Yeast infection has a tendency to recur, even if treated previously. On the other hand,
seborrheic dermatitis is a disease that causes flaking of the skin and usually affects the scalp or the skin on other parts of the body, such as the face and chest, and the creases of the arms, legs and groin. The exact cause is not known, but it may be caused by a fungus which may be confirmed with skin scrapings from the site and evaluating it under the microscope.
