Avatar m tn I know it does NOT have FDA approval which means it has not proven efficacy enough to get an indication for use in erectile dysfunction or anything else. However, they do have some studies that say it works. Healthline states "Shockwave therapy appears to work best for men with vasculogenic ED, which is a blood vessel disorder that affects blood flow to tissue in the penis. The therapy’s effectiveness with other causes of ED remains to be seen.

I feel like my DR. should be more concearned with the progression of the pregnacy, I never even had a 12 week scan?
Avatar f tn Went to a clinic for pain Dr ordered two injections when the nurse came in the syringes where already open and filled on a metal tray. I was in so much pain and really didn't pay much attention but he had on gloves and cleaned the area he injected didn't look to see what was inside the syringes. Was he supposed to open the syringes in front of me? What if they where used or he injected me with infected blood?

Avatar n tn My 3 1/2 year old needs 4 teeth pulled and 2 crowned. She has an upcoming appointment at the children's hospital dental clinic so I am just trying to get somewhat of an idea of how it will go. My question is can they use nitrous oxide for such a procedure? How safe is it? What are the other forms of anesthesia commonly used on toddlers at the dentist?
1932244 tn?1323292210 I'm a little confused by your question but doctors usually recommend at least a 3 -6 month interval before getting pregnant after a miscarriage.
Avatar f tn Doggie is always safe, I'm not sure about the jumping jack though.
648910 tn?1290663083 I have had times that I couldn't stand long enough in the shower to take one, fo for the shower, I have a plastic chair without metal do-dads that would rust that I keep nearby. If you ever find that you're having mobility issues, be very careful if you use an office chair to get around. I fell out of one when I was using the rolling office chair when I reached over to get something off of the floor. Luckily, I didn't crack my head open!
1932244 tn?1323292210 It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar f tn Most of the time when you miscarry its not cuz of anything you do, the primary cause is genetic malformations that aren't conducive to life. Heavy lifting won't cause a miscarriage but as you get bigger it can cause back problems. Other things that can cause a miscarriage are accidents/ trauma or severe acute infection... You do need to watch what you eat though.
480448 tn?1426948538 Like SM, I couldn't begin to read the posted letter, because I'm old and my eyes don't work the way they used to, in spite of bifocals........ lol I retired from the School District in my county, a little over a year ago. Our district has 70+ facilities throughout the county and because I worked in the environmental department, I was from campus to campus, every day. All of the schools had "armed guards" in the form of resource officers.
148588 tn?1465778809 New technology prevents accidents, but rail industry is dragging its feet http://www.sfchronicle.com/nation/article/System-can-prevent-train-accidents-rail-industry-5650550.php#/0 "Faced with a huge increase in hazardous oil-carrying trains, California is urging quicker implementation of technology that would prevent train accidents caused by human error. But after pushing back against the idea for nearly half a century, the rail industry is far from ready to adopt the safety measure.
Avatar n tn I don't see why nails would be an issue. I guess it's a case of reading the details on the hair dye box / talking to your hairdresser - just to make sure no nasty chemicals.
559187 tn?1330782856 We had a fire at work today. When the alarms went off at 6:45 this morning, me and my coworkers looked at each other and suspected that it must have been a false alarm until we were notified on the speaker system that it was not a drill or false alarm. I got my sneakers on as quickly as I could, grabbed my purse and headed to the elevator. Before I got to the end of the hall, 4 people stopped me and told me elevators aren't supposed to be used during a fire.
163305 tn?1333668571 Thanks, I'm trying to deal with them ( saftey net) and may get it that way. The problem is they generally work with the provider not the patient. My hepatologist doesn't distribute meds at thier office, actually a clinic at CPMC. (I don't have any other doctor.) I'm going to talk to Walgreens which is connected with the hospital and go from there. Somehow I'm still sure that I will persever and it will all work out.
Avatar f tn I do know there are far more natural ways to get serotonin and that is something you can discuss with your docs. You may want to check out the MS Forum and see if the folks there might have some suggestions.
