What is the average lifespan, prognosis for systemic amyloidosis??

Wow what a small world. We all know it's business. I know it's all about insurance. I hate to see any drugs cost without insurance. My father has MDS and is taking Revlimid. Without Medicare or insurance or without medicine company's financial aid, it's 10,000 dollars for 30 day supply. But with Medicare it's 300 dollars. But when you represent a company, you are the image of what the company represents. The system works sometimes and it does work else where.

Anyone ever have kidney infections or other kidney problems related to hep C? I have hep C....no treatment yet, but I have lots of sharp pain in my midright back about where the kidney shold be (I think). Maybe it is unrelated. Just seems strange it has come at the same time I am dealing with this hep C issue.

So I had this problem with my last pregnancy,.and unfortunately it's here with this one too. The uterus kinks off my ureter to my kidney so it doesn't drain very well. I usually can lay on my side and it will slowly drain but tonight I can't get any relief, I'm in so much pain I don't know what to do.

Hi. I have a long history with kidney stones and four years ago had my right kidney removed due to a stag horn kidney. In a recent ultrasound a 1cm stone non obstructive was found in the right kidney. Subsequent tests have shown blood in the urine. I do not see the urologist for a couple of weeks. I have had flank pain for some months but am told a non obstructive stone cannot cause pain.

You could have an obstruction or an infection in the kidney. I was quite close to dying from kidney failure when I was given the wrong antibiotics to take. This is nothing to mess around with. Please go to the ER, see a urologist, GP or urgent care.
