Avatar n tn hi! i'm 31 years old and had my first menstrual cycle after having had my daughter twenty months ago begin about 17 days ago (so cycle day 1 was 17 days ago - my period ended about 9 days later). anyhow, for the past two days, i've been having bright red bleeding, about the size of a quarter that requires a liner. is this something i ought to be concerned about?
Avatar n tn A menstrual cycle starts with ovulating then your period so your menstrual cycle can start at any time generally if you are breastfeeding it comes 2 to 6 months after giving birth. So what I would recommend is have sex as much as possible because you have a 3 day period to get pregnant. And if you want to get pregnant as soon as possible try to get pregnant on your first menstrual cycle.
Avatar f tn I am probably older than most of you -- 47 -- because I had my daugther at 40 and bc most people seem to present with IGM a few years after nursing. I was diagnosed at 45. So, my body is starting to change hormonally and I wonder how this might impact my IGM.
Avatar m tn BUT there is always that small percentage... you may be in for Surprise Baby #2. I had this very thing happen right after my third child, was not cautious about postpartum BC, and here came Baby #4, 13 months later. But I'm happy: This surprise turned out to be my only daughter!
Avatar f tn I had been doing a lot of lifting and moving related to my nursing job and the symptoms occurred after moving a patient. I was told there was a lot of mediastinal scarring and that the hernia occurred in a different location. Any way I am about 4-5 weeks post op and am terrified about resuming the normal activity required for my job. The doctor has cleared me to return to full duty now and I am afraid that I am going to cause another occurrence;that maybe my diaphragm is weak. Thoughts?
Avatar n tn i am a nursing for 14 months kid. Usually my period cycle 28 or 27 days. Last month i ovulated on 17th day and got preiods on 31st day. This time i ovulated on 15th day and 16th day . When can i expect my period date?? why there is sudden change in cycle? any pbm?
Avatar f tn Its hard to say for sure as your body has a lot to deal with after having a baby, if you are nursing it can cause a delay in your period depending how much you are nursing plays a big factor in timing as well but if you are not it can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 3 months or so... there is a big range for what is considered normal as every woman is different...
Avatar f tn I'm in the process of receiving AI. My mentrual cycle is 28 days, however after my first AI Procedure I've had a second cycle in the same month! (Full blown bleeding). Going forward, which cycle do I now calculate from, the first one, or this second one? And it obviously now means, I've lost the "egg" and didn't "take"...? Is it necessary to still do a pregnancy test?
Avatar n tn is there any danger of having my menstrual for over a week after one year of not having it?
915119 tn?1341948989 If you were my patient, I would probably recommend waiting for a menstrual period, and then resuming meds. Given your history of infection as well as a D&C, you are at risk for Asherman's syndrome. That is scarring of the lining of the uterus. So if you don't have a period within 6 weeks, you should notify your doctor. Also, if your period is excessively light, or excessively painful, mention that to your MD too. I wish you all the best! Good luck!
Avatar m tn Jan 27th i done with ectopic pregnancy open surgery after 1 month on feb 27th i got cycle but this month i didn't get cycle give me brief explanation plz
937837 tn?1285350385 I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Before my cycles were 37, 49, 34, stopped taking birth control in mid October. Was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for a women with hypothyroidism?
Avatar n tn You count the length of your cycle from the first day of your last period to the first day of your next period. The length of your mentration does not calculate. Once you know the average length of your cycle, you can find out when you are supposed to O.
Avatar f tn my menstral cycle was to start on the 27th but light pinkish spotting on the 30th can any one help thanks
Avatar f tn Okay. Well, in all honesty, I would suspect just a wonky period rather than pregnancy at this point. Conceiving naturally past 40 goes down each year that goes by. I would see if a period starts in the next two weeks or if you get a period when you'd ordinarily have expected it based on your regular cycle. If there is an issue after that time, I'd consult your doctor. Lots of things can delay a period from stress, to changes in routine, hormonal issues, slow thyroid, etc.
Avatar n tn It is not uncommon for young women to have lumpy breasts, these can even get larger during certain times in the menstrual cycle. However, if this is new, you might consider having your doctor do a clinical breast examination. This can establish a baseline and he can determine if this warrants further investigation.
Avatar m tn How long may be the recommended interval period for resuming "Chemotherapy" after performing "Modified Mastectom" in which a couple of axiliary lymph nodes also removed ?
Avatar f tn A woman with a light period is not gaining much thickness in her endometrial lining during the early part of the menstrual cycle. This is usually an indication that estrogen levels are lower than normal. If estrogen levels are low, progesterone levels are likely to also be low and a woman may or may not ovulate with her cycles.
