Avatar f tn Let me say something about my 64 years of BPD just to let you know there are no "quick fixes,"at least none I know of.... I'll post my story here in a series of "short"(!!!) instalments to make it easier to take in.-Ron Price, Tasmania. ___________________________ 1.
Avatar f tn I mean, dont get me wrong, I feed her, she is in no way lacking in food (obviously, she's 20lbs!) And I would never deny her food. I just dont want her to reach an unhealthy size where she is considered overweight. As of now, she's not because she's also growing length wise. I dont know, am i thinking about this way to much?

Avatar n tn Dear Donna, Taurine is a conditionally-essential amino acid which is not utilized in protein synthesis, but rather is found free or in simple peptides. Taurine has been shown to be essential in certain aspects of mammalian development, and in vitro studies in various species have demonstrated that low levels of taurine are associated with various pathological lesions, including cardiomyopathy, retinal degeneration, and growth retardation, especially if deficiency occurs during development.
Avatar n tn If you don't die from heart failure or respiratory collapse, then this hell will continue for another couple of days in which you will problably go into the DT's [Delirium Tremens] where you won't even know where you are, who you are, and what is happening to you. You will be in complete seizure delirium. As Thomas mentioned you will end up in the psych ward and probably violent like you never thought you could get. The fear builds too as it goes along.
Avatar n tn I took 60mg of oxycotins a day for 2 years, along with 5-6 percocet 650's and stopped them for 6 weeks, the headaches and back pain were too much, but I did not want to go back to the oxy's and perc's my Dr. said vicoprophen was not as strong, someone fill me in please. When I went off the other stuff I really didn't have any major withdrawals, just pain as usuall and a little nervousness.
377493 tn?1356505749 was interesting. Journey, you are correct. In the US it is pretty common. Europe, Canada and Latin America, it is pretty much non existant. I honestly don't want to put him through it, but I also don't want him to have problems later in life...I am not sure why I am so stuck on that. I know it's probably not super common for them to have problems later, but I guess I think about it because it's impacted me personally (I adore my nephew and hate to see him in pain).
Avatar m tn This just buts in like a seizure or craving for ice cream. It doesn't respond to corticosteriods, which are the recommended first-line treatment. Also, I'm not in the high-incidence groups (women, middle age, history of skin conditions).

975514 tn?1325001538 Also, I think what is going on in your environment is just as important as what is happening in regards to your health care management choices. You could be exercising five days a week, eating right and taking the right balance of vitamins and medications, but if you have a stressful job or a bad relationship at home that you are not managing, your health and your fibromyalgia can definitely flare up.
Avatar f tn I left my home with my kids 4 days ago, I just couldnt take care of him or handle the verbal abuse anymore it was killing me and my kids. I love him dearly and I want him sober. He's been in out patient rehab twice in the last 2 years and i cant count the hospital trips. Any way he goes to inpatient finally in 3 days and I already miss him. Everyone says take it one day at a time and take care of me.
Avatar n tn I also made the decision to allow my mom to die without any agressive measures, and I have never ever at any moment regretted that decison..perhaps it has to do with me being in the medical profession and I knew in my heart that anything extreme would have been futile...I knew that the medication they were giving her was the best they could do and it was her time...but I never thought her time would ever come does that make sense?
Avatar n tn IT makes me feel nausous and (I have Epilespy and just started having seizures again in June after being seizure free for 30 years) I did not notice this until a few days ago but I am wonder if this is what set off my seizures again.. Avatar n tn It is called astral travel. It happens to people who are more in tune or who have a lineage of those more in tune with the spiritual world. Your soul is not a part of your body but more inside your body. Sometime during sleep it leaves but is never unattached. There are so many things in this world that people do not understand and one of them is that we are such a small part of this large universe. We are all souls and we do not die. We inhabit these crapy bodies to do our duties on earth.
Avatar m tn I can feel them crawling under my skin, they hang out in my ear (not sure if under the skin or just in the canal) all day, it's gross. No one in the house (my wife and 3 kids) can feel them. My wife has bites all up and down her legs and even a protruded ring looking this on her forearm. As you might have imagined I'm loosing my mind and life, nothing is the same.
Avatar n tn Tannins are not only found in coffee and soda, but in chocolate and red wine as well. Adverse reactions to herbicides and pesticides used to grow coffee beans is a much more common culprit of adverse reactions. Keeping a diary of food consumed, physical and mental feelings each day, and physical activity will aid in discovering specific reasons for allergic reactions. Caffeine allergy symptoms can be as subtle as tingling in the mouth, itchy skin, and minor swelling of the throat.
Avatar n tn I try to stand up or sit up at the computer and it feels like someone is stabbing me in the back on the right bottom side of my left shoulder blade in between my shoulder and spine. tylenol doesnt seem to help.... Im 9 months pregnant and have a 4 year old so stress may very well be a cause but GOD this hurts!!
Avatar n tn ) This is usually a feeling of lightheadedness and a drop in blood pressure. I can usually avoid the seizure by putting my head between my legs to get more blood to my brain. I have read that others have had a diagnosis of GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) related to these events. I have been diagnosed with both in the past. I am sure that this is vasovagal fainting associated with valsalva.
Avatar n tn I do feel in control of my depression but I seem to have no control over my weight. I am hopeful that after I am off the drug 100% that my body will return to some kind of normal - fingers crossed! Please everyone keep posting - I want to know how things are going for you too. Thanks.
