rsv

Avatar n tn 1 no and the other one said they would feel very comfortable takeing him on, however they would love to sit down have a meeting with my husband and I before the end of that school year, get his medical records they were all trained in first aid and CPR, take any training deemed necessary to make sure that if he did run into trouble they would know what to do. train on any medical device he might have (only a nebulizer) and the list continues. We ahve had 3 meetings prior to him starting school.
Avatar f tn One year olds can sometimes put a foreign body in the nose which can cause runny nose. Check that out with an ENT. Also check out a deviated nasal septum. Hay fever and allergic rhinitis should be ruled out. Persistence of RSV should also be looked into. Normally the food allergens cause only gastric symptoms. However if the allergen is absorbed and reaches the airways it can cause hay fever and asthma like symptoms. Hope this helps.
229857 tn?1319029907 What can I do in the meantime? I have been using the little noses drops and suctioning everything out. Oh he also has a little rash on his face which I know is common in babies that have a cold or other type of infection... the thing im worried about is RSV??? I think thats what its called. I read online it usually shows up between 4-6 week olds and he is 4 weeks... also im worried about the dark yellow mucus being an infection like pneunomia or something.. Gosh I hate the internet!!

Avatar n tn My son is going to be 2 months old soon and a couple of days after he was born they told me he has RSV, i have been in and out of the hospital so many times and he dose not seem to be getting any better. I have read everybody stories and How they lost their loved ones and i am so scared that it might happen to my son. Please is there anything that i can do to prevent this from getting worse???
Avatar f tn He has pneumonia every other month (since birth), he has also had bronchiolitis (without RSV), bronchitis, H1N1, and most currently RSV. When he was two we removed his tonsil and adenoids in hopes to help his asthma symptoms. While it did decrease the amount of sinus infections he had, it did nothing to help any other area. He is on Advair, 115/21 two puffs twice daily, and Allegra (for unknown allergies).

Avatar n tn Avoiding known stessors when possible is always smart. Then I would pick your battles. Two year olds sometimes don't make sense. Have your list of rules, stay firm and consistent with them. Then I think letting her be when she is upset is okay. Don't get upset back at her, stay very very calm. Model how you want her to act. Then, when things are going okay---- act something out in front of her. "oh mommy is so upset, I can't find my car keys, hm.
Avatar f tn Hello, my daughter, age 3, had a bronchoscopy and CT scan after repeated bouts of pneumonia in the same spot, right middle lobe. This all started after a severe RSV/pneumonia hospitalization as an infant. Her CT scan was read as "mild bronchiectasis" in the right middle lobe, same spot as her atelectasis. We know for sure that her last bout of pneumonia in march never fully cleared, b/c we did X-rays every 3 months. So she's had this atelectasis spot for quite awhile now.
Avatar f tn My little boy was born at 36 weeks and was in good health. His first year has been difficult. RSV. Milk protein allergies and eczema. Which pediatrician attributes to being early. He will be a year old on the 10th and he is off all medications and is slowly switching to plain old milk. Things will be fine. Being I. The hospital you will have the best care.
973741 tn?1342342773 ) I fear Influenza so much I have been doing masks and Listerine for years but all it takes is that one exposure (RSV) during a lapse in following my own advice. I am curious whether Influenza could be eradicated in the future.
Avatar f tn My son is two years old. 29 months. So almost two and a half. Recently, 3 times..within the last two weeks, he's Pooped in his diaper and poured in on to the carpeted floor and played in it. Each time was within less than a ten min time alone in his room. It's so gross to me having to deal with this being I'm 32 weeks pregnant. It's discusting anyways!
1712422 tn?1443337501 To be diagnosed with ADHD you must have the symptoms in two different places, so most doctors wait until the child is in school to make an official diagnosis. It is amazing that she is still going at 3am. Does she still nap? Have her own quiet room? Older siblings that keep her going? And, of course, she may have ADHD. So far, one of the best sites I have found for helping parents with children with ADHD is this site. http://helpguide.
1346146 tn?1299360497 Well Lauren has rsv! My pedi also said adults can get it to!?!? Didn't know that. I guess that explains this cold type stuff I have. So she is on breathing treatments. We caught it early enough so hopefully it wont be so bad. Dh is also sick, my oldest son broke his foot last week at school and is in a nonwalking cast, and Lauren also bit my left breast last week while nursing and it's infected so im on antibiotics and she can't nurse from that side!
Avatar f tn One of my friends new born baby was diagnosed with rsv she is only a month old she is still in the hospital. And last night her 2 year old got bit by a dog. She was rushed to the er . She has to save surgery this morning if you can please say a prayer for this family.
Avatar f tn My 11 week has rsv .. He was full term .. Has any other mother had this in a infant ..
593530 tn?1263847957 I brought Brody to his pediatrician last week because he was very congested. After a nose swab was tested it was determined that he has RSV. Since it's a virus it can't be treated with antibiotics, so she instructed me to get a cool mist humidifier and keep his nasal pasages clear by using saline solution. The only symptom he's had is the congestion. There's no fever, coughing, mucous coming out, etc.
Avatar f tn I would be really careful my daughter was a preemie and as soon as we got home she ended up back in the hospital with rsv because this is the time of year its out. And because she was so small she almost died and ended up in a childrens hospital for 5 weeks. It was horrible.
1368291 tn?1299629804 Saturday he was having lots of nasal congestion and coughing so I took him to the ER. He tested positive for RSV so the last few days have been scary. We are doing a cool mist humidifier with eucalyptus oil at night, albuterol breathing treatments and keeping his nose suctioned out. I hope he gets better soon but I did learn that apparently you cant trust family to let you know...
10043212 tn?1410903340 Is it normal for 4 year olds to want to be at grandma's more? Kinda makes me feel like she don't like being around me. But do mind me. I'm 7 months pregnant and all in my feelings lol.
Avatar f tn ve never heard of that other than in dogs I raise dogs and unfortunately lost two about 5 years ago to parvo but we never got it ourselves.
