Its hard to say for sure as your body has a lot to deal with after having a baby, if you are nursing it can cause a delay in your period depending how much you are nursing plays a big factor in timing as well but if you are not it can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months or so... there is a big range for what is considered normal as every woman is different...

If you were my patient, I would probably recommend waiting for a menstrual period, and then resuming meds. Given your history of infection as well as a D&C, you are at risk for Asherman's syndrome. That is scarring of the lining of the uterus. So if you don't have a period within 6 weeks, you should notify your doctor.
