338416 tn?1420045702 s quite foot drop yet, but I certainly have to *think* about lifting my foot up. They make a foot brace that would hold my foot up, but it's plastic and clunky. I don't think I would have started running again if it wasn't for the weight. I get so frustrated, because I'm really trying to restrict my calories, and it doesn't do a bit of good. Working out on the trainer was exercise, but it just wasn't enough. I'm starting to wonder if I have a thyroid problem.
Avatar f tn At the time I had also a sprained foot, and a friend of mine who also check if she had asthma had to run up and down the stairs so that the doctor could listen to her lungs after physical activity. I still have problems when it comes to activity and breathing, should I check again? Is it possible that my old doctor was wrong?
Avatar m tn When measuring one's recovery heart after running...should I take that measurement sitting down after running? or, should I take it when walking after running? I have actually done it both ways already...after one minute of sitting down after running...my heart rate drops from say 155 to 100 in a minute. If I take it when walking...it drops from 155 to 110 after one minute. Which of these two measurements is a more accuarte assessment of recovery heart rate. From what I have read...
Avatar f tn I do not clearly understand how you are measuring you pulse: "rate drops to 80 bpm (counted by the treadmill and manual count) " Does that mean you were running to get up to 170 bpm (how did you get this measurement) then stopped and measured 8 bpm? The reason I'm focusing on the measurement method is it you are holding the hand grips and running, there is a good chance you are not getting a good contact with the pulse counter.
Avatar f tn Is running on a treadmill for 30 mins a day a good way to start loosing weight ? I currently do no excersise at all.....and what is a good way to loose stomach weight ??? Help me please.im 17 and 166 lbs...im only 5 foot tall...and I look horrible...
Avatar m tn I google searched the different foot muscle parts and I honestly believe this is the issue. The pain comes during the night (during sleep); it's like a golf ball; muscle spasm. And the pain comes when I wear rental footwear eg. ski boots, snowboarding boats, ice skates. I have seen 3 Podiatrists and they believe it is related to pronation. And one doctor evey recommended surgery. What are your thoughts?
Avatar m tn I still suffer from the same problem, a pain kind of on top of my foot where the foot meets my shin, but feels like its in the joint. Only hurst for 10 seconds or so first thing in the morning when I put weight on it. Don't want to see a orthopedic doctor if I don't absolutely have to as it will be quite expensive.
Avatar f tn Which measurements are over? Your fundal height (tummy)? If so they will just want to get a more accurate measurement of baby, make sure he/she isn't growing too rapidly and also to probably check amniotic fluid levels...One or both of which can give a larger than expected fundal height reading.
Avatar n tn I went for my U/S and TVUS this morning. I don't have the results yet, of course, but did manage to sneak a peek of the screen when the tech left the room. The first time she left, I saw "7.0 cm" in the bottom corner. This was a measurement from the TVUS, as she had just finished. She then came back in, mentioned something about taking more measurements due to the "physics" of something or another, and looked via U/S.
Avatar f tn My fundal height measurements took my Dr. by surprise today. I am scheduled for a growth scan in a week. I am 24 4/7 weeks I gained 7 pounds in 5 weeks. I trust my Dr. so much and respect his opinions as well. He was clearly concerned. He said it is to early for the baby's size to affect the measurements so drastically. I am a seasoned mother baby #5 on board but can't help but freak out. It is going to be a LONG week! Any one else experience this?
Avatar f tn m trying to measure myself at home, but I know my measurements aren't correct... I've googled on how to do it but i still think I'm doing it wrong...
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm 25 y.o. male. I have doubts that I'm producing too much adrenaline. I checked all my hromones from endocrine system. Everything is fine. The problem is that in laboratory where i checked my metanephrines the the units of measurement are in ng/L. In google I can't find information in this unit measurment.
Avatar n tn I like to stay active so I try to go walking and running in town. Halfway back from my walk it hurt unbelievably bad. My hips would not stop popping. I noticed that if I even push down on my hips it feels extremely painful. This only happens when I walk, run, or even ride horse. I don't have any clue of whats causing it and can't decide if I need to go to the doctor for it. Please help!
Avatar f tn ) and i do intervals of walking and running, more walking than running usually. a few days ago my left heel started getting very sore during my run and when i got home it was a sizeable water blister, probably from the friction of my sneaker, even tho i was wearing socks. i safely popped the blister with a sterile needle, drained it as much as possible and put a blister treatment pad over it and medical tape.
Avatar f tn I have been out of work since Wednesday for a foot injury and my job is hesitant on letting me come back concerned for my safety since i am 8 months pregnant. I'm getting nervous bc i have bills and I'm not sure how I'm going to maintain. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn I rolled my left foot in a hole while running in July '09. I have had pain in the left side of my foot in the heel area. I can apply pressure massaging the heel area and feel a sharp pain. I had mornings where my first step out of bed was agonizing pain. The more I walked the more it hurt. I have used ice/heat/ibuprofen and nothing has helped. I started wearing my running shoe to bed on my left foot. I believe it has kept my foot straight at night and allows for healing.
Avatar n tn *Also recently when i run and i pick up my lefft foot it will shake uncotrollably and ver violently.
6765322 tn?1395814235 Going off of that you would be due in March only cause mine was in July and I'm due in April... Maybe you conceived later than you think... I've had that happen to me with my first child... My last minstrel was in the beginning of January that year but they kept saying it was February because of the measurement so I did end up delivering her in November... I conceived right before my next minstrel... Maybe that's the case...
Avatar n tn I have an ascending aortic aneurysm measuring approximately 5 cm (most recent CT scan measurement) with no symptons. I was diagnosed approximately 20 years ago with a measurement of approximately 4.5 cm. The cardiologist are currently talking about surgery (Dacron Graft). I have been training for walking/jogging in Marathons for the past year and would like to continue doing Marathons.
Avatar n tn m really worried I was late on getting my young son from school so I ran and felt a prick on the bottom of my foot. I forgot kinda about it and took a shower when I got out I looked at it and did see a small red dot that looked like a poke on the same foot I felt the poke. I decided go back and check were I felt the poke on the sidewalk 3 hours later. I could not find a needle but I did find a disposable glove In that spot I though was strange.
Avatar m tn I'm a runner and recently got a pain on top of foot, as if my laces were too tight 9they may have been!) recently been doing a lot of off road running on uneven hard surface. it seems to be in the Extensor Hallucis Brevis area and there is a squashy lump the size of a smallish coin in that area, which isn't really painful to touch. If I loosen my laces in that area I can walk and do a bit of running without too much discomfort.
Avatar f tn s old and I used to run a lot, but on the last two years I stopped running that offten, so in was decided to start to be the "running machine" and started training on November 2017, everything was going fine until my first SVT while running on 25 March 2018, I was about to cross the 10k when suddenly I felt something on my chest, lack of strength and air, some pain, I couldn't bread no more, I felt like I was going to collapse right there...
Avatar f tn So these are the tendons into the foot, right? Do you have swelling? Were you having pain and swelling? You've had an MRI?
Avatar n tn I do lot of running and cycling in the gym. Just before these pains started on my left inguinal area and the left testicle, I ran a lot, especially more than 8 miles a day at a stretch with occassional running with more speed. I have no idea whether I accidentally injured and unnoticed. Can this be Gilmore's groin? Will it have tenderness in the testicles similar to the urological issues? If it is a Gilmore's groin, then how it can be diagnosed and treated?
