Look if you're that worried about your baby then seriously just stop going over there. Think about it if you will. You either be alone or go to your grandma's where you will inhale second hand smoke which is way worse than smoking itself. It's terrible that your gma is like that but if she is indeed like that then just stop going over there. She obviously doesn't care to stop so just stay home and try to stay occupied. Your babies health is of the utmost importance.

Second hand smoke does just as much damage to you and your unborn baby as smoking yourself so make sure you're not around him or anyone else smoking anything. Can totally relate. I'm 17 young I know. But even before I got pregnant, I was like this. I hated being around people that smoked and I would hold my breath when I would first smell in like passing someone who was smoking just because of second hand smoke. I wouldn't do it dramatically so they would notice but just for myself. And when I got pregnant it was the same.

Now that a lot more is known about second-hand smoke, I'm really curious if when I got married to a smoker if that didn't bring on my allergies. Within 1.5 years of being married and living with a smoker, I all of sudden developed severe allergies where I was waking up every 30 minutes because my nose was completely closed up. I became allergic to the world, there's no place I can move to alleviate it.
t respect that then I would leave cause if they really cared they would respect you by not smoking in front of you I definitely went thru that with my boyfriend and now the house is smoke free second hand smoke is just as bad as actually smoking and that cuts off alot of your baby's oxygen and you can have a stillbirth just all types of problems can come from smoking! I think its both positive and negative. It teaches the kids the dangers of smoking/second hand smoke and the problems it can cause as well as the result od death. As for the negative, the kids with the smoking patents are now worrying about losing their parent(s) due to the day care. Im an ex smoker myself.
I think it would be beneficial for both you and your husband to quit smoking. Second hand smoke is just as dangerous and you don' t need to be around it once you are pregnant. Aside from that it's not healthy for a child to be around cigarette smoke either.
Talk with your physician about aids to help you quit. But, as KarenDiane said, you have to have a reason that is worth it to you. For me, I quit smoking cold turkey the day after I found out I was pregnant with my second child.
I smoked weed before I knew I was pregnant, so tht was around 3 to 4 weeks. But now that I have stopped, I can't even deal with the smell. I tell my boyfriend to either go outside or in the bathroom so I can't smell it. My dr told me that second hand smoke is dangerous for the baby especially throughout the first trimester. So I just try to keep it away from me as far as possible. As far as sex after he smokes, I don't see anything wrong with that at all!
