My 11 week has rsv .. He was full term .. Has any other mother had this in a infant ..

My son had rsv and the hospital kept him and thankfully we were released in a few hours because his breathing was better.its scary to do that at home, honestly they should of kept him he's only an infant ! Please contact a doctor I honestly don't think he should be home my son was two months old when he had it, and my husband ask if we can go home with him and they told us some pretty scary stuff .

My son is going to be 2 months old soon and a couple of days after he was born they told me he has RSV, i have been in and out of the hospital so many times and he dose not seem to be getting any better. I have read everybody stories and How they lost their loved ones and i am so scared that it might happen to my son. Please is there anything that i can do to prevent this from getting worse???

we were back in er and stayed at hospital again for wheezing chest x ray clear, rsv neg.. heading to pulm doc on friday. do you have any suggestions or questions i should ask??? i am in a fog i just want my happy non wheezing baby back.

One of my friends new born baby was diagnosed with rsv she is only a month old she is still in the hospital. And last night her 2 year old got bit by a dog. She was rushed to the er . She has to save surgery this morning if you can please say a prayer for this family.

I would be really careful my daughter was a preemie and as soon as we got home she ended up back in the hospital with rsv because this is the time of year its out. And because she was so small she almost died and ended up in a childrens hospital for 5 weeks. It was horrible.

My grandchildren(2-3-4) were taken to ER cause of the same thing.Got this test and that done(no dehydration) and they said they had infectious diarreah.Not all the tests were back yet when they were told they could go home. Wouldn't ya know though..once they were in the ER they didn't all act sick.2 of them had spewed in the truck on the way there. They had been sick like yours for 3 weeks. Off and on this was going on.Gotta check back with my daughter abt the labs.

He has pneumonia every other month (since birth), he has also had bronchiolitis (without RSV), bronchitis, H1N1, and most currently RSV. When he was two we removed his tonsil and adenoids in hopes to help his asthma symptoms. While it did decrease the amount of sinus infections he had, it did nothing to help any other area. He is on Advair, 115/21 two puffs twice daily, and Allegra (for unknown allergies).

Had my lil girl at 32 weeks she was 3lb 10oz she stayed in nicu for 30 day but has always been very heathy never been back to hospital or had a rsv and only needed oxg the first few days at very low. She now 4 and smart . Good luck and 32 weeks is a pretty safe preemie.

I have a four month old son who got RSV along with the whole household in early February. We live at altitude (7200) feet, but the baby did well--- one night of observation in the hospital, where his O2 sats were 96-97 when he was being held or was upright, but would fall when sleeping or laying down into the mid-80s. So, he went on oxygen. Two months later he is still failing every overnight oxygen study in order to get him off nighttime oxygen.

I brought Brody to his pediatrician last week because he was very congested. After a nose swab was tested it was determined that he has RSV. Since it's a virus it can't be treated with antibiotics, so she instructed me to get a cool mist humidifier and keep his nasal pasages clear by using saline solution. The only symptom he's had is the congestion. There's no fever, coughing, mucous coming out, etc.

Saturday he was having lots of nasal congestion and coughing so I took him to the ER. He tested positive for RSV so the last few days have been scary. We are doing a cool mist humidifier with eucalyptus oil at night, albuterol breathing treatments and keeping his nose suctioned out. I hope he gets better soon but I did learn that apparently you cant trust family to let you know...

i just got the cause of death and it was RSV and pneumonia that took him from his family. Should the doctors have done a chest x-ray and blood work? should they have kept him in hospital due to already having a heart condition? Please if anyone can help.

m only so nervous about pneumonia because when my sister was a baby, my mom brought her into the hospital because her chest was caving in (later the Dr told my mom she was in respiratory arrest).

He was okay to come home then he was 5 weeks old and got really ill with the RSV and was in the hospital and then heart failure then the surgery then infection and more illness. he does have pulmomary issues partly because my hubby has asthma and the ithers they are saying is from bing on a ventilator at such a young age. Please make sure he gets the synagisis shot.(it helps lesson the rsv in a child with a heart issue and premature babies.

I'm in the er with my husband & daughter. She's 6 months & has a fever of 104.2. I don't know what's wrong, but Def am scared!! Such a high fever for a little baby. I'm waiting for the Dr now.

Take him to Dr asap Please Don't mess around with a baby this young! They can get an terrible infection called RSv its dangerous can cause respiratory problems and if not treated soon enough a hospital stay! My granddaughter had this and we had no clue it was so bad she had to take breathing treatments on a machine they bought her. Please don't hesitate we were shocked when we found out she had this.

t send him home if RSV is running around the hospital and he can be sent with a PICC line in place anywayse....

n hate her shr talked so much ish bout me n my bf it drives me crazy while I was pregnant with my daughter she was talking to a friend drunk in front of me n said ”if only we didnt have to deal with thr baby mom n just get the baby” I hated her after that while my daughter was sick in the hospital she was in disney land n got mad cuz she had to come back my daughter past away from rsv a day later!!

So I have a dilemma. My husband and I have a 13 month old son and we don't have any close by family or friends that can stay with him during delivery....anyone know hospital policy on young children in the delivery room? I can call my parents once I know I'm for sure in labor but they live 5-6 hours away and I truly don't want to have to labor/deliver alone while my husband stays with our son. Any advice??

her doctor told me to get a humidifier and put it in the same room as the baby and turn or you could also turn on the hot water and get it steamy in there while you have your baby in there and that could help also, i did both of those thing with her and it helped alot!! also use salt water and squeeze it up your childs nose and suction it all out and do that before and after feedings and before bed also and when your baby wakes up . if your baby does not clear up in like 2.

(crying all night) so i left out some info! in Oct. he was diagnosed with RSV and then again at the end of Nov.-first of Dec. he had it again! unfortunately RSV can take up to 8 weeks before it is released from your system hence why he had it twice in 2 months....the reason i thought it could be pneumonia is because of the way is chest moves when he breathes and because RSV can cause pneumonia to be set up in your system since your system is low especially in toddlers!

s been very active since August but has left many children in the hospital and most are in the intensive care unit!!! An average of 4/5 days to stay, some even more. I am worried about my children at school a 2nd grader and a kindergartener. If they are exposed, so will my youngest children, 4 year old, 3 year old, 14 month old and I am almost 34 weeks pregnant. There is no cure, there is no shot and of course antibiotics do not work against any virus.

Well Lauren has rsv! My pedi also said adults can get it to!?!? Didn't know that. I guess that explains this cold type stuff I have. So she is on breathing treatments. We caught it early enough so hopefully it wont be so bad. Dh is also sick, my oldest son broke his foot last week at school and is in a nonwalking cast, and Lauren also bit my left breast last week while nursing and it's infected so im on antibiotics and she can't nurse from that side!
