We started azithromycin (3 days) thinking it developed resistance to penicillin. One dose of azithromycin made a HUGE difference. The doctore gave antibiotics for an infection to the tonsils and he thought the adenoids were also infected. This has been the third lot of antibiotics in the past three months for tonsil infections. Basically the doctor askd how attached he was to his tonsils because he was going to refer him to ENT at the hospital.
