The alarm sounded and my heart jumped into my throat. It was a house fire for the engine company. I jumped into my boots, pulled up my bunking pants, secured my suspenders, swung my coat over my shoulders, and pushed my helmet down tight over my head. The engine was pulling out. It was a Mack convertible. I jumped on the back running board and grabbed the rails. As we swung onto the street, I lost my grip on the rails. I felt myself fly up in the air as we hit a bump.

I pause for a few seconds or minutes, trying to remember how to start the darned thing. I flooded the engine, but did get the thing going without too much drama. Mind you, I have enough trees in my yard to qualify as a national forest. Nevertheless, I put on my bravest leaf warrior face today as I backed my trusty rider mower out of the garage. Trusty? I now wonder. Part way through my leaf destroying mission, I seemed to notice smoke coming out from the hood of my steed.

My face has been feeling like it is on fire lately. I can be sitting watching T.V. and feel the heat coming from my face. I look in the mirror and my face is blood red. Have you tried putting lots of lotion on your face? Most people get very dry skin while on tx, and since the skin on the face is more fragile than the rest of your body, it may react more drastically to the lack of body oil.

My leg went one way and my knee went the other way. It hurts to bear weight on it, icing burns it, anything warm turns it fire engine red, it wakes me up at night, the bones move/ shift all over the place. It hurts to straighten it out. She says she knows when its going to happen because her face starts getting really hot and she feels on fire, then she's sweats. Its very upsetting for her as people in school have teased her.
