scopolamine dexedrine

i have been prescribed adderall before, but the only downfall for me is the comedown. I get all jittery and generally just feel bad.. my friend who is prescribed recommended me dexedrine, he says because it is pure dextroamphetamine and that there are no salts that the comedown isn't as harsh, is this true? i really wanna try this stuff out for my adhd, so how would i go about telling my doctor i would like to try it so i dont end up sounding like i just want drugs?

What is the best way to wean off the scopolamine patch in an elderly person? Can we use the cream instead and slowly increase the time between use?

I recently went on a a 7 day cruise and wore the scopolamine patch from the first day and changed at 3 days. A total of 2 patches. I removed the patch the day I got home within 24 hours of removal I became very ill vomiting and nauseated. This continured throughout the next day. I called the Dr. and she told me to take dramamine. I remembered I had one patch left so I applied the patch again. Within 3 hours I was feeling better and that next day began to feel better.

I've noticed a lot of exacerbated ADHD symptoms by taking SSRI medications. SSRI medicines are hard to manage when I have severe hyperactivity and inattentiveness with ADHD, yet the SSRI seems to help in other areas that I mentioned. I have spoken to my psychiatrist about this a couple times, and he told me to try and time the doses between Dexedrine and Lexapro so I don't have too much Lexapro before trying to study, and try not to have too much Dexedrine close to bed.

I am a 40 year-old female very newly diagnosed with ADHD. My doc started me on dexedrine 5mg twice a day to start off for now. Is aybody familiar with this medication? It seems like everyone is on newer name brand meds.

I am currently using a transdermal scopolamine patch for vertigo. I suffer from profound episodes of vertigo, so the doctor has prescribed me a 1.5 mg transderm patch. I only use it when the vertigo is extremely severe. My problem is this: When I apply the patch, (behind the ear, either right or left) I immmediately experience extreme anisocoria in whichever eye is nearer the patch.

I've been diagnosed with labyrinthitis and have been wearing a scopolamine patch for the past 4 weeks. I've heard to cover 1/4, then 1/2, and then 3/4 of the patch to wean off avoid withdrawal. I told the nurse and she removed the scopolamine patch behind my left ear. I had never been given that before and have no idea why they decided to use it. Effexor (low dosage), Lithium (low--600 mg), Wellbutrin (300 mg), Risperdal (low), Clonazepam (low), Dexedrine 10 mg when needed. Do you think any meds on this list can cause high blood pressure?

Has anyone with scopolamine patch withdrawal just tried to go cold turkey and tough it out? IF so, how long did it take you to feel better?

I have been prescribed and used adderall before (10mg and 15mg) and with these have experienced diminishment in sexual libido as well as difficulties in obtaining an erection. While I ran out of my regular capsules, a friend of mine offered to share a DEXEDRINE 10mg.

I was put on a scopolamine patch in Sept.'10 and have been wearing it fr the last 8 months. It is pute HELL everytime I try to get off of it. The Dr.s have diagnosed me with Meniere's Disease but I can't get off the patch for them to do definitive testing. My Dr. has put me on an oral for of scopolamine but if I am even an hour or two late taking my dose I am deathly ill. And each tinme I get sick it is worse than the time beforel.

Hi Gina, It is definitely from the scopolamine. I have been on 16 cruises and everytime I have stopped the scopolamine I have the same symptoms of extreme fatigue. The first 24 hours after I stopped the medication there was no problem, but when I awoke the next day I was really out of it. I do not suffere from the nausea or headache that you have encountered. It usually subsides after about 6 weeks.

It seems clear that the meclizine taper is the way to go to get off of the transdermal scopolamine patch and I will attempt it. In this scenario, from what I've read, Zofran does not appear to be an essential part of the taper. I have also read elsewhere on the web (not only here) that lamictal together with magnesium sulfate is sometimes used to combat the withdrawal symptoms. I saw one person mentioned lamictal but rejected it as a possible solution. Here is my question.

Sorry charlotte885 but, despite you effort to correct your spelling, what you meant was Dexedrine, no offense ;). You might be confusing Dexedrine with Dexatrim and Dexatrim is a dietary supplement to decrease appetite with no stimulating effects like the stimulants we're talking about. You are right about the drugs being in the same family, they are all psychostimulants mainly composed of amphetamine and/or dextroamphetamine, levoamphetamine,and other stuff like that...

I was wondering if you all have any tips for avoiding sickness post-surgery. Did the scopolamine patch work for you? Zofran? I would love any advice to ease my mind! Thanks so much!!

Over the last 6 weeks I’ve been having some digestion problems… lose bowels movements… lots of gas ect…. (I am also prescribed 20 mg of Dexedrine). The tightness seems to get worse after taking the Dexedrine as well and the Dexdrine has also causes me some digestive problems. Over the last couple months I’ve taken a couple breaks from smoking (one week off here or there). I start to feel better after a couple days and then I go back to smoking..

I'm a 19 year old male, 163 pounds 6' 0''. I take dexedrine 5mg 2x daily(for adhd) and metoprolol half a 25mg pill at night usually(to lower anxiety and hart rate).

m also on xanax (about 1 a day) and am a recovering alcoholic (that has been essentially a dry drunk for the past few years). I have been taking dexedrine for the past 4 years for chronic fatigue, was taking 30 mg day, but only 5-10 mg/day for the past 2 years. Just looking for support, as I am going to try and cut the hydro's out, then the dexedrine. Body hurts. But I know there are others out there.

Has anyone ever heard of, or been on, the combination of 40mg Prozac, 30mg Dexedrine, and 4-6mg Ativan daily? I was on this for 7 years, along with narcotics for terrible migraines. Been drug free for 3 years with no depression, but man...was it awful getting off all that stuff! I was able to get the 120 mg of Adderall xr , and I was feeling better. I wanted to give Dexedrine a chance so as to take a break from Adderall, I was given Dexedrine spansules 90 mg. It is smoother compared to the Adderall, but it doesn't last long as the 120 of Adderall. Dexedrine did bring hope to me as in being another choice other than Adderall, but the 90 mg is not doing it. I was thinking about increasing that dose, and my doctor said that there was a possibility of it.
