scopolamine how does it work

Does anyone know if Bonnine is the same as MeclIzine. My husband bought 25 mg Bonnine, he asked the drugest for Meclizine and that is what he gave him. I am going on 22 hours off the patch and don't know when I should take it. Also I kept the patch on for 5 days before I took it off. I am praying that might have weaned me off a little before going off completely.

In the mean time I saw a ENT he said I needed to get off the patch so my body would normalize on its own, and believed I had some motion sickness yet brought on by the cruise and did not know how long it would last. I then removed the patch a 3rd. time and again became very sick, nausea and vomiting the first 24 hours. The second day I am still light headed and nauseated but and taking phenergan to help with the nausea.

Thank God for these posts! I thought I was going crazy! I went on a 5 day cruise- Dec.19-24. I put the patch on the first night and another one 2 1/2 days later. On Thursday morning (24th) I took off the patch and WOW- that night the symptoms really hit me. All the same as everyone else- nausea, lightheaded, EXTREME fatigue, and generally out of it mentally. Why didn't the doctor tell me ANY of this could happen? This is hell.

Of course the nurse was not at all concerned about weaning off Scopolamine since the patient was only on it for a couple months. I was concerned, so she agreed that we can do it with the cream if we felt safer.

I've been diagnosed with labyrinthitis and have been wearing a scopolamine patch for the past 4 weeks. I've heard to cover 1/4, then 1/2, and then 3/4 of the patch to wean off avoid withdrawal. I'm 48 hours into covering 1/4 of the patch and i have a horrible headache, dizzy, and nauseated. Any help, tips, welcome. I just want to be able to go to work and take care of my kids like a normal person again.

Never worked for me but, it does for some so definitely worth a try.

I am starting the slimfast program tomorrow. My question is does it really work? I am also in a wheel chair..But i do get my legs walking 1 or 2 hours a day .

Keep us posted to see how you're doing! If it works I'll try it when I'm close to my due date or over due..does it taste gross? Or does it just end up giving you a ton of gas??

I was wondering if you all have any tips for avoiding sickness post-surgery. Did the scopolamine patch work for you? Zofran? I would love any advice to ease my mind! Thanks so much!!

I did it and it was right about me having a girl amd my hair dresser did it and it was right for her having a boy...

He was convinced I had a bad reaction to the scopolamine patch. He said it would take days to weeks for it to go away. He said the scopolamine affected the focusing mechanism in my eye. My blood vessels and eye nerves looked perfect, he said. He could tell my focus distance was off. My OB/GYN sent me to a neurologist. He couldn't determine what was wrong from the office exam, but ordered a MRI and bloodwork, including thyroid tests.

I was put on a scopolamine patch in Sept.'10 and have been wearing it fr the last 8 months. It is pute HELL everytime I try to get off of it. The Dr.s have diagnosed me with Meniere's Disease but I can't get off the patch for them to do definitive testing. My Dr. has put me on an oral for of scopolamine but if I am even an hour or two late taking my dose I am deathly ill. And each tinme I get sick it is worse than the time beforel.

Has anyone with scopolamine patch withdrawal just tried to go cold turkey and tough it out? IF so, how long did it take you to feel better?

Do not take another one. If you threw it up, then you threw it up. It safer to just take a day off from prenatals rather than taking another one and possibly having to go to the hospital for to many minerals and vitamins .

Would acupuncture work for anxiety and dizziness? Does it hurt or what does a person feel? Im a nervous reck.. Cause Im scared to. Be on meds..

According to the Lyrica website you could feel relief as soon as one week, but for some people it may take longer. It also depends on how high your dosage is right now. Like every treatment, everyone is different. Lyrica was not for me. I would be grateful if someone on the forum would add to this post with their Lyrica experiences. Tuffycup, please tell us what dosage you are currently at and how long you've been on it so we can best advise you.

have wanted to for a long time. Does Chantix work, how well, how long did ya smoke, how many packs. How long does it take to work. I could use and would really appreciate any info on the matter. I've gone cold turkey befor but this 49 year old Bird aint as tough as she used to be. I did defer the Subloxone for hydro w/d tho after research. Any success stories would be most graciusly received.

Before my baby shower I went to have a pedicure and my mom said to be careful since there are pressure point that can initiate labor! I didn't go into labor but I'm sure there's something holistically that can trigger it!
