Avatar f tn The brownish staining from the bruising I got following multiple surgeries on my right eye was completely removed by a single treatment with a Q-switched laser. This is the same laser used to remove tattoos. I had previously been told that the problem was untreatable, since no cream could penetrate that deeply. But I recently found an article on the Candelalaser website describing the use of a Q-switched laser to treat blood staining on the legs and calves. I was referred to Dr.
Avatar m tn I was walking down a small street one day where there was a bar across the street with a spinning blue laser on its front awning. It directs a blue light down the sidewalk, across the street, to the other sidewalk, up the opposite building and repeats. I'm not really sure if it was a laser but the blue streak on the floor as it went past was too focused and clean to not be a laser.Or could it be something else?
Avatar n tn If so, there are a number of treatments available. One very popular remedy has been laser skin resurfacing which helps to minimize the appearance of wrinkles, scars, lines and hyper pigmentation surrounding the eyes and mouth. It can also be used to treat areas on the cheeks. Laser resurfacing does not cause as much discomfort, bruising, scaring or bleeding compared to other cosmetic surgery procedures.
701899 tn?1228452449 The treatments vary from melanin blocking agents combined with topical medications such as Retin A which causes the body to exfoliate the skin to rid the body of the hyperpigmentation while prohibiting new melanin production to laser treatments. The treatments wholly depend upon your needs and skin type. For standard non-hormone induced hyperpigmentations Hydroquinone usually reduces or removes hyperpigmentations very effectively. It is a bleaching agent.

Avatar n tn The treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation includes various skin creams like hydroquinone, azelaic acid, corticosteroids, tretinoin cream and laser treatment.Apply hydroquinone cream on this scar and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period. Hope it helps.
Avatar n tn I have lattice degeneration also but have not had treatment. Laser is not without risk but the risks are low and laser does not guarantee you would not later get a retinal tear or detachment. If getting a second opinion would make you feel better do so. If not and you have confidence in your physicians than you might consider proceeding.

Avatar n tn I have used TCA, glycolic peels, hydroquinone, tretioin, kojic, bit nothing has reduced it. Recently i heard that yag laser can be used for depigmenting skin by destroying melanin cells itself, and in a way cause hypopigmentation in these regions. Can I do this. Please advice the type of laser, etc.
Avatar m tn I think laser skin resurfacing may be in order, though I suppose I'll have to get the nerves to go get it checked out soon. How long does that surgery get in the way of a sex life? I was always under the impression that plastic surgery was only for show, but actually didn't work naturally? Would the penis skin still be able to expand/work properly? I google searched this, as it's not something I'd ever heard of, and found nothing regarding penises, only faces.
