Seizure of money

Common Questions and Answers about Seizure of money

Avatar f tn I read people can develop post-head injury seizures, but this doesn't seem like any type of seizure I know of. I've just been dismissing it as one of the many wierd things my body does post-accident. Haven't been to the doctor cuz I don't think I could describe it to him & I think he would dismiss it too and therefore would be a waste of money. Does this sound like anything I should be worried about?
Avatar m tn He thinks he had a seizure during the night. He said he had uncontrolled shaking of his entire body. He also experienced and episode where his tongue started burning entensely and curled to the back of his mouth. This lasted a few minutes, and afterward he was extremely fatiqued. I advised him to see a doctor but he has no insurance. He thinks he had a seizure. He has been having frquent headaches. He is a very healthy young man, who has never been seriously ill before.
401370 tn?1233328282 If you have very few symptoms of a seizure, but didn't endure the full blown effects (silent seizure perhaps?), can an EMG still detect it? Just wondering, because I have Lupus, and sometimes I will notice SEVERE dizzy spells for like 5 seconds, along with numbness or tingling feeling of my teeth WHILE the dizzy spells are taking place, then a weird jolt down my left arm.. (I had tests performed by my doc and they stated it wasn't heart related). Very strange..
Avatar f tn Search Free medications, pharmacutical assistance, somthing like that. Also some of the pharmacutical companies can assist. Check who made your meds and contact them. I use a heating pad sometimes when the pain is real bad on my legs, feet, toes, hands, arms etc.. and it helps. I also use ice packs on my the bottom of my feet when they are burning. Hope you get better.
Avatar n tn They took your license because if a person might have a seizure, it is too dangerous for them to drive. Once some time passes and you are no longer in danger of seizure, you'll get your license back. And I hope you realize that becoming an alcoholic is not "self inflicted" as your family doc said, so I hope you will eventually switch to another doc that is more professional.
Avatar n tn Also, this has nothing to do with the seizure, but your husband working 12 hours daily in front of a computer is a very bad thing, this cannot go on, consider changing that, please.
207091 tn?1337713093 Yeah, my vet's lab work is lots of money! It's because of the lab they have to send the bloodwork to. They increased their price and so did our vet. My 15 yr old girl, Skunkie, is due for some bloodwork, too. She's got very low potassium levels-been that way for about 7 yrs. I have to give her potassium pills every day! She gets human potassium pills, instead of the potass. supplements for pets. It's a lot less expensive and is working according to her bloodwork.
Avatar n tn In order to determine what is the cause of your dog's seizures an MRI would have to be performed. Sometimes skull X-Rays can show abnormalities. MRI's are of course very expensive. The leading causes of seizures in a two year old dog are abnormalities in the brain such as hydrocephalus, idiopathic epilepsy (unknown cause) and head trauma.
Avatar m tn If I were you, I would switch back to the prior brand leave things a week and see what happens. If another seizure occurs after this time period, then clearly it isn't the change of brand.
Avatar n tn Ask your vet if it would be reasonable to assume that he's having seizures, and treat him accordingly with small doses of phobarbital. Has your vet actually seen one of these episodes? If not, can you get a video when one happens to aid in diagnosis? I'm so sorry you have to deal with a sick pup on top of your husband's illness. Best wishes.
94007 tn?1224766336 Thats not good. As some of you may remember, he is disabled and on seizure meds which can CAUSE liver damage. How much of that damage comes from the meds its hard to say. He is going to treat in the fall but is switching to another med - Keppra. Is anyone familiar with it? We cant see how he does off the meds because treatment lowers the seizure threshhold. Lots of complications and unanswered questions. That can only be answered by experience - doc is concerned.
Avatar n tn A side issue is that I had been treated for strep throat three weeks ago but after treatment my temperature remained elevated (99.1-99.5) and my normal temp is 97.5. Can this be caused be seizure of this type? My eegof several years ago showed spikes in temporal lobe which is how the epilepsy was determined. My Neuro has not returnded several calls since last week and yesterday and doesn't even know I had the seizure. Is this possibly palinopsia?
Avatar f tn that ended up in a seizure. He has had these episodes before about 2-4times that I know of. I notice it happens when he gets scared. That really must have scared him, me closing the lid. He darted out, tailed bushed out and flung and flopped all over the house, incontinent of urine as he is running and ended up under my bed in a full blown seizure twitching, drooling and foaming at the mouth. Eyes dilated. He came out of it slowly and is slowly reorienting himself.
