Avatar f tn Hello. You have done a good job by bringing this to the forum. There is a possibility of a partial seizure. But you should also consider something called as eye tics. These are not so uncommon in infants. You may need to get an EEG done. A video EEG is preferred. It has the advantage of letting us see the brain waves during such an episode or up rolling of eyes. Did he have any significant birth complications?
Avatar m tn Under certain circumstances this can precipitate an actual epileptic seizure. Or a medical condition somewhat short of a complete seizure. The same thing can happen from the flickering of sun through an aircraft propeller blade. Certain animations and CRT configurations exacerbate this phenomena. The "flicker" affects the brain. How exactly a seizure is induce is not clear. This medical problem has been well-documented and researched.
Avatar n tn t look at any of them for more than a few minutes before having a seizure. It is very plausible that he could have seizures from playing video games for that amount of time if he is photo sensitive.
Avatar n tn I had Epilepsy diagnosed and my first seizure at age 30 - my social life improved. I cared more about what my life and work was doing to me. My guess is that any beer or alcohol is hirting your son. An average seizure is over in within 5", though mine are longer. There is info on first aid for epilepsy. Definitely if he falls protect his head against anything hard or sharp. During or after a seizure he may have mucus which can be relieved by turning him to the side.
Avatar f tn at the time he was playing a video game. we found out this day that he had a smaller type seizure at a friends house about a month ago that he did not tell us about. during both times he was playing video games. he also complains of periodic headaches, but they are not bad. EMS was called and he was taken to the ER. at first they did a cat scan with contrast that was normal. the next morning they did an MRI with contrast. they found a 1.1cm right temporal lobe 'lesion'.
Avatar f tn My disorder is called Simple-Partial seizures with Aura. The symptoms are much like those of a severe panic attack only panic attacks don't have the Aura. The aura is where you start feeling REALLY weird like your going to go crazy, feel like your going to die right before you seizure, limbs with pins and needles, numbness, especially in my lips/face, headache, my muscles will burn, freezing, profuse sweating, and this could last all day before I have a seizure in the evening.
536029 tn?1213648108 they thought it was pseudo fits at first until they had a video of it then said it wasnt..any ideas please i cant cope with it all any longer.

401370 tn?1233324682 First of all, any officer of the law, in order to treat any inmate, has to be certified in CPR, First Aid, and alot of other procedures, and this is especially ONE of them! It's common in inmates who are detoxing cold turkey off of strong meds like morphine, and even worse on heroine!
Avatar f tn My husband is 30 and yesterday had a severe seizure. His body tensed up, and his eyes rolled in the back of his head and then he started compulsiving and spitting up. I believe this was a seizure. After wards he became very combative and was very confused. He doesn't remember the seizure at all. The doctor said that it was due to substances abuse.
Avatar f tn I could literally see it in my arm, it was actually fluctuating almost like viabrating, id describe it as a mini seizure. I have absolutely no clue why this is happening, but its recently been happening a lot to my neck and back. If anyone could shed a bit of light on this, that would be great. Thanks for reading this.
Avatar n tn my daughter was in a car accident in december of 06. may of 07 was her first seizure. she has had 12 seizures to date. in and out of the hospital. they put her on anti-seizure meds, depakote. she still has seizures. they start off as a bad headache. this past hospital trip she had her headache for 6 days. finally they gave her morphine. then she vomitted and had another seizure. they ran a CAT scan, and an MRI and an EEG. the neuro says they are non-seizures. what does that mean?!
Avatar f tn Hello. Nocturnal seizures do wake up the patient. It seems she is fully aware of her surroundings during the hand shaking. It appears to a partial seizure. The initial electric sensation can be an aura of the epilepsy. How old is your daughter ? Did she have any seizures earlier in life ? I can understand that she does not have insurance, But I'm afraid there are certain necessary things to be done. One of them is a Neurologist's opinion.
Avatar n tn If you cannot show her the video of herself, then I would ask her who her doctor is, and SEND HIM A COPY OF THE VIDEO and ask him/her to please help you! Or show it to your own doctor and ask what he/she thinks is the next course of action. Good luck, and please keep us informed. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I just posted a video of them at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?
18075342 tn?1462961588 Hoping that someone could help me. I am intending to do a first aid course from Rescue 7 in Toronto. The thing is that I have my grandma and grandpa at home and both are heart patients. So my mom advised me to do it to help them in emergency situations. The institute, that I mentioned here is near to my home and they provide following courses https://www.rescue7.net/training/. Which one should I choose in order to help them?
Avatar m tn I have seen seizure dogs have their first seizure, pop out of it before the vet could run down the hall, and appear to be fine. I have also, very sadly, seen seizure dogs whose owners waited days, and brought their dog in after seizing non-stop for that whole time. These dogs rarely survive, and if they do, there is very severe drain damage.
Avatar m tn Hi my recently 9 year old Border Terrier had his first seizures 2 days ago. He was completely fine before hand and then on the night of the 3rd he had 4 seizures about an hour apart from each. I took him to the vet first thing in the morning and he put him on diazepam 10mg twice a day, and a 5 mg dose of a digestion aid, (I think for him to not experience too much stomach upset on the meds).
486038 tn?1300063367 Do I need to seek testing? I have had several possible seizure last fall, they ranged from several seconds (were I would just stare in space and not speak) to several minutes (where I had an aura before had that felt like something washed over me and then I was seperated or a bit detached and I could not speak and afterwards had a terrible headache) and these were witnessed by my mom.
Avatar f tn Then I went to another neurologist who had me do another long term video eeg. I had a seizure on it which did not show up on the eeg and did not possess any resemblance to epileptic seizures. I had just been kicked out of school due to the fact that my seizures were "disturbing to the other students". After that, I went and saw a psychologist who kept changing the reasons for my seizures. I stopped seeing him after he began trying to sell me his "stress tapes".
