i stll worry of siezure on wellbutrin sr and my other meds,,,cant tell the ritalin is helping eithr and i drank 3 beers last night

im on xanax for anxiety wellbutrin sr for derpession and ritalin to boost me...been on ritalin since june 3 last couple days i have tingling all thru my body...

urgent I have just found out they are no longer making sr Ritalin 20mg and I have been taking 8tablets every morning for 40 years it was lowered 10 years ago from 10 tablets but I need to know what medication is as effective as the sr Ritalin which lasted about 8 hours for me I need to know before if possible 1045 am today when my doctor and I discuss this I want to know my options going into this meeting please

Tried ritalin (normal), ritalin SR, Concerta and amphetamine. Concerta gave me something but felt something missing, normal ritalin was terrible, OD and came into "cocain waves" (very high, and straight to the bottom), amph gave me more but I didn´t eat, and felt a bit anxious, ritalin SR was, and is my favourite, works as a charm.

For instance, if a person is on 30mg of Adderall and wants to switch to Ritalin,..you will need aprox. 50 to 60mg of Ritalin to be equivelant to the 30mg of Adderall. I am on 60mg of Adderall daily. I wanted to try Ritalin again just for the heck of it. I have shown proof from reliable sources, to my Doc that he needs to give me MORE than 60mg Ritalin for it to be effective as 60mg Adderrall. He still will NOT increase the Ritalin dosage.

was on adderall for 4 months 10 mg a day and now have switched to ritalin (its a long story) and 5mg not enough so i went up to another 5 a day. Seems to help but i feel abit impatient, given to impatience and easily annoyed lately is anyone experiencing these as sdie effects? My daughter is prescribed ritalin and takes it at school. The doctor did a Urinalysis test and sent the sample to yhe lab. Well that didn't end so well because ritalin didn't show up in her system at all. Thank god that the day of the appointment she had school or it wouldn't have looked so good on me.

I am a 74 year old Female and I am taking 20mg of Ritalin SR in the AM and 25mg of Imipram for the cataplexy in the PM. I get about 2 to 4 hrs sleep and the rest of the night I toss and turn. My Dr. told me she doesn't give meds for her patients to sleep. I am concerned about not sleeping and then taking Ritalin to keep me awake during the day.I feel my health will be affected. When he is on the he is quiet, mild mannered, compassionate, he pays attention, stays seated, etc... Also, we have tried the long acting meds. He has been on Ritalin LA and Concerta. For some reason his body metabolizes the meds just as if they were not long acting. We had better results with the Concerta but he had a hard time coming off of it. He was moody and mean which was not like him at all. He also had a very hard time falling asleep.

My neuro put me on Ritalin for this bone crushing fatigue a week ago. I realize some medicines take a while to get into your system before they actually work and some medicines are fast acting and you get immediate results. Ive gained quite a bit of weight, and thats basically ruined my life. I just started treatment about a week ago. I would take Ritalin LA first thing after breakfast, and then 3 more short acting 10ml doses throughout the day "as needed". The first 3 or so days were amazing, I felt motivated, awake, and alert, and most of all, it helped suppress my hunger, and I already felt like I was on the right path to losing weight, and eating smaller, healthier portions. No side effects!

Been using focalin for adhd for 3 years. Previously uses ritalin, concerta, ritalin LA. Taking 10mg twice daily. Recnently been feeling very stressed and anxiety out over nothing. These are shorter acting duration - up to 4 hours and many times are used on an as needed basis by adults. There are also the longer acting versions such as Ritalin LA or Concerta which can last 8 to 10 hours. Many times these are used by people with ADD because they don’t need the stronger stim meds that people with ADHD might require.  The second kind are the amphetamines such as Adderall which will last 4 to 8 hours or 6 to 10 in the extended version.

Hello. These two conditions are not noticed with Ritalin. You may have had them coincidentally. Adult ADD is associated with a lot of other psychological problems. To avoid them, you should try and take Ritalin regularly. Can you mention if you had AD/HD symptoms in the childhood?
