I am almost 28 weeks and I cracked my tooth months ago by eating a chip, lately its getting to the point where I'm in sooo much pain its shooting pain from my tooth into my temple. it was on the news that Tylenol causes ADHD when taken while pregnant.

My midwife gave me a list of meds that does include Tylenol, Tylenol Sinus and Tylenol PM, but what I'd like to take is Tylenol Cold/Congestion. (Well, I'd rather not take anything but this miserable head cold is keeping me up all night... if I lie down, my sinuses immediately plug up...) I'm doing all the natural remedies and they are working ok. Vicks Vaporub is amazing!

Avatar n tn Synthroid is a "Pregnancy Category A." Which is safer than Tylenol (which is a "B"). But you should always confirm all medications with your doctor. Are you on Synthroid for thyroid issues or weight loss? He'd probably keep you on for thyroid problems, but with pregnancy, weight loss isn't safe.

1199169 tn?1268267134 there are many medications to take to help treat svt, some are more safe in pregnancy than others. share your concerns with your cardiologist and your ob. make sure whatever the cardiologist suggests is ok with the ob. it is a lot to deal with, but hopefully it will get better as the pregnancy goes on and you will be able to do the ablation following delivery. good luck to you!

Avatar f tn Check on a medical site first. It is either Papaya or passion fruit that isn't safe in pregnancy. But I can't remember which. There is an enzyme in one of them that can be harmful to your baby. Just check first.

There is no specific prohibition on using this medication over the age of sixty, except they have apparently not conducted tests on the elderly. If you are taking the capsule, there may be a problem if you have degraded liver function. The answer is to consult your primary care physician for advice.

Avatar f tn Next, I am on medications and I am pregnant. I was on xanax and klonopin before my pregnancy, but since both are Class D I got off of them. I am now on 30mg of Buspar which is a Class B medication and it has helped tremendously. Also, most anti depressants are OK during the first trimesters of pregnancy and even in the third, but there is a risk of withdrawal symptoms to the baby in the third trimester. I am on cymbalta which also helps for anxiety, but I use it for pain.

The placenta forms around week 10-12. Progesterone is the only medication I have heard of that is helpful in possibly preventing miscarriage. That's why I asked what this particular med was. Perhaps it is another name for progesterone? I'll go do some research.
