Last month was supposed to be the last but they called a couple of weeks ago and told us that half the kids that are coming in sick are testing positive for RSV and if Cassidy got it she would go back to the NICU again so I guess this month will be the last.

Hey everyone, New here and hoping for some opinions, personal experience and STORY TELLING! What are your positive thinking/activities that help you fight depression or anxiety. I usually PC game, however, even this isn't distracting my negative outlook or thoughts. So I'm hoping to find a "holy grail" of positive thinking.... ABOUT ME: Not medicated. I don't have a large friend group (hence). Really struggling to continue this facade.

does anyone know of an EKG recorder that can be used at home? I've seen a couple that work with a PC (computer) but haven't heard if they produce good strips or not. They are a little out of my price range also. Anyone know of a computer peripheral for recording strips that is affordable? I get arrhythmic episodes and requests from my physician to see an EKG, but it is hard to get to a machine when I am having an episode, since they are so transient.

Finally a few days ago i took him in again to the ER n they found out he has a virus newborns have been getting its Called Rsv n if they would have tested it before they would have found it i was So pissed!!! So now today we got out of the childerns hospital they sent him home with oxygen but to me he still seems bad but they that he was Fine!!

My son is going to be 2 months old soon and a couple of days after he was born they told me he has RSV, i have been in and out of the hospital so many times and he dose not seem to be getting any better. I have read everybody stories and How they lost their loved ones and i am so scared that it might happen to my son. Please is there anything that i can do to prevent this from getting worse???

I brought Brody to his pediatrician last week because he was very congested. After a nose swab was tested it was determined that he has RSV. Since it's a virus it can't be treated with antibiotics, so she instructed me to get a cool mist humidifier and keep his nasal pasages clear by using saline solution. The only symptom he's had is the congestion. There's no fever, coughing, mucous coming out, etc.

Saturday he was having lots of nasal congestion and coughing so I took him to the ER. He tested positive for RSV so the last few days have been scary. We are doing a cool mist humidifier with eucalyptus oil at night, albuterol breathing treatments and keeping his nose suctioned out. I hope he gets better soon but I did learn that apparently you cant trust family to let you know...

s the type of thing you can shape to your life no matter what you are going through. Maybe some of you should check it out. I have the little pocket edition.

I swear im gonna have my hubby come over for you and fix that aggravating pc LOL!!! JK!! I would if I could!! Srry it giving you troubles again hope you get if fixed fast we will miss you!!

After researching pc for the past three years,I believe there are just way to many gray areas in the medical world regarding this problem.I believe you should leave it alone,change your diet,and take your chances.Surgery,radiation,etc actually can make things worse.There seems to be no benefit to all these procedures,and it does not really extend your life span.It is a big money maker.Let me hear some opinions.

I took my 4 week old to the ER and they told me he has RSV. They just gave me a paper on it, They didn't really tell me what to do except suction out his nose. I read the paper ad it told me that in mild disease that no specific treatment is necessary. So I guess he is only a mild case, but I don't know how to tell if he is getting worse. I read on another site that family history of asthma puts him at a higher risk for becoming a severe case. I am know wen he is getting worse?

Well Lauren has rsv! My pedi also said adults can get it to!?!? Didn't know that. I guess that explains this cold type stuff I have. So she is on breathing treatments. We caught it early enough so hopefully it wont be so bad. Dh is also sick, my oldest son broke his foot last week at school and is in a nonwalking cast, and Lauren also bit my left breast last week while nursing and it's infected so im on antibiotics and she can't nurse from that side!

(crying all night) so i left out some info! in Oct. he was diagnosed with RSV and then again at the end of Nov.-first of Dec. he had it again! unfortunately RSV can take up to 8 weeks before it is released from your system hence why he had it twice in 2 months....the reason i thought it could be pneumonia is because of the way is chest moves when he breathes and because RSV can cause pneumonia to be set up in your system since your system is low especially in toddlers!

Then fever up to 104 and deydration the next took her to the ER they put her on IVs but could not find whats wrong. She has a history of RSV could this be what it is again. I dont know what o do?

Also is it best to use the same mfg of the lens in the other eye and a 1 pc lens in both eyes rather than have a 3 pc in one eye and a one p.c in the other? I know symmetry is impt. Lastly If it is a dense cataract - is the bath method of ultrasound the best at getting a good reading.. There is a new scan they use in when the lens is out to get a last read - that shines a light - can that be harmful to the macular or retina?

One of my friends new born baby was diagnosed with rsv she is only a month old she is still in the hospital. And last night her 2 year old got bit by a dog. She was rushed to the er . She has to save surgery this morning if you can please say a prayer for this family.

you also might want to ask your cardiologist or primary doctor about if your little one should recieve the synagis vaccine. this is to help lesson the effects of RSV (this is a viral infection) most kids can fight it off, if they are healthy to begin with. i am not sure if your little one would qualify. I wouldn't see why not. this infection from what I was toldif it affects newborns who are premmeis have a heart condition, lung issues and a low immune system.
