8101930 tn?1420001456 My son is 2 months and just received his first shots yesterday including the rotavirus vaccine. I noticed that after his shots and today he has been pooping yellow colored like normal but it is very chunky. He is exclusively breast fed and always has a little bit of a seedy stool but this is very chunky. I'm Just curious if anyone knows if this is normal or not. Could it be from the rotavirus vaccine because they do ingest it. Thanks.
Avatar m tn Why is there such a large deviation or difference of opinion in different doctors on whether or not amblyopia can or cannot be treated in adults? Is it still because studies such as those conducted by McGill University (tetris) are relatively new?
Avatar f tn At 12 months, she began to fall of her growth curve. Shortly after her first birthday, she got rotavirus and became severely dehydrated. After 4 trips to the ER (they thought I only wanted a cure for the stomach flu), she was admitted for 5 days and closely monitored. She was 17.5 lbs at her 1 year check up, she lost 1 1/2 lbs from rotavirus at admittance and upon discharge she weighed 18 lbs. A pediatrician who is a specialist thought she had celiac disease but testing came back negative.
Avatar n tn After two weeks I think a Doctor visit is in order, it could have been a stomach bug or some allergy to food.Could you tell me what foods he is mainly fed ?
Avatar f tn Can someone please name off some or if all the vaccines they give newborns in the hospital after delivery?? Please :) 40 more days !!
Avatar f tn dealt with the high pollen and allergies and again fluid in the ears. Tomorrow I go to have tubes put in. I am extremely nervous because I will be awake for the procedure. Any advice as to what I can except, during and after?
1284078 tn?1271587111 My doctor is now going to refer me back to my old renal consultant as they just dont know what to do with me, as you know it is unusual in adults and frankly i think i am probably the only person they have ever seen with it (i live on a small island so thats not that far fetched) What gets me is that i have had a few years without any problems and i guess i got my hopes up that it was finally over. It is nice to know that i am not the only one out there going through this.
Avatar f tn I know Cradle Cap is used for babie's that have it but i just cannot remember the real name for it. Anyways my mum seems to have it and she's in her late 40's. The first time she got it was a few months ago, it started off with a severe itchy scalp and red itchy spots on her neck/back, then she woke up with a shock, her scalp was covered in yellow crust, it was awful she was so distressed, i had to get it out with a nit comb. That time she was suffering from stress.
Avatar n tn t sound as lactose intolerance. Viral diarrhea (Rotavirus) is common in children younger than 5 years, and some immunity develops after that, so it would be unusual to have 4 consecutive bouts of diarrhea from the virus. What is the color and consistence of his stool? How many times a day? He is complaining (or you suspect) about school problems? Any abdominal pain, if yes, where exactly?
136689 tn?1419580447 she had rotavirus from birth but that is sorting it self out and has been putting on weight steadly so we are sort of hoping that the sweat test will come back negative do i have a glimmer of hope for a misdiagnoses?
4624236 tn?1357891407 should support you, but her views are different and could very well not best option in your favor...parents want whats best for their children like im.sure your mom.
Avatar m tn Ever since I started taking a probiotic (Phillips Colon Health) I've been feeling the direct opposite of what they're supposed to make you feel like - sluggish, and constipated. At first, my stools were respectable and healthy-looking. But after a week of nice stools, when I DO poop, it's rock hard and varies in colors. Now, I'll go about three days without having a poop. Has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar m tn s safer to space out the vaccinations as opposed to piling 5 in one visit, per the CDC schedule. Is your baby in daycare? If in daycare, I think DTaP and HIB are good to start with. I did not do Rotavirus or Pc.
1770029 tn?1325802355 In children they can also get Rotavirus in the same manner. These viruses are seasonal like the flu and so are mistakenly called stomach flu or as a slang term. The Norovirus usually goes away in 2-3 days. You need to hydrate yourself perhaps with gatoraide. If you can eat have a banana or other food with potassium. Since you just have nausea it could be other things if you don't develop diarrhea. Food allergies, and other things can cause this too especially in the lack of fever.
Avatar f tn Six years ago he was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, and it extended from inside his rectum all the way up and around the first bend in his colon. He never took medication for it, because he's hardheaded - but he smokes, and the nicotine had kept him from ever having any flare-ups. Today he had a follow-up colonoscopy, and the doctor seemed very shocked to find that my husband has absolutely NO signs of ever having the ulcerative colitis.
Avatar f tn I just posted this same response under another topic.....but it fits here, too: I am a 27-year old female who has just had an ICD implanted. It is the best decision I could have ever made. I am no longer experiencing skipped/abnormal beats. I feel so much better having the device, knowing that should my heart decides it wants to skip beats or even stop, I have a safety net.
