Avatar f tn YOU CAN SEE HER BODY KIND OF LIKE HEAVING OR CONVULSING. I TOOK HER TO MY VET AND THEY SAID SHE WAS REVERSE SNEEZING. HAVE YOU HEARD OF THIS. HE ALSO SAID TO GIVE HER A HALF OF A BENEDRYL. WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE GOES TO THE VET REGULARY AND IS UPDATED ON ALL SHOTS AND TREATMENTS SHE SOMETIMES HAS ALLERGIES. LAST NIGHT THIS EPISODE LASTED ABOUT 1 MINUTE IT WAS VERY SCARY.
Avatar f tn My dog is making a weird weezy breathing sound... (NOT reverse sneezing, I'm aware of this.) He's not being active and you can see his chest move while he breaths. Breathing out of his nose. His nose is dry, he threw up some slimy mucus too. What could this be???
Avatar f tn I was VERY interested in the vet saying he could hear congestion in his nose... which goes with reverse sneezing. I was also interested in the report that the dog licks a lot. Well, our dog is blowing his coat at an unexpected time because we had balmy weather when normal is very cold this time of year. He licks his coat, of course, all the time, and we do our best to keep up with the big white clumps of fur coming off him.
Avatar f tn Gia is an Italian greyhound, age unknown, although she was rescued in 2009 and was full grown then. Several times a month for years her stomach starts crackling, popping, fizzling and making all kinds of weird noises and she will not eat when this is happening. In the last year she is sneezing and reverse sneezing and my vet can't seem to figure out what is wrong. His last solution was a steroid shot which seemed to reduce the number of sneezing incidents but not the reverse sneezing.
Avatar f tn Is it a proper sneeze (air blowing outward) or what's commonly referred to as "reverse sneezing"? Reverse sneezing can be frightening to see if it keeps on for a few minutes, but it's harmless - basically a kind of a hiccup. Our Dal gets reverse sneezing fits sometimes and we can usually stop it by rubbing his throat and getting him to move around a bit. That technique might help when your dog gets the sneezes from excitement.
Avatar f tn s fine now, it stopped after 2 or 3 times yesterday. So weird, maybe he is reverse sneezing due to allergies. We do live in the city, not too many plants around. Thank you again!!!!!
Avatar n tn This sounds very like what is called "Reverse Sneezing" . It is a bit of a mystery, as no-one knows exactly why this can occasionally happen. It has happened to my dog about 4 or 5 times since she has been with me (7-8 years) and she is very fit and well. So it appears whatever causes this symptom doesn't threaten the dog's health.
Avatar m tn Switch to boxers from jockey shorts if you've not already done so (more airy, allows for dryer skin, far less likely to acquire jock itch episodes). Apply a couple of light coatings of plain skincare lotion just after bath or shower. It may take months or years to reverse the impact of the hydrocortisone (I agree, it needs to be stopped).
Avatar n tn my sheltie coughs like she has something in her throat she wants to bring up. I took her to the vet and he couldnt find anything wrong with her. My daughter who was a vet tech said it is a reverse sneeze. Is there anything I can do to make it better?
1622527 tn?1301644622 The only real advice I can give you is to take him to the vet for a thorough examination (Heart/Lungs, and bloodwork) That is the soundest advice I can think of, and if you could manage to find the cash to do that, one way or another....it would be a wise move. However, it is just possible this could be what is called "Reverse Sneezing". Google "Reverse Sneezing You Tube" and you will come up with videos of dogs with this.
Avatar n tn In addition to condoms, does wearing boxers with a small slit for the penis to protrude during sex offer any sort of protection vs herpes? It's a bit ridiculous I know, but thoughts please...
Avatar m tn I. I'm 68 an have been on vikes for quite some time.3-4 yrs. I'm on not just for the heck of it but just had some back surgery that did not totally work right. Also have a totally blown shoulder. Have had a Rgt. knee replacement and do need a left one too. To top it off I have a left ankle that needs surgery. At my age ? BUMMER!! But I am blessed with a great wife and a great faith. Story here is I ran out of vikes so I am trying to withdraw.
871111 tn?1248992972 I certainly see alot of pugs with allergies (to food or pollen/dust), usually with symptoms such as scratching, foot licking, recurrent skin rashes and recurrent ear infections, and less commonly sneezing and reverse sneezing. It is certainly possible that your pug has an allergic cause for the ear infection and the brown stains on the jaw.
Avatar f tn I didnt felt anything for the next few days but when guilt and anxiety kicked into me I started to be hypersensitive with my genital area that the tip of my penis started to hurt whenever it brushes off my boxers. Earlier today I saw some blood like stain on my boxers.
Avatar f tn Would this still affect in be in getting hsv. please advice. thank you again for your time and consideration.
Avatar n tn Could you describe the discoloration to me in detail so that I may be able to help you better? Just because the skin scraping has come back negative doesn't mean that your dog does not have demodex mites. Demodex mites cause a discoloration to hair and skin that makes the affected area appear moth eaten. Demodex mites do not cause itching usually. Melatonin is perfectly safe, but only give it at night.
Avatar m tn I noticed them when I felt that the skin of the opening of my penis was unusually sensitive to the touch of the fabric in my boxers. I had recently had a one time occurring sexual event with someone I've known for over a year now but am not exactly close with. We didn't go completely through with it because there weren't any condoms available but insertion and contact was made.
Avatar n tn Hi John, I think you have found your own answer in dry masturbating for many years, Yes, you can find some lotions and potions if you google skin shrinkers, or have you thought of plastic surgary. Cant think of much else.
Avatar f tn Yes it is called reverse sneezing and is totally harmless,=)
Avatar f tn She needs to see her Vet....Hopefully, this is just reverse sneezing, but with the frequency, it could also be a respiratory infection.....If that be the case, she could get pneumonia which is much harder to treat.....She needs a visit to her Vet just in case...Let us know what you find out......
