I am currently on seroquel and have been for about six years i take it to sleep but am now getting off of it. Also i have been a drug abuser and used to smoke weed everyday but now when i smoke all i get is anxious and become even more withdrawn and quiet. It seems clear that the meclizine taper is the way to go to get off of the transdermal scopolamine patch and I will attempt it. In this scenario, from what I've read, Zofran does not appear to be an essential part of the taper. I have also read elsewhere on the web (not only here) that lamictal together with magnesium sulfate is sometimes used to combat the withdrawal symptoms. Hi Gina, It is definitely from the scopolamine. I have been on 16 cruises and everytime I have stopped the scopolamine I have the same symptoms of extreme fatigue. I was put on a scopolamine patch in Sept.'10 and have been wearing it fr the last 8 months. It is pute HELL everytime I try to get off of it. The Dr.s have diagnosed me with Meniere's Disease but I can't get off the patch for them to do definitive testing. My Dr. has put me on an oral for of scopolamine but if I am even an hour or two late taking my dose I am deathly ill. And each tinme I get sick it is worse than the time beforel.

I hear u i cant stand ativan it does make u feel like a zombie!! My b/f absolutly loves it though. I think u should maby talk to ur doc about a drug that can be used for more of a long term. s a very difficult case to treat. It is unusual as it is marked by very few remissions and has become drug resistant. On a typical day I will wake up with severe nausea, and it sometimes lessens after 3-4 hours. I can feel perfectly fine and am able to eat and drink. However, that period of time is always short lived and may only be 30 to 40 minutes. I may or may not get a period of "well time" in the evening but lately this has not been the case.

Zofran 8 mg that dissolve and scopolamine patches the only thing that saved me.
