I am a healthy 52 year old female, fit, and exercise daily, non smoker. No history of chest pain. I went to Mexico and took my first scuba dive lesson. Due to a malfunctioning regulator, my lungs filled with sea water and I almost drowned. I struggled to breath for almost 2 hours before reaching a clinic. I was given diuretics, steroids to dry out my lungs and put on oxygen. I'm not used to the heat and lost a lot of fluids.

Right!. Im so sorry!.. I believe everyone should know how to swim..before entering a pool. And kids are not supposed to be left unsupervised.
Half way to the hospital, which is in walking distance if your in decent shape (2 miles), i started having a seizure. i have no recollection of anything else until the next day. I was told that the nurses had to pull me from the car and get me on a gurney, quote "while i was flailing like a drowning pigeon", and they stuck me in the leg with 4 mg lorazepam, 5mg valium, and 200mgs of phenobarbitol over the next 20 minutes to get me stable.
First time for me here..ive really done it this time, im so deep I feel like I can not get my head above the water. I want so badly to just stop taking these dang pills ive been wanting to quit for a couple months now but the physical wd's are so bad for me that I give in and take them. Im in so much financial troubles right now, my husband has a great paying job and there is no reason we should be so behind on bills and living pay check to pay check!
No sounds made, just slight trembling of entire body--especially visible in upper body (head, arms, etc.) Seemed like a mild seizure. I could stop them by taking away his bottle /waking him up. They lasted about 30 seconds or so (but I didn't let them end naturally). I have a referral now to see a pediatrician, but should I insist on a neurology specialst to be sure to rule out anything serious?
my 2 year old grandson had a seizure, he has never had any other health issue that would explain this. before the seizure he had is finger near his eye, we thought he had something in it but then he had this seizure like episode. After seeing a ped. neu. He said it was caused by him hitting a spot on the eye. that caused it. What is the name of this, and, is there any articles I could read about it ??
I was also treated for, I believe, alcohol withdrawal as a precausion, however while in hospital I had another mild seizure and at this point, I believe, they didnt know what was wrong with me. I had had a very pro-longed migraine leading up to the seizure (it lasted about 4 days) and a pain in my neck and shoulder blade (like a "crick" in my neck, it wasnt a severe pain, but intensified up to the seizure).
She verbally committed to swim at a Division I top 20 program a few weeks ago, so in addition to being concerned for her well-being, we are anxious to not interrupt her training any more than necessary.
She has had about 8-10 episodes of presyncope of varying levels of severity in the past three months.
When I was a child, the doctors noticed some water in my lungs and had to get it drained. Way before the draining, I have choked on liquids (as people do sometimes) but I almost drowned in a pool once and inhaled a lot of liquid. I was fine after the drowning incident though. I was pulled out and I coughed a bit and that was it. It's been like 10 years or so now since the doctors drained my lungs and from time to time I still choke on small amounts of liquids.
I have seen doctors and had all kinds of tests run. They tested to see if it was seizure related, blood sugar, cat scans, tip test, etc. My doctor concluded "some girls just swoon" needless to say this just made me angry. (that happened a few years ago) My 'spells' don't happen frequently but when they do it's very upsetting. The first time it happened was definitely the worst.
Temp went down but then got a feeling of liquid in chest. When I would breathe I could hear rumbling of liquid. Went to doc and she said I had a snius infection and post nasal drip. A day later I am still not better and now gagging foamy white plem. Almost like throwing up from my throat and still having the rumbling filling. Also having diarrhea 3 times today. I took mucinix but didn't help and did saline spray. Should I be worried.
