What James did not post were the findings right under the two he listed, which are as follows...The last paragraph is important!! 3. Those on silymarin showed significantly fewer liver-related symptoms than non-users. 4. Those on silymarin scored higher on quality-of-life parameters than non-users. 5.
907968 tn?1292622204 ll like cream over milk or milk over cream. Any case, is there a difference for the cholesterol benefits between coconut milk -vs- cream?
Avatar f tn I did a little research on Coconut milk simply because I have to stay away from saturated fats such that cow milk has. Turns out Coconut milk is a wonder drug for those that live in an area where saturated fats are nearly non-existent but has far more saturated fat than cows milk. I love coconut candy, cakes, and such which is what started the research. Turns out that Almound milk is one of the best milks out there for health issues.

Avatar f tn If he is having his full quota of baby milk and still is hungry, then it will be fine for you to introduce baby rice. You can use some of the baby milk to mix into a small amount (try a small teaspoonful first) of the baby rice and give him little bits of it from a baby spoon. There are lots of baby packet foods and jar foods for 4 month old babies that you can slowly introduce to his taste buds. Be guided by your baby because all babies vary.
Avatar f tn So husband and I are really contemplating adding rice cereal to his last bottle before we go to bed. Just enough to get him to maybe drop 1 night feeding and be fully hungry at the next. What are some of your thoughts. I know they say 3 months or older but this whole waking up just to feed 1.5 ounces every 2 hours is super annoying. And we're wasting a lot of formula.

Avatar n tn Make pasta and cheese or add cheese to rice and beans. Some children will accept whole milk if you add chocolate or strawberry flavor mix to it. If that does not work and she likes soy milk, then give her soy milk (has the same amount of calcium as in regular milk). Hoped this helped you.
Avatar f tn But yes they can have rice cereal. The main ingredient in no spit up formula and some others is rice. Go with your mommy instincts. "Researchers say" changes every few years, you know whats best.
Avatar f tn In Europe, they have sworn by Milk Thistle, convinced that it does have medicinal benefits or at least some benefits for the liver. Otherwise, it's up to you...
8628831 tn?1407267564 I'm having a water birth and getting my placenta encapsulated :-) it has many health benefits! You see animals all the time consuming theirs after birth.
1099716 tn?1257569824 It sounds to me like you are lactose intolerant and suceptible to the butter fat. Your usual symptoms sound very much like classic symptoms to lactose intolerance. It sounds like you need to become very strict with yourself and totally eliminate dairy from your diet, since you have had a history with it bothering your digestive tract and your sinuses. Totally classic lactose intolerance.
2030686 tn?1351688548 Even the ones that specifically say milk free on the label have milk in them. Lactose free usually still has milk poducts in it and typically whey comes from milk. Any one else with a milk allergy on peg/riba who can help me out here? Any suggestions on what to do when I can't eat? Like I said, it's not lactose that's a problem, it's any milk products.
Avatar m tn Magnesium benefits? Where should we start? With reduced risk of cognitive decline? Or maybe… * Promotion of strong bones in postmenopausal women * Heart health support * Management of C-reactive protein (a key marker of inflammation) * Maintenance of tooth enamel Clearly, magnesium is a nutrient you don't want to get caught short on. Especially because magnesium has an important type 2 diabetes connection, which in turn has a gallstone connection.

Avatar n tn There are other alternatives other than regular dairy milk-there is the soy, rice, and almond milk. I would ask your doctor about using these instead. I also would not give her peanut butter yet this is a common allergy food. hope this is helpful (by the way lactose intolernace is not an allergy and a different test would need to be done to determine that.
Avatar m tn Hi I am lactose intolerant and i was able through over a period of time starting with heavy vanilla soy milk work my way into vanilla rice milk. Sounds gross but over time even rice milk now seems heavy. I eat rice dream or soy dream ice cream. It takes a little getting used to but once you do your free and can eat until your eyes are buldging and not gain much weight. I love the stuff. They also have many types of choclate syrups that are made from non sugar ingredients to put on top.
Avatar n tn Almost everyone is allergic to cow's milk. That's why mammals breast feed. When you don't or can't breast feed, one thing missing is the immune system building colostrum found in early breast milk. No formula is healthy -- they are just the best we can do sometimes.
Avatar f tn beauty benefits from my school years, now that I am on it I am never drinking store bought milk again. Not even organic because it's still cooked and all the alfalfa and clovers enzymes and vitamins are killed by the cooking process. There are thousands of people who will advise you against it, do your own research and decide for your self. I will take beautiful silky skin, healthy tummy and stong bones over hormone & antibiotic induced nutrient depleted milk any time and day.
Avatar f tn Hain weight healthy! So First of all you should prefer carbs. Just like brown rice. Whole grain bread etc. and there are a lot of healthy fats. High in calories. Like avocado, peanut butter and olive oil. Also try to eat the high fat versions. Just like that: Breakfast: -2 cups of oatmeal, one cup of whole fat milk, Greek yoghurt with 10% fat and one large table spoon peanut butter. That add one banana.
1303813 tn?1303159362 What would you do! my health visitor had another moan at me about the baby rice once a day!! The only time he cries is when he is hungry! He is a good boy for his injections and things and he grizzles when he is tired that's it! But he cries proper cries when he is hungry I mean he cries like he has never been fed? Is it wise to introduce some soild s this early or just stick to rice and maybe do it twice a day?
