Common Questions and Answers about Seizure symptoms blackouts

seizure

Avatar f tn A seizure disorder and some underlying conditions such as an anemic state, hormonal imbalance, and cardiac disorders have to be ruled out. I suggest that you inform your parents about this so that you may have an appointment with your physician. With regards to your headaches, have you had your headaches before? Or are these recent onset and sudden onset headaches? Lack of sleep, anxiety and depression may contribute to your symptoms or it can be the other way around.
Avatar f tn No i haven't been tested, i read about MS, among it's symptoms was seizure and it doesn't happen with me, so I excluded it from my options, do you i should reconsider it??
Avatar n tn Over the past 3 years i have had periodic black outs where i just collapse on the floor everything goes dark and i can feel a terrable pressure all around my head sort of like a head ache but everywhere the longest one i have had lasted about 4 or 5 mins and led to a short seizure. I am just tired of this happening it happens at least once a day and at most four times a day i have had a seizure every month for the past six months.
Avatar f tn He has been strangely absent, forgetful, stressed, and foggy since the seizure 5 weeks ago. His dizziness, head pressure and blackouts are back. He messed up a few days on his meds taking only ½ doses each night (switched to slow release and just forgot what to do in his fogginess). He had another seizure a few days ago. Please give any advice you have regarding what to do, what to ask Epileptic Center Docs in Denver. Are there test to get to the bottom of this? What about his heart?
Avatar f tn It still sounds like some type of seizure disorder to me. Look at the evidence. Sometimes every neurologist disagree with each others diagnoses. This in tern is not good for you and your situation. I am a 54 yr old male and I was diagnosed by a common doctor of having Generalized Anxiety Disorder way back in 1975 so, they put me on Anxiety medications but, the seizures still came along just the same.
Avatar f tn I have been having low blood pressure and having blackouts. Some of the times I end up passed out on the floor and usually a little flopping episode like a sezour. Can anyone help me know what its from and the cause?

7412561 tn?1390729433 Hi There, My husband (38) who is epileptic has now been suffering from what i call mini blackouts 1-2 times a week. He takes Epanutin tablets one 300mg per day and hasn't suffered from a full blown seizure in more than 7 years. He was driving one day though and had a mini blackout. It was like his vision was blurred.
Avatar f tn My son had been taking Tysabri for 3 1/2 years. During that time he’s had at least 3 blackouts where he has had very bizarre behavior but does not remember any of it. The neurologist said it wasn’t caused by the Tysabri, I disagree. This past June he went off of Tysabri and in August started taking the pill Tecfidera. Last week he had another blackout! Again the neurology office said it wasn’t the med that he should call his PCP. I really think it’s these medications causing the blackouts.
Avatar n tn Hi, please get EEG done to rule out seizure disorder as this could be absence seizure. Other possibility is arrhythmia for which EKG is diagnostic. Do you have family history of seizures or history of birth anoxia?

2197254 tn?1338502395 Hi the SA Node had a 40% blockage built up inside it and this was causing the SA Node to start having some form of spasms/seizures lasting approximatley a couple of minutes, during these spasm/seizures my heart rate would drop to 31bpm because not enough blood was being pumped into my heart during the spasm/seizure and as soon as the spasm/seizure would end my heart rate went back up to normal rate, this was causing me to collapse on each occassion and other symptoms which is why they fitted the
309199 tn?1237500652 can anyone experiencing blackouts with seizure"s please tell about it .i suffer from this but doctors dont seem to understand it ...........nothing new there .......
Avatar f tn Those are serious symptoms. Could you have had a seizure? I don't see how decreasing your alcohol intake can cause those symptoms. Unless you have a severe addiction and they are withdrawal symptoms. That is extremely serious, you could drop dead. Even if that is not the case you need to consult a doctor. Maybe you had a mini stroke and didn't know. Seek medical attention.
Avatar m tn However what I am worried about is I ever have to stop drinking for some reason will I be in serious risk of a seizure since both wellbutrin and alcohol lower seizure threshold? Or am I risk of seizure even if I continue to drink this much (I wont allow myself to drink anymore than 4 drinks a day). I will drink heavily some nights and I am not worried about blackouts and puking and what not because its all part of it.
Avatar n tn My vision is continuing to get worse (about 70/20 now, from 50/20 last year and i do wear glasses) My blackouts are usually very short and i just have to grab hold of something so i dont fall. I have had 3 complete black outs where i have woken up on the floor not knowing what had happened. Today at school particularly got me worried. My math teacher had us stand up and pose what the graph of a log function looked like.
Avatar f tn I just wanted to see if anyone else experiences blackouts and if so how long do they typically last? I can pretty much handle the other symptoms but blacking out scares me.
Avatar n tn I had these symptoms alot in the beginning of my pregnancy make sure you take breaks and sit and keep your feet up