Avatar f tn My 2 months shy of 8 yrs Shih Tzu Madeleine, just had a frontal seizure 2 days ago. This caused her temp to spike to 106 and vets were only able to get it down to 104 for hours. Her bp was 180-190 range, now stable. She has never had a seizure before and hasnt had one since. Her temp seems to have regulated. Cause for seizure is unknown. We are awaiting results on the valley fever. Adrenal US tests are wanting to be done before further brain imaging.
Avatar n tn I had my first unexplained seizure about 2 years after I had my lasik surgery. I also had a second 13 months after that. I have had the thought that there may be some connection as well because I am a healthy, 43 yoa, female. I don't understand how I could have a seizure unexplained... all the testing shows nothing. So, now I'm on meds for the rest of my life.
Avatar f tn Does she have a seizure disorder? I can't imagine her having seizures from coming off of heroin unless maybe there is some alcohol or benzos involved also? If that's the case then they are not doing enough for her. The depakote won't touch that! Depakote would only need to be used for a seizure problem unrelated to withdrawals. I know that's not what you're asking, but I'm trying to help figure out what's going on and from there find out how you should go about it from here.
Avatar m tn Hi there, Our dog Charlie is having seizures at least twice a week and now with a bloody nose we are worried about him last night he just started sneezing for like 2 minutes and could not stop and blood coming out of his nose so bad it was bloody mess. I was told to put him to sleep and we refuse to. Does anyone have any ideals or suggestion.
Avatar n tn dear Dee, I work at a residential treatment facility that specializes in treatment of partial complex seizure disorder. I assume that since you are familiar with the diagnosis, you must already be in touch with our facility. If not, Contact the CNS neuropsychiatric program in Austin TX, or look up Dr. Dan Matthews or Dr. Larry Fisher. they can help!!!! good luck.
543578 tn?1214415607 It sounds like a seizure disorder. Chihuahua's are prone to seizures due to heredity conformation of the shape of their skulls and brains. Chihuahua's often have open fontanelles (on the top of their skulls) which make it a bit easier to for them to get head trauma, and many have hydrocephalus which goes undetected unless they do have a seizure.
897333 tn?1280394878 but I really do not want to put her through that at her age and we really do not have the money. Our vet believes (without testing) that possibly a small piece of clot broke loose and caused this or possibly a brain tumor (I guess seizures are one of the first symptoms). She has had no further seizures to this point. As I looked over the past few week or so with her I now recall that she was sleeping more than usual and not eating as much as normal..her daily activity was way down.
215234 tn?1305146561 Could you make a list for me of all the plants you have at home? Could you post it? Honey I honestly don't think seizures are to be taken lightly. Tell me, has her brain been checked? Any MRIs or Scans? You probably did blood work, but blood work does not show whether there is a fracture in the brain, a leakage, or any other kind of issues. How do you know her central nervous system is 100% good?
Avatar n tn She's been told that the seizure was triggered by the impact of her head hitting the floor, but damage was caused that persists until now. She had never had a seizure in her life, nor had anyone in her family background until that particular day. The passing out was deemed to be caused from severe stress, combined with little to eat, resulting in possibly low blood sugar. Even though our nasty supv was not the precipitating cause, she certainly could have been that famous straw.
Avatar m tn Otherwise, she goes for the ankle and shakes her head, like a wild animal on the throat of their prey. However, with the young dog, after the seizure, she didn't shake her head once she latched on, she simply bit down and held in that position until I slapped her and managed to make her let go.
Avatar m tn It has gone cross eyed won't stand properly and just wants to sleep I rang the vet and they said to bring it in but will cost $160 befor they will look at it and I don't have that kind of money please help and advise me what I can do and what could be wrong I have hand raised this kitten since it was 1 day old is now about 2-3 months

Avatar n tn He would on a good day drink around 2 litres of wine and maybe 1500mls of beer and possibly a few cans of a spirit/soda mix. He may have less than this and on his bad days he will have much more. Do you try half it each week???

Avatar f tn I dont know what to do. He does not have a job or insurance. He has been draining me of my money. He scares me sometimes and I dont want to find him dead next time. Especially if he is having seizures with out having just used drugs. He sounds like he cant breathe when he sleeps. I have been with him for a long time but he is not the same. Does he have some permanent damage to his brain from this? What do I do? I cant pay for his rehab.
Avatar n tn Instead, he told me of any incident of headache and we would give him Tylenol and have him lay down. The headaches decreased over the next year or two and things remained uneventful until three years ago when he started passing out at home. He would remain unconcious for 10 or 20 seconds and then come to, none the worse for wear. Over the past several years he has been doing this more often.
