Avatar f tn Hello, so a few years ago I had a few comcussions and was also doing illicit drugs and I had this exsperiencd where it felt like I was having a seizure and then I passed out out of the blue and I woke up never the same since.
Avatar m tn , and a father in the article described how the a particular tincture managed to keep his childs' epileptic seizures in check, with-out the use of the powerful anti-psychotics that are used, which double as anti-seizure medicines. The anti-seizure medicines (Depakote and Trileptal are two of them used) were producing serious psych sx in the child, and once the pills were substituted for medical cannabis, the child was able to function much more normally.

Avatar f tn The person doing the test said that my pupils dilated very large, and she thinks that I may have lost consciousness, and compared it to having a seizure. My heart rate dropped down to 50 beats/min, and my blood pressure was 80/60). The epsiodes I normally have do not result in a drop in heart rate or blood pressure. I found it interesting that I actaully felt a little better after the tilt table test.
Avatar n tn It is related to his bladdar, or spinal injury and pressure on the spinal nerves. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC490734/pdf/jnnpsyc00083-0088.pdf This article has given a scenario where compression to the cauda equina presents spontaneous priapism. I just feel like I am searching for a needle in a haystack for a very uncommon and mysterious medical condition.
460168 tn?1206434584 I have a history of seizure disorder along with Sjoegren's syndrome. I was recently in a sever car accident and was sent to a neurologist to check me over since I'd had transient tingling in my arms since the accident, and a very bad case of whiplash. I was almost immediately diagnosed with MS after the doc watched me walk and studied my eye movement. Not exactly what I wanted to hear.
Avatar n tn I strongly suggest you find a neurologist (Epileptologist) that specializes in seizure disorders. You will need a test called an EEG for proper diagnosis. This condition is treatable with specific medications but first you need to be diagnosed and other conditions need to be ruled out. If you live in Florida I can give you some contacts of doctors that may be able to help you. Good luck and sorry to hear that you are going though this.
Avatar n tn She is being referred to a different neurologist to evaluate the migraines/seizure angle since the first neuro blew us off. But also I wonder if we are back to the neurocardiogenic syncope, or if maybe she does need to see another type of cardiac specialist? It certainly sounds like it's not cardiac, but I guess we'll see what happens when she tries to resume training. Everything I read said that near fainting while exercising is a rad flag.

Avatar n tn it all started abouth 2 years ago, when I was lying in bed in the morning and in that 'about to get up' and 'still drowsy, lying in' stage I would have an odd sensation in my head. Sort of like a head rush, but more overpowering. How I would imagine a seizure to feel like if it was only in the frontal lobe of the brain (and not in the rest of the body). When awake I would never have these, and they happened very very rarely.
665881 tn?1248930597 just normal body withdrawal similar to what happens with MANY medications (ie) Zoloft, anti-seizure meds etc. Body line, my pain doc decided to taper my Lyrica down to 50 mgs. and within 5 days my body started stinging here, there and everywhere...like tiny bees...It can start anywhere...in the corner of my eye, under my armpit, in my vagina, my thigh, inner toe etc...gets VERY intense for a day or so, weakens for another several days, almost disappears, then restarts again.
Avatar f tn Low cortisol levels have been observed in patients with different stress-related disorders such as Panic/Anxiety Disorders, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Low cortisol leads to enhanced stress sensitivity, pain and fatigue. I also have primary hypothyroidism, which I suspected all along, but it took a full review of my medical charts to see the escalating trend in my TSH levels.
551343 tn?1506834118 This test can be used for diagnostic purposes but is widely been used in research for many disorders so basically I'm being slotted in when they can. Neuro's latest thoughts are leber's hereditary optic neuropathy plus syndrome. This is because of my dad's history and the plus syndrome is like an ms syndrome. Trouble is I know leber's is a mitochondrial disorder so it has be passed down from your mother not your father. My swallowing problems have worsened over the past couple of years.
Avatar m tn Most of us ended up with anxiety due to our heart malfunctions or other various disorders. I am a nurse with a good job and most people have NO idea the battles that go on in my mind daily. I have tons of co-morbidities, as well. I'm still here! Good luck.
Avatar f tn 123que double posted this thread and on the twin thread someone comments on it claiming it to be a "simple partial seizure". I've since read up on SPS's and the symptoms are only vaguely similar and seeing as all three of us have the exact same symptoms I doubt it is a simple partial seizure. The symptoms are much to specific to simply be pushed into some vaguely similar preexisting disorder.
Avatar n tn maybe your dehydrated.... * Metabolic disorders * Low levels of B=6 * Certain types of neuropathy Sometimes its just gas, especially if you are getting sharp pains in the top of your back, i never thought gas would go there but it does, try a Simethecone tablet, see if it goes away. You can get sharp pains in the bowel if your are constipated. Or if you have been in one position for a long time, then get relaxed, it can happen then.
Avatar n tn I think we could be experiencing some type of epileptic seizure, which only manifest itself when the brain is the sleeping mode. The sleep study will clear this one up. Just think how colorful things will be once your sleep study is conducted, and the answers start to pour in. Just a few more days--hang in there, my friend—Good luck—Please keep in touch. Bobito.
Avatar n tn of cardiology and are not interested in the research connecting the digestive system disorders to A/Fib. Ablation didn't work well either. How do we get the Dr's to investigate this?--NeddyPoo.
Avatar n tn Internal carotid artery dissection can be caused by major or minor trauma, or it can be spontaneous in which case genetic, familial, and/or heritable disorders are likely etiologies .
