Avatar m tn Hello, im looking for some input from some one knowledgeable in asbestos or RCF exposure! In a current work project, I believe I've been exposed to large quantities of refractory fibers dust (Rescocast 9), for short durations. I'm considering it large quantities as the dust was visible (no sampling data available); however the dust was present in well ventilated area.

Avatar n tn Another approach might be to avoid these two combination drugs, Advair and Symbicort, and substitute individual inhalert for each of the two drugs (the inhaled steroid and the beta-agonist). You could then reduce the dose of the beta agonist but, unfortunately that could not be done with a metered dose inhaler; would require the use of a nebulizer. You should also discuss this with your doctor. I mentioned individual sensitivity to the beta-agonist class of drugs.
Avatar n tn My son accidentally poured some water into his Advair discus. Since this medication is so expensive, and he has 43 doses left, I don't want to throw it out. I spoke to 2 pharmacists who couldn't help me, so I treated it like a wet cellphone, putting it in rice after wrapping it in a paper towel (to keep out rice dust). I left the mouth hole open since that's where the water was poured in. Has anyone had this experience and found something that worked?
Avatar m tn Some background info: I have a throat infection for which I was prescribed penicillin VK. I started taking it on Saturday and today I noticed 2 hives, 1 on my hand just next to my one of my knuckles, the other on bicep. I also felt a moment of dizyness for a split second today at work when leading down to pick something up. Is this something I should be worried about?
Avatar f tn This is to determine my actual due date and seeing my baby and hearing his or her heart beat for the first time. I was called by the receptionist from my doctor's office to confirm my appointment. She mentioned the ultrasound as well my doctor seeing me afterwards. I can't remember whether if my doctor saw me after my first ultrasounds from my first-time two pregnancies. Is it normal for doctors to see patients after the first ultrasound?
Avatar n tn If you also have asthma that is hard to control, you may want to discus Xolair with your doctor. That is for allergic asthma. Your IgE level definitely would qualify you for that treatment option. Please let us know how you are doing. God bless.

1932244 tn?1323292210 Pregnancy loss due to cervical incompetence is a risk for the next pregnancy. For this reason, you should be sure to consult with a high-risk pregnancy specialist or other experienced OB/GYN early in your next pregnancy and ideally before conception. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
