1098760 tn?1266447897 It had reached a point of go buy a raw cut of meat and open and eat it straight from the package uncooked. So Id say its a bit beyond simple diet changes. I rather like how taking the supplement (only 25mgs) makes it so I no longer crave raw meat. its kinda scary to play Russian rulet with ecoli or mad cow or worms or something... Im not as pail either, tho Im still a ghost complexion. and I will burn through a tinted window in a car. I would say Im anemic by the symptoms.
5665620 tn?1373911058 I'm 24 wks and still can't eat meat.. in fact I just found out I'm severely anemic ...

Avatar f tn Note there is a difference between the cause of a seizure and a trigger. Seizures can be caused by head injury (at any time in your life), diabetes side effects, a high fever as a child or a virus/bacterium like meningitis. Triggers are things like alcohol drinks, flashing lights (like driving a car through shade/shadow or watching window blinds flickering the light from a breeze, or for some people anything raising the adrenaline level. In women, PMS is usually a trigger.
Avatar f tn My husband is a type 2 diabetic and is 70 years old. Out of the blue a few months ago he had an episode in the night that I didn't witness but the symptoms were that of a seizure according to the Doctor who saw him in the hospital (he had a fall at the time and had superficial facial wounds) The doctor put him on dilantin and they did an EEG. Then he was taken off the dilantin because the EEG didn't show anythin g.
Avatar f tn There are different types of epilepsy with different characteristics like grand mal epilepsy you have tonic clonic generalized muscle contractions, frothing, unconsciousness, twitches, metal confusion, some may lose bladder and bowel control, usually preceded by an aura of impending seizure. aura is a strange feeling of muscle stiffening, hearing weird sounds, smelling strange smells etc. absence seizure manifest as brief staring spells where the person is cut off from the surroundings.
Avatar n tn The temporary lack of oxygen to your brain can cause some seizure activity. That may explain your symptoms after the event. There are other possible explanations, so you should.share this info with your primary care doctor. My explantion is not a diagnosis. Best of luck to you. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I never herd of diet saying not to eat meat unless is vegetarian. Do eat meat, its needed for body. The only thing im doing is eat less of it, and thats only because I dont fancy it.once I stopped eating meat and I had dental problem. If you eat little or none, try to get the nutrition , vitamins from other meals then.
Avatar n tn many things can happen depending on duration of seizure - if they are still drinking - stop if they have stopped it could be a withdrawal seizure which usually occurs shortly after stopping ( few days - few weeks )
Avatar m tn Urgent please... My 12 years daughter is having watery diarrhear since last two days with red streaks. Our problem is confounded by the fact that she suffers from neurological deficit (MR), so one really can not get any information out of her (she won't answer questions). She is currently on seizure medication and has not had one for last 2 years. I am giving her sporlac tablet (would not swallow liquid easily) 4 times a day and twice a day enteroquinol. She is doing still the same.
1216231 tn?1272475704 ve heard of that blood-type diet, but I doubt it has any real bearing on how much of what type of meat we should eat. Also, there's just no way under the sun I'd ever become a vegetarian. Just look at our teeth. The incisors and canines are meant for tearing while the back ones are flat and only meant for mashing. http://bit.ly/d4jhyt If we were meant to be herbivores, we would not have incisors or canines.
Avatar f tn Hi- I'm sorry you guys. I really can't give you an exact amount or length of time to pass the seizure risk. It's anywhere from five to fourteen days; everyone is different. There's not a lot of difference based on amounts that you've taken. You still run the risk of seizure. I have to urge both of you to contact a medical professional about this.
Avatar n tn The thing is, i have been put on almost all of known anit seizure medications, none seem tobe as effective as it should be, i beleive at one time i was close to depression while on depakot, then i met a specialist who then put me on Zonegran, it worked for a couple years or so, then i moved to Las Vegas back in 03, it started again inspite the drugs, perhaps a combonation of stress, and lack of sleep could be the cause of it all?
Avatar f tn I am 4 months post surgery, and my experiance is a 27 year old with uncontrolled right temporal lobe epilepsy for 14 years having been on every combination of meds out there, I still continued on my days with complex partial seizures even on 4500mg of meds per day, so that is why I was put through complex testing to localize where the epilepsy was coming from, they focalized it and resected it out, and Ive been now 4mnths with 1 seizure and many auras, all of which have gone!
Avatar f tn I am sorry, but most antibiotics can cause seizures as complications and some like erythromycin and related antibiotics affect the efficacy of seizure medications. But if you need to take antibiotic, augmentin should be ok, but please take a multivitamin B with it. There is no antibiotic (in my knowledge) which can be considered 100% safe, but like I said earlier, the incidence of seizures with augmentin is pretty low. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn or at least it is not a known side effect of hydrocodone...everyone is different...trams are known for this as they lower the seizure threshold....20-30 hydros is not helping u get off narctoics tho as u are replacing one addiction for another...it would be good to start tapering off the hydros asap...
Avatar m tn It does still fit the description of a seizure. Not all seizures involve paddling, slobbering and loss of bladder control. Those are basically what are considered to be grand mal seizures. Petite mal seizures can be anything from a twitching of the head to a state of catatonia for a brief time, which sounds more or less like what your girl had. Please let us know what the vet says when you do get to take her in. Good luck to you!
