relpax

Avatar f tn My head gets tingly, and headache doesnt go away. It just changes. Have tried a few, Relpax, Excedrin. Something will work for you, you just have too find it.
Avatar n tn Right now i am only taking Relpax for migraines. I have a headache almost everyday of the week and a migraine 2-3 times per month. I only take the Relpax during my migraines and may take tylenol, ibuprofen, or excedrin for my headace without any relief. My MD had spoken with me about taking medicine daily to prevent the occurence of my migraines. I really do not want to take another daily med because I want to have a baby in the next couple of years.
Avatar m tn I have seen my PCP who thinks that they are atypical migraines and prescribed me treximet and relpax to try. I have tried both with neither one having any affect on my headaches. I am convinced that this is still the spinal headache even though I was told by a nurse in my neurologist's office that it would be impossible to still have a leak. I'm waiting on my neurologist to get back from vacation to speak with her about it. I am completely miserable.
Avatar m tn My 18 year old son has terrible migraines and has tried the Imitrex also with terrible results. He has been using the Relpax and within 20 to 30 mins and only one Relpax pill the headache is gone! He suffered so many years wiht Migraines and now with his dose of Nortriptylin and his relpax as a backup he is living headache free. Definitely try the Relpax.
Avatar n tn Did they instruct you that if you take too many Relpax in a week that you can have migraine rebound? I too have Relpax and my script says no more than 2/day and 3/week because if I do it could cause migraine rebound.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Relpax 40 ml for the coming on of a migraine. I have been getting fewer and fewer over the years. However, I am only allowed 9 pills for the month thru my health insurance. Is there another new migraine medicine out there that I could get that would be similier but would allow me more pills for the month.
Avatar m tn So, what other options are there. I have tried Treximet and Relpax…..they are non-narcotic/barbiturate/opiate, but they are MAJOR expensive…and only take the edge off. p.s. I did a very fun thing today. I went through my house and found all other prescription meds that I don’t want/need or that I fear will be addictive. I put them in a small box and had a little fire in my back yard. Sounds kind of weird, but it was very therapeutic for me!
1088430 tn?1259159773 t cover your entire Relpax prescription, I am posting a link to a coupon for $15 off of your Relpax prescriptions. You apparently can't use this coupon if you have any sort of federal or state insurance, or if your private insurance covers 100% of the prescription. Otherwise, you can print this coupon and use it every time you fill your Relpax prescription (but it expires next April).
Avatar n tn Another good option is Relpax. It is a tablet BUT one of the benifits is that it helps with vomiting also. I did fine on this and I'm a huge vomiter (yuck, lack of a better word). Sure wish I had insurance still...Anyway, I'd seriously think of giving Relpax a shot as I was for sure it wouldn't work and it did wonders.
Avatar f tn What is the best way to treat migraine, when you've taken the medicine your Dr. has given you, but it's not working? I take Relpax 40 mg., sometime it helps and sometime it doesn't.
1508698 tn?1360215710 I too suffer from migraines, but a bit more frequently than you. The first med I tried was Imitrex, which made me very sick to my stomach. I couldn't keep it down. I tried Frova, which just didn't work. Then I tried Relpax, and that was the ticket. Keep in mind that all 3 are triptans, but that doesn't mean they are the same either. The Relpax I take makes me incredibly tired, but not sick to my stomach, and it takes care of the migraine within 30 mins.
Avatar n tn I also use Relpax, as needed, for migraines (which has been on a daily basis for the past week..so much for the KeppraXR). Relpax is the only thing I have found in the past 8 years that works (it turns my migraines back into plain old headaches). I am still trying to pay my medical bills on my own...I constacted five organizations that assist with medical bills...all said they are no longer able to help...donations are down. What is 'pronex'?
Avatar f tn I have recently been diagnosed with migraines and started with Frova which cause numbness in my feet, legs, arms, and fingers so I stopped taking it. Mr. doctor switched me to Treximet. It works wonderfully! I relieves the awful throbbing pain within 30-40 minutes and I don't have ANY side effects.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your posts. I've been reading the message boards on here for a few days now and have for the first time not felt so alone in this. I went from 8 - 10 capsules a day to ct. I've read about seizures - but thankfully never had one. On day 13 w/o anything - do you think I'm out of the woods on that point? Last night was the second night that i actually slept thru the nite! Encouraging! But like a lot out there - I'm most afraid of who I'm going to be off the pills.
Avatar n tn I have had migraines for ten years and I take relpax at the onset of a headache, sometimes though it gets to be too often and I cannot take relpax anymore than 3 times a week I know that my neck has quite a lot of knots and i get a lot of pain from my back especially neck before a migraine and I do believe they start from there. Does anyone know if physical therapy help migraines? can anyone help in pointing me towards the right thing?
1035252 tn?1427227833 s been trying all sorts of abortive meds on me (relpax, maxalt, imitrex, treximet, topamax, lamictal, frova, beta-blockers, etc)...but I can't take SSRI's because I have allergic dystonic reactions to SSRI's and anything in the category of phenergan now. I told him that the Norco was working, but that I would rather step down to something a little weaker. I think he just got tired of dealing with me and gave me darvocet.
Avatar f tn Been on a lot of different meds and nothing seems to truly work. If my headache is an actual migraine, then relpax does work for me. However, I've been having this pressure at the top of my head for weeks now and it has gotten much worse. When I take relpax for it, it makes it a little better, but not 100%. The pain sometimes goes behind my eyes and then I can't even do my job..which is computer related. Now is pain has moved to the back of my head to the right side behind my ear.
636450 tn?1250076820 Have you looked up the symptoms of hemiplegic migraines? This might help explain the symptoms of weakness to you, and how it can tie in to migraine disease. A google search should lead you to plenty of information. If you're still unsure, ask for a second opinion.
Avatar f tn I went to the Doctor yesterday and he just figures I'm having migraines. Is this normal for a migraine? I was walking to the lab to get blood work done today and thank goodness I wasn't very far from home yet. I blacked out in the middle of a busy intersection and was nearly hit by a car. The jerk behind the wheel was still coming at me laying on the horn and I barely was able to get out of the way when I realized what was happening.
635402 tn?1270162477 On May 16, Glaxo-Smith-Kline Pharmaceuticals, the makers of Imitrex, announced that they were releasing a new drug for the treatment of migraines. The new drug is to be called TREXIMET and according to the makers, was to be a vast improvement over Imitrex. Like Imitrex, it is made to be taken at the onset of a migraine, but is supposed to work faster and better to reduce migraine pain.
Avatar f tn So bad Iv made stupid comments about wishing I was dead and that God would just take me from the pain. I take relpax for my migrianes it's a perscription. And I also have immitrex injections. It's a shot I give in my leg for migrianes. I use a sinus rinse to help with the pressure and congestion and after a couple days it helps with the explosion feeling. I hope this helps! U can get the sinus rinse bottles at any drug store and go to a dr to get perscription of relpax or immitrex.
Avatar f tn Surgery is something again they are dancing around. I have headaches that never go away...but I do take treximet and vicodin for the pain (i don't know what I would do without the treximet - it takes the edge of one of my 3 different types of headaches). Okay well I have other pain related to all of this including my chest, neck, legs, and upper back area. Long story short. Anyway, my primary doctor is the one who does my pain management.
Avatar n tn I have chronic pancreatitis with pseudocysts & calcification, I also have an enlarged pancreatic duct and history of bile duct sclerosis.
