5536886 tn?1455827346 Three of my "bosses" in administration know that I have bipolar. None of my close colleagues know. Those who know have been supportive. The others,,, I'm still not sure that I can trust them with the knowledge, and I work in the behavioral health field!
Avatar f tn Its not special treatment, its the managers legal obligation to make aure that you and your baby are safe in the workplace. They cant tell you not to go to the bathroom or tjat your not working hard enough coz you dont lift heavy boxes,, that all comes under discrimination. Im 26weeks this tuesday and its hard enough coping with working and being pregs without your boss being hard on you.
10452875 tn?1436484351 When my lower back pain gets too bad or my feet and legs begin to swell I am allowed to sit on a stool at the register. Today, my back and feet have been really bad from the previous day of work and we had a couple cashiers in training who aren't allowed to be left alone. Well my manager comes up to me and tells me I need to get up and stock product after speaking with a lead who had informed him of the situation but he said it looks "bad".

1542957 tn?1305078438 So, I went to Human Resource with my doctors note to move me to a quiet place to do my work and the lady was immediatly like we can't really help you with that...it's loud everywhere...I then brought up the other problem, a person who sits across from me who is very unethical and is loud rude and does things on purpose to try to get anyone to say anything to her, she is just daring us to say something.
Avatar n tn I work at an australian hospital as a wardsperson/cleaner. I was mopping the floors of the ward and to be honest can't remember If I mopped any blood up or not. There was none obvious anyway. As I was ringing the mop out some water splashed up and I think I may have gotten a very small amount of the water in my eye. assuming someone on the ward was HIV positive, am I at any risks?
Avatar f tn I know how guilty you feel about allowing this and that is a trigger for you. You also do not want to lose your job and you must worry about your flat and your child. So whenevr you see this allow yourself to let go of the times you hesitated in doing anything. You were smart in asking for help. I also want you then to let go of the times you almost gave in or entertaoned doing it and had to tell convince yourself that you may not be an unreliable provider for your child.
Avatar f tn The damage can be permanent or temporary. It would be best to talk with your company or safety committee head about the presence of occupational hazards (such as chemicals) in your workplace to eliminate this cause.

Avatar f tn When is a good time to tell your boss you're pregnant? I've only been at my job for 5 weeks and recently found out I'm 6 weeks pregnant. How long should I wait before I tell her?
Avatar f tn I just found out that I lost my work today because I cannot stay well in a workplace that has clorox, paint, polyurethane, bacteria, with NO return air. I am in a very specialized field--I teach newly arrived refugees from Burma, Africa, etc. tospeak English. It may be too late, but is there any kind of mask I could get and still teach--I guess, however, that it would have to cover nose, mouth and eyes--maybe I coul wear it half the time. I need/love the work.
Avatar f tn s to the EEOC regarding your rights in the workplace as a pregnant woman and also your rights after the baby is born as well. I was fired 3 hours after I told Walmart. They told me it was inexcusable attendance. My problems with attendance had excuses, it was for workmans composition. They still fired me so now I try to help out anyone I find who's having problems in the workplace that's even related to pregnancy. http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/types/pregnancy.
1932244 tn?1323292210 I'm a little confused by your question but doctors usually recommend at least a 3 -6 month interval before getting pregnant after a miscarriage.
Avatar f tn Keep in mind that a workplace is required to give you mat leave after 20 weeks. And they can in fact fire you if they find out before your probation. That's why there's a probationary period, so they can fire you on the spot without notice. I'd wait and see if you even get hired, and then pop in to HR and see what they think. HR is usually super nice. And you still have 6 months, not 5 (; babymaking takes 10 months, not 9 as they go by your last period.
Avatar f tn I would recommend you waiting till your in your second trimester to start exercising cause the baby's so small and fragile any wrong move could cause your body to try to expel the baby but it is safe as long as your body is excepting it & your comfortable don't push yourself to hard or lift to heavy I'm 25 weeks & still work out like a champ every other day
Avatar n tn Also, there may be a lack of fresh air at your workplace, due to the airconditioning. You may try going out of your office room, for a short period when this nausea usually starts. You may have some relief. Though you may like your job, there may be some problem at the subconscious level. Under those circumstances, there is nothing wrong in consulting a Psychiatrist or psychologist and taking some advice.
4274823 tn?1388529098 Both the Workplace Safety Insurance Board and my physiotherapist have been surprised by the fact that I have had the tendinitis for 10 months now with 9 months of Physio coverage. I am about to be referred to a specialist about the tendinitis through the WSIB.
Avatar f tn If you leave the workplace for a while and come back are your symptoms better? Do you spend most time in one location, or do you move around? Can you try to pinpoint which location(s) are worst? Best of luck with it.
Avatar f tn Doggie is always safe, I'm not sure about the jumping jack though.
Avatar n tn Yes its okay . Its recommended during second trimest or late first trimester to sleep on your left sode because of more blood flow to baby . You can sleep on right side as well . You can try doing it now though to get used to it . Later on in pregnancy if you wake up on your back just roll over baby is ok . He or she will most likely make you uncomfortable before anything bad happens your body will signal a response to you most likely .
