Ive always had a tender scalp on and off but about 2 years ago I started noticing my hair was thinning where my scalp was sore primarily. Its been thinning at the top and around the temples. The thinning progressed rather quickly ive had to xut my hair shorter to make it blend. Prior to the thinning my hair would shed these grey flakes like dandruff especially if I was sweating or just finished playing sports.
since about the last month of June I have been suffering from a clogged feeling in my left ear, pain that shoots from my left temple to the back of my head, sore scalp, pressure around my left eyeball, and allergy like symptoms. The pain has eased alot, but its very annoying, and is now starting to switch to the right side. Massaging my scalp and temples seems to help some, but I want to know what's wrong and how I can get rid of it.
s on my face come and go. The 3rd week I got caught in the rain and woke up with a sore throat for a day or two then came the sinus drainage and chest congestion. Everything is ok now except for a little chest congestion. Now I have had little sore spots in my mouth that go and come. AM I DYING or what? Do I need another HIV test?

I felt immense pressure behind my ears. After prednisone and ibrufin I got better. There was a lot of post nasal drainage and the burning sensation and ear pressure went away. The ENT thought it was a Eustachian tube dysfunction. This September I got the same symptoms back. Except no ear pressure this time. My face and lips experienced some burning sensation and I felt weak and heavy in my calf muscles. My doctor put me on antihistamine and the facial burning sensation reduced.
Improper lymphatic drainage in the scalp area thereby not removing waste products from scalp tissue may also be the cause . These waste products might cause some inflammation in the scalp tissue and around the follicles. The inflammation in turn could trigger the pain. Please consult a neurologist to find out if the nerve endings in the scalp area are irritated . You can consult a dermatologist also . Hope this helps you .Take care and regards !
I took one benedryl last night and then today I woke up with a sore throat. I am pretty sure it is from drainage because one of my ears hurts too! Anyone know anything I can take over the counter for it? Any help would be great! Don't want to get on antibotics again because just got off some a couple of weeks ago and then got a yeast infection!! I have been sick off and on with this pregnancy and really don't know why!
About 3w later I got a fever of about 102 (with chills), a sore throat and minor neck stiffness. I also got nasal drainage and a stuffy nose. The sore throat seems related to the nasal drainage. The sore throat wasn't severe.
The fever was gone in about 18 hours, but the minor neck stiffness, sore throat, nasal drainage, and stuffy nose lasted a few days.
I would typically think nothing of the encounter if not for the symptoms.

The other possibility is of pilar cysts scalp. The scalp should be washed with a mild normal shampoo as often as desired. Antidandruff shampoos containing antifungal agents such as ketoconazole or ciclopirox are sometimes helpful. Apart from that you need topical and oral antibiotics, antihistamines, oral steroids and topical tretinoin.
My sincere advice is to get it examined from a dermatologist.
I've had 3 lumps on my scalp 1.the size of a bean, 2. the size if a pea, and 3.the size of BB. NOT PAINFULL. No drainage ever. And they never really grew until about a 1year is so ago. Well I had my bf take a closer look and discovered that the luoe are full of hair. And he said that all around the lumps are like squiggly lines or track like looking lines that also he can see hair growing underneath the scalp. And it's black hair when the rest of my hair is much lighter.
has your 'rash' spread, or is it localized? did it start out as one 'red area' and then spread? are you allergic to anything, have you changed laundry soaps, bathing soaps, is the rash painful, or just 'itchy'? do the areas 'leak' and if so, what is the 'color' of the drainage? if there is 'drainage' does it have an odor? if so ,what is it...

Hi, I've had this pea-sized lump on my scalp for years ever since I was a child. It's about the size of a pea and it feels fleshy and scratching it may cause it to bleed. I have no idea what it is/if it's harmful and how to get rid of it. Any insight is appreciated!
For at least a year and a half, maybe longer, I have had a pea-sized lump on my scalp on the back (right side) of my head, near the top. It doesn't hurt or itch, and it is the same color as my scalp. It does not poke through the hair; in fact, you can only feel it if you move all the hair around it and rub your finger over it. But right where it is, I have a bald spot. I had always thought it was some kind of scar, but I'm a little worried. What could it be?
I have suffered for almost 5 yers with pimples on scalp, The scalp gets very sore in a circular pattern , bumps come up or pimples with blood, pus and serum. My dermatoligist said it was a folliculitis and put me on minicin which helped 100% but then I became allergic to it. She tried Doxycyclene and it did nothing. Multiple antibiotics were tried. Some cleared it up for about 3-4 weeks and then it comes back. Some did not help at all. I have been on Bactrim DS 800-160 tab for a year.
I am 52 yes young & I have always had normal skin not dry or oily but about 3 weeks ago my forehead & hair was getting oily. After about a week I broke out in a rash on 1/2 of my forehead it's red with white bumps no drainage or heads on the bumps. Hi, herpes sores in your urethra could cause a infection with would result in a white discharge. Most herpes sore have clear fluid but if you had so many sores that was draining all the sores clear fluid you would be in so much pain, that you would be asking this question from the hospital not leisurely typing at home or office.
