Common Questions and Answers about Seizure kids videos

seizure

Avatar n tn Whatever the reason he is doing this is something their family must resolve. My question is this - are there any videos out there of someone having a grand mal seizure to show him? He seems to think that it's "no big deal" and that his seizures aren't frightening to his family and friends. We are worried that he will have one when he is alone with his children or worse, driving them somewhere.

He seems to think that it's "no big deal" and that his seizures aren't frightening to his family and friends. My brother feels that if his son were to observe a grand mal seizure he would realize the seriousness of his situation.
98010 tn?1305899735 Having young children at home makes it difficult to get out to a gym or aerobics class, but I really want to start exercising more. Are there any videos out there that offer a good cardio workout, are easy to follow, and fun? Thanks for any suggestions.

Avatar m tn The EEG showed extra activity on one side of his brain. The Neurologist said that it indicates seizure possiblilities. His behavior has seemed to change since the last seizure. We can't figure it out. Any ideas of things we should do from here. Avatar m tn Hi. If your observation is that your son has a seizure "everytime" he eats, it would be safe to say it's a trigger. Have you taken a video of the seizure activity? Has anyone taken a look down his throat? Perhaps he should see an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist. That's where I would take him. Does it seem to make a difference if he's eating hot or cold foods? Does drinking liquids bring on the seizure? Or just solid foods?
Avatar f tn i learnt to have my bloodwork done at least 2 times a year to check my levels.i do have 3 healthy kids and all of them are seizure free. do you have any warning before you have a seizure? do you feel them comming on? my warnings are i feel out of it and very tired and weak. i have been on dilantin since i was a kid. i have explained to my kids about my seizures and showed them how to call 911. i hope this helps you but please dont let seizures control your life.
Avatar m tn Hi all, I noticed 4 days ago that my 5 months old son sometimes shakes his head with his eyes rolling back. It occurs 7 to 9 times everyday, and lasts for 1 - 2 seconds every time. Mostly this happens when he is sleepy. Other than this abnormal behaviors, his other behaviors such as eating and playing are quite normal. We visited a family doctor yesterday, and showed her our recorded videos of my baby's shaking-head behavior.
Avatar m tn Are you sure she's not dreaming? Dogs DO dream, and some of them actually RUN in their sleep! They can also be sound asleep with their eyes open. It's pretty unlikely that she's only having seizures when she's asleep, if she was prone to a seizure disorder she certainly would have had at least ONE while she was awake. The odds against her never having a seizure while awake but always having them while sleeping are staggering.
Avatar f tn 2 Neurologist believed that I may have multiple sclerosis but both referred me to a movement disorder specialist that said he believed I have auras with migraines that caused the leisons in my brain. I do have auras but most are followed by some type of seizure. I was told they were non-epileptic seizures/migralepsy. He also said you can have migraines with aura without a headache.
12981378 tn?1440334797 Yeah that is how I feel also. It's like I'm watching the baby breathe. I couldn't find anything on the Internet (medical stuff on it) besides ladies asking abt it n saying it's baby practicing breathing. I do hope it means the lungs are fully developed. I just got a bit worried cuz on one post someone mentioned what if the baby was having a seizure in there. But it's just a calm normal pattern of breathing so I'm not going to worry.

Avatar f tn My grandson is 6 mos and started having these shaking episodes that happen when he is nursing about to fall a sleep or asleep. They last 10-15 seconds. No eye movement and seem to not really effect him. He doesn't awaken and continues to be uneffected. Videos of infants with the simular movements can be seen at http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=8768121879063943219&hl=en-GB also at http://www.neurology.
Avatar n tn at 2 months was diagnosed and treated for pyloric stynosis. at about 6 months we noticed a strange seizure-like episode that occured off and on, sometimes frequently. this involved blinking her eyes while simultaneously making a clearing of the throat sound. we took her to the emergency room where they ran a few tests for drugs. they then did a mri, eeg, and video monitoring. the neurologist said it was not seizures.

Avatar n tn Hi, Our 2 year old was just diagnosed with PDD-NOS. I've been reading a lot about video modeling and really feel that this works. The few words that our daughter does have are from watching some videos. To get my daughter to wave, I'd love to buy a video that showed other kids waving. Do you know if this exists? Thanks!
Avatar f tn So my husband, my daughters father and I all sat down and talked to her about it, and we grounded her from her tablet for about a month, we were kind of clueless on how to handle this. Well it happened again, and now there’s 2 videos days apart from each other she they’re getting a little worse. This time I need to do something more effective. Is this the new norm for kids in this generation? What do I do about it? What do I do with her tablet?
