1935252 tn?1329757119 I know why you thought of that, it is because of the way you were being treated yesterday by your husband. The Bible is a very powerful Book and we could all learn a lot from it. I would like to go back into Bible study classes eventually. None of us are perfect. God gave his only son to erase the sins of man.
306867 tn?1299249709 There's an email going around about the whole Muslim/antichrist thing and that the book of revelations (in the Bible). It's used to scare people and it is very very untrue. The book of Revelations in the Bible does not say anything about Obama, it's confused with the revelations of the famous prophet Nostradamus.
Avatar m tn Once I accepted this I don’t get bent out of shape over the “Bull ****” God or what ever you chose to call him/her, is a Spirit (it says so in the Bible), and is not contained by a book. The #1 reason that Atheists and Agnostics use is the Bible. I hear people all the time blaming The Qumran because of a few scriptures that instruct them to kill. The Bible does the same thing and maybe worse.
Avatar f tn Hmmm, I love reading so I'll have to check out some of the books you mentioned rosy! I have read most of the Janet evonovich books, but not the new one. I've read most of the John Grisham books and love them! Way back in the day I read most of the Stephen king books, but they are too scary for me now lol! I really quit reading once I had kids, especially my youngest, because there just doesn't seem to be enough time. But I'm pretty sure all the opiate use didn't help!
998054 tn?1250484814 I love Les Miserables. It is super long (1100 pages), but so worth the read. Just thinking about it now makes me want to go pick it up again. BTW I LOVE the musical too.... A close second would have to be East of Eden by John Steinbeck...
Avatar f tn my favorite is probably the book of Job, but really like the book or Ruth as well. have you read that? awesome!

593530 tn?1263847957 I brought Brody to his pediatrician last week because he was very congested. After a nose swab was tested it was determined that he has RSV. Since it's a virus it can't be treated with antibiotics, so she instructed me to get a cool mist humidifier and keep his nasal pasages clear by using saline solution. The only symptom he's had is the congestion. There's no fever, coughing, mucous coming out, etc.
1368291 tn?1299629804 Saturday he was having lots of nasal congestion and coughing so I took him to the ER. He tested positive for RSV so the last few days have been scary. We are doing a cool mist humidifier with eucalyptus oil at night, albuterol breathing treatments and keeping his nose suctioned out. I hope he gets better soon but I did learn that apparently you cant trust family to let you know...
Avatar m tn c but I want to wait and let it happen naturally or have a repeat u/s in a week or two and see if this baby is ok) ok so I work at a church (church secretary) so I decided to take a break and sit in the pew and pray about things and a page number came to me so I grabbed the Bible and turned to that page and here is the verse my eyes fell to instantly: NRSV Bible Job 13:1-6 pg 462 "Look, my eye has seen all this, my ear has heard and understood it.
460591 tn?1207150799 Things like little fortunes...or like horoscopes...or something? I try to read a page out of the "Tao Te Ching". This is the book that the guy from "A Million Little Pieces" read. That's where I heard of it. I feel like I appreciate it so much more being a recovering addict. I apply the page I read to my everyday life and it just fits. It's the type of thing you can shape to your life no matter what you are going through. Maybe some of you should check it out.
11140311 tn?1427813351 Asaiah is in the Bible, but he's only mentioned a couple times. He was the secretary of Josiah, an ancient Biblical king. But Isaiah has an entire book in the Bible and is a very important Old Testament prophet. I've never heard of a child named Asaiah, but I really like the name Isaiah. Lol Just remember, this is your baby too. And if you don't like the name your so has picked out, you should compromise.
1032715 tn?1315984234 I doubt the dog knows the difference between the bible and a newspaper. Besides that, it is what the book says that is so special not the fact that it is a book. We should memorize it because in the last days we will not have access to one. POOR DOG! They be some sick sick puppies out there! No pun intended.
Avatar n tn I see small lists, but nothing very complete. Have you found one? I have a book or two but I would think it exists online. Thanks.
Avatar m tn “God does not regard the fetus as a soul, no matter how far gestation has progressed. The Law plainly exacts: 'If a man kills any human life he will be put to death' (Lev. 24:17). But according to Exodus 21:22–24, the destruction of the fetus is not a capital offense… Clearly, then, in contrast to the mother, the fetus is not reckoned as a soul.” The magazine Christian Life agreed, insisting, “The Bible definitely pinpoints a difference in the value of a fetus and an adult.
1960480 tn?1342315266 re expecting and another great book called the pregnancy bible. It has all kinds of great info in it and great pictures to give you an idea of what your body and your baby should be looking like from a week by week view.
547836 tn?1302832832 I would like to know if anyone has any great book recommendations to share? We can all benefit from reading, and it's practically free if you have a library near you. Here is my list: Past Reading: - Man's Search For Meaning (Frankl) - Excellent excellent book, opened my eyes to reality and inspired me to take on a more positive attitude. Man is ultimately self-determining. Method: logotherapy.
Avatar f tn I took my 4 week old to the ER and they told me he has RSV. They just gave me a paper on it, They didn't really tell me what to do except suction out his nose. I read the paper ad it told me that in mild disease that no specific treatment is necessary. So I guess he is only a mild case, but I don't know how to tell if he is getting worse. I read on another site that family history of asthma puts him at a higher risk for becoming a severe case. I am know wen he is getting worse?
Avatar n tn I think the unknown us the scariest part of pregnancy, which is why I choose to read a few books. The pregnancy Bible is seriously the best book ever written. It gave me info on what would happen in almost every scenario abs really made me feel more comfortable with what was happening to my body and my baby. Totally recommended for the new moms out there.
