i hear you on the second hand smoke, and i used to be a smoker too, i quit the day i found out i was pregnant - and it wasn't hard cuz i had noticed a week before we found out they weren't doing anything for me- and actually making me turn "green" But my husband still smokes... and i can't stand it!!

I was like a BIG NO to second hand for my baby, this is my first baby, me and hubby r first borns to both our parents, first grandchildren,our baby wil be our parents first grand child n great grand child to our granny. When I go to visit my mom... second hand smoke... and I b*tch at her to go away or to not smoke at all when I'm there and I try to go In another room but can still smell It. Now that a lot more is known about second-hand smoke, I'm really curious if when I got married to a smoker if that didn't bring on my allergies. Within 1.5 years of being married and living with a smoker, I all of sudden developed severe allergies where I was waking up every 30 minutes because my nose was completely closed up. I became allergic to the world, there's no place I can move to alleviate it.

Second hand smoke is very dangerous!! Also third hand smoke, which is being in a home that has smokers but they never smoke around you. It is on the coverings of the house and it seeps in the walls etc... My kids never were sick except for when their grandmatoher came to see them and hold them they always got ear infections! I had her change clothes when she got there and wash her face if she was to kiis them and her hands and arms and they never got an ear infection again!

My partner still smokes and I get his second hand smoke I tell him not to but he says its hard lol I'm early on in pregnancy like 14 weeks and find it kinda disrespectful at times so I can totally understand where you are coming from hun

I would not. Hookah still has nicotine. I am also a firm believer that people should not smoke cigarettes while pregnant as well. I know back in the day people would drink & smoke when pregnant buuuut I'm all about preventing exposure to those things to my baby while in the womb. My husband smokes cigarettes like a chimney and I told him he won't even be allowed to carry our baby after smoking.
