Relpax tablets

Common Questions and Answers about Relpax tablets

relpax

Avatar n tn I have the EXACT same thing. I've tried Imitrex tablets (no help since I threw them up), Imitrex Nasel Spray (once again, no help because I threw it up), Imitrex Injection (have you tried this? I couldn't keep taking because of an allergic reaction). Another good option is Relpax. It is a tablet BUT one of the benifits is that it helps with vomiting also. I did fine on this and I'm a huge vomiter (yuck, lack of a better word). Sure wish I had insurance still...
1088430 tn?1259159773 t cover your entire Relpax prescription, I am posting a link to a coupon for $15 off of your Relpax prescriptions. You apparently can't use this coupon if you have any sort of federal or state insurance, or if your private insurance covers 100% of the prescription. Otherwise, you can print this coupon and use it every time you fill your Relpax prescription (but it expires next April).
Avatar m tn My 18 year old son has terrible migraines and has tried the Imitrex also with terrible results. He has been using the Relpax and within 20 to 30 mins and only one Relpax pill the headache is gone! He suffered so many years wiht Migraines and now with his dose of Nortriptylin and his relpax as a backup he is living headache free. Definitely try the Relpax.
Avatar n tn Did they instruct you that if you take too many Relpax in a week that you can have migraine rebound? I too have Relpax and my script says no more than 2/day and 3/week because if I do it could cause migraine rebound.
Avatar f tn I have been taking Relpax 40 ml for the coming on of a migraine. I have been getting fewer and fewer over the years. However, I am only allowed 9 pills for the month thru my health insurance. Is there another new migraine medicine out there that I could get that would be similier but would allow me more pills for the month.
Avatar f tn What is the best way to treat migraine, when you've taken the medicine your Dr. has given you, but it's not working? I take Relpax 40 mg., sometime it helps and sometime it doesn't.
1508698 tn?1360215710 I too suffer from migraines, but a bit more frequently than you. The first med I tried was Imitrex, which made me very sick to my stomach. I couldn't keep it down. I tried Frova, which just didn't work. Then I tried Relpax, and that was the ticket. Keep in mind that all 3 are triptans, but that doesn't mean they are the same either. The Relpax I take makes me incredibly tired, but not sick to my stomach, and it takes care of the migraine within 30 mins.
Avatar n tn I also use Relpax, as needed, for migraines (which has been on a daily basis for the past week..so much for the KeppraXR). Relpax is the only thing I have found in the past 8 years that works (it turns my migraines back into plain old headaches). I am still trying to pay my medical bills on my own...I constacted five organizations that assist with medical bills...all said they are no longer able to help...donations are down. What is 'pronex'?
397977 tn?1201264847 Thanks for the reply. I have already tried the imitrex pills AND nose spray. That is the first thing my doctor put me on. It worked for a while but then like everything else, its not helping any longer. After the Imitrex, I tried Maxualt and Relpax. They both use to work. When Maxualt didn't, the Relpax would but now those don't even work. Plus, the Relpax is expensive. It cost like $10 a pill WITH INSURANCE!
Avatar n tn I have had migraines for ten years and I take relpax at the onset of a headache, sometimes though it gets to be too often and I cannot take relpax anymore than 3 times a week I know that my neck has quite a lot of knots and i get a lot of pain from my back especially neck before a migraine and I do believe they start from there. Does anyone know if physical therapy help migraines? can anyone help in pointing me towards the right thing?
488557 tn?1209023898 My life has changed so much since 06 ive had two ops now to remove glands that were affected and my neck looks beautiful ha. Hope i can get some answers would be nice to here that someone is like me .
Avatar f tn Been on a lot of different meds and nothing seems to truly work. If my headache is an actual migraine, then relpax does work for me. However, I've been having this pressure at the top of my head for weeks now and it has gotten much worse. When I take relpax for it, it makes it a little better, but not 100%. The pain sometimes goes behind my eyes and then I can't even do my job..which is computer related. Now is pain has moved to the back of my head to the right side behind my ear.
Avatar f tn I went to the Doctor yesterday and he just figures I'm having migraines. Is this normal for a migraine? I was walking to the lab to get blood work done today and thank goodness I wasn't very far from home yet. I blacked out in the middle of a busy intersection and was nearly hit by a car. The jerk behind the wheel was still coming at me laying on the horn and I barely was able to get out of the way when I realized what was happening.
Avatar f tn So bad Iv made stupid comments about wishing I was dead and that God would just take me from the pain. I take relpax for my migrianes it's a perscription. And I also have immitrex injections. It's a shot I give in my leg for migrianes. I use a sinus rinse to help with the pressure and congestion and after a couple days it helps with the explosion feeling. I hope this helps! U can get the sinus rinse bottles at any drug store and go to a dr to get perscription of relpax or immitrex.
Avatar f tn Thanks for replying, I have not had imitrex before but have had relpax and fioricet for migraine attacks in the past. And yes, the pain med has nothing to do with the migraine, but for a plethora of other issue....I only mentioned it as that was why I did not think to ask about why they were increasing my dose on the new med. I fully understand about the Tylenol concerns and trust their treatment plan for me.
Avatar n tn I do have a history of migraines, and sometimes this feels like I am on the verge of a migraine with this condition. I have tried Mazalt and Relpax and neither really help this current condition. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am a 36 yo female.
507619 tn?1211845850 i had been a migraine sufferer for 20 years....there are very specific migraine meds out there if you have TRUE migraines (imitrex, relpax, all that kinda stuff)....i got started on the hydros due to chronic daily tension headaches but never really used the hydros for my migraines....only used the prescribed migraine med....just don't try to convince yourself that the codeine/hydros are working to take away your migraines....cuz they really aren't....that's what all the imitrex, etc.
Avatar f tn I dont know if I should call the Dr and ask him if I should start taking 150mg or does anyone think its too early to say (3 wks) I take relpax when they get real bad and that works great, but 4 hrs later...BAM, the pain!!!! So, question is should I call the Dr and suggest or wait until I see him on Feb 21!!!...THANX!
Avatar f tn My husband was perscribed Cymbalta along with Imitrex and Relpax for migranes. He went into a coma and had to be on a respirator in ICU for 3 days. Is this seretonin syndrome? The doctor claimed it was just a coma brought on by an intese migrane! Weird, Huh?
Avatar f tn Iv tried preventatives that did nothing but bad side effects. Along with all sorts of pain meds. I currentlly take ibuprofen almost daily as relpax for my migrianes when needed one with a shot of sumatriptan (immetrex) injected in my leg when the relpax fails to work. Those are only acute meds and have to b taken wisely so I use them sparingly. I only get ten pills a month anyways.iv also had 6 nerves burned on left side of neck and an occipital nerve block in skull.
Avatar f tn Hi all I'm 6 weeks pregnant. Is anybody taking iron tablets. Is it a must. I am not enjoying taking these tablets at all.
