Avatar m tn s now becoming more painfull, i go to classes at the gym, and if i do jumping or balance on my feet for to long the burning pain kicks in, an is now mowing towards the arch of the foot, this happens in both feet but more pain in the right. I have had previous Blood clots in my calf before to, my calfs ont hurt as much during activity, it's just the ankles.
Avatar n tn I am having a pain on the bottom outside edge of my foot. It feels like a bruise but has been there for a while. I am a runner and assume this is a training injury. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn I recently went running and afterwards I had a pretty sharp pain on the left side of my left foot, from the middle of my foot to the heel, although the pain is centered around the arch area. I hadn't gone running in a while and just attributed it to a typical out of shape aches and pains (my legs were also sore) that are normal and go away within a few days. It still hurt for a few days afterward but seemed to be getting better.
Avatar m tn I have a strange intermittent and recurring pain in the front right part of my foot ie directly under the toe. When the pain starts I can feel a muscle propping up in the same area.Pain becomes excruciating if I try to run(only when I use the front part of the foot and don't land on my heels).I have to appear for a physical exam for admittance in the army in January. Please help!!!
1470596 tn?1286713970 This can cause knee problems which is why I needed to buy shoes with arch support which stops the foot rolling inwards. For walking you can buy orthotic insoles but I would not recommend running with these. I use Adistar Salvations to run. A good running shop will check you for pronation before you buy. Also this might seem obvious but are you stretching before and after running. Warm ups and downs are as important as the run.
Avatar f tn The pain radiates from the top of the arch of my foot to the heel. The pain was minimal at the beginning of the day, then got worse as the day went on. I taped my foot after a few days of this and am using a walker and crutches I already had to keep weight off of it as much as possible. I am a few weeks away from having insurance, and have to wait until then to get it checked out.
Avatar f tn From what I understand if you have a high arch then your arch supports should be providing more cushion. Are your arch supports very rigid or are they a bit more on the cushioned side? I read that you got new shoes as well. What kind were they? Generally, for your foot type you might need a shoe that has less EVA material at the midsole, athletic only. The EVA is the support in the shoe.
Avatar f tn my right foot between top of heel and bottom of arch has been hurting so badly for about 3 months. any ideas? read in a reflexology book could be bladder issues? also heard could be plantar fasciitis?
Avatar n tn g., running, but not walking). I still have some localized spots of pain elsewhere in my foot, but these have hardly been debilitating. Additionally, I have begun to feel a tenderness in my achilles occassionally (not usually when walking.. but again if I try to run, iI will feel it there). I am wondering if there is cause for alarm given my symptoms, which seems minor. However, I want to avoid a chronic condition and return my foot to full health (I need it for my work).
Avatar n tn I have the sensation of pressing down on the inside of my foot/ankle as I walk. She now has me using a lateral post, but I still have the tendon pain, and it will not go away while i wear the orthotics. Are they worng for me? Is the arch too high? Thanks in advance.
892668 tn?1241564990 Hi, I've been diagnosed with Plantar Faciitis since 2002. I've had steroid injections of all kinds. It's gone from heels to under foot to top of foot, to everywhere possible on foot (feet). I am at a point where I don't know what else to do. I've had different insoles made for my shoes, told not to go without them, thus never wearing sandles again, and I'm still suffering.
Avatar m tn A few days ago I was away from home and walking in these sandles, I had just done some calf stretches on a step and when I began to walk I felt a sharp stinging pain, almost like a tearing or pulling on the pronounced ligament in my arch. The pain wasn't near my heel, rather it was on the upper half of the ligament closer too the big toe. [img]http://img215.imageshack.us/i/hwkb17034.
Avatar n tn Something that I do to help with foot cramps is keep a bottle or can next to the bed and roll the arch of my foot over it to help relax the muscle. Since the pain is now in thighs and hands, I would be worried as well. I would take her to a nutritionist if the pediatrician is drawing a blank.
Avatar n tn I am having pain in my left foot - Arch and heel are very painful. It started after playing golf with new golf shoes. I thought it might be the shoes and since have played with out them and still have the pain. I am flat footed and ware arch supports to minimize tiredness for walking all day. Day after I first felt the pain I had gone to my chiropractor for tightness in my lower and middle back. Since I have had this constant ach, and sharp pain in the heel.
Avatar n tn Hi Dr, About 15 years ago i sprained my left ankle ever since i have had problems with it. I have a pain on the top side of my foot over too the left side over my cuboid. When i go for a jog or a swim my foot would cramp up and my toes would turn into the up position trying to relief my pain. What would be the best way forward. Would a pair of arch supports work fine or would i have to go and see a specialist??
Avatar f tn For about a month I started to feel relief but two weeks ago the pain came back and is getting worse every day. It hurts sitting standing jumping or running. I wake ul most nights from the pain and it is hard to get through my daily routine, even just sitting at a desk in school. Any suggestions would help. I am desperate. Thanks!
Avatar m tn I was playing my saxophone (sitting down). I was tapping my foot up and down to count the beats when suddenly there was a sharp pain in the left side of my right foot's arch and I couldn't move my big toe (kind of like it was paralyzed or something). It went away within a few seconds though, and I could move my toe again. Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn Hello, As your husband is a diabetic and moreover there is a soft sore on the foot,so the possibility of diabetic foot is there. Diabetic foot is an umbrella term for foot problems in patients with diabetes mellitus. To prevent diabetic foot ulcers,he should have good foot hygiene, wear diabetic socks and shoes, and avoid injury.A consultation of a podiatrist will be the best. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how your husband is doing or if you have any additional doubts.
Avatar f tn It is literally just localized to that one are and it is not my whole ankle or foot. When I walk on just the upper part of my foot there is no pain as well as sitting and twisting my foot around there is no pain. As I stay off of it it does not get worse and it actually felt a little better this Thursday morning. Although the pain increases on it as I use it more. I am very concerned and I am running a half marathon this coming Sunday.
Avatar f tn You sodium intake may have a lot to do with it. Less sodium way more water. If that doesn't help maybe change your shoes. I work for Nike and im 29weeks i had to change into "mommy" shoes once i reached 27weeks due to foot pain.
Avatar m tn Hi, The other day I went to buy new shoes and was told I have a high arch, as well as my feet rolled-in (I think that was the word he used). He told me I needed proper support for it and recommended some special gel soles for the shoe. I'm not sure if the shoes themselves are any different or not (just look like regular sneakers to me).
7763229 tn?1396626895 I have orthotic inserts for my shoes because my arches have collapsed (you have three different arches in your foot, and one is located a bit below your toes). Without my orthotics, I get a pain in the top of my foot because the collapsed arch pinches a nerve cluster. Based on what you've said, that's what it sounds like to me.
Avatar f tn I do wear excellent shoes, the top Asics and I buy new ones every few months as i wear those shoes all the time. I do not wear regular shoes, I live in my running shoes. I think this shin pain is a chronic issue, rather than an acute one. Even when I let them rest for a few weeks, as soon as I start doing an incline, or up my speed, it is always the same. As soon as I drop down to a normal walk, within a few minutes the pain subsides.
