relpax

1508698 tn?1360215710 I too suffer from migraines, but a bit more frequently than you. The first med I tried was Imitrex, which made me very sick to my stomach. I couldn't keep it down. I tried Frova, which just didn't work. Then I tried Relpax, and that was the ticket. Keep in mind that all 3 are triptans, but that doesn't mean they are the same either. The Relpax I take makes me incredibly tired, but not sick to my stomach, and it takes care of the migraine within 30 mins.
Avatar n tn Right now i am only taking Relpax for migraines. I have a headache almost everyday of the week and a migraine 2-3 times per month. I only take the Relpax during my migraines and may take tylenol, ibuprofen, or excedrin for my headace without any relief. My MD had spoken with me about taking medicine daily to prevent the occurence of my migraines. I really do not want to take another daily med because I want to have a baby in the next couple of years.
Avatar m tn My 18 year old son has terrible migraines and has tried the Imitrex also with terrible results. He has been using the Relpax and within 20 to 30 mins and only one Relpax pill the headache is gone! He suffered so many years wiht Migraines and now with his dose of Nortriptylin and his relpax as a backup he is living headache free. Definitely try the Relpax.
Avatar n tn Did they instruct you that if you take too many Relpax in a week that you can have migraine rebound? I too have Relpax and my script says no more than 2/day and 3/week because if I do it could cause migraine rebound.
1580703 tn?1651904887 Alternatively, you could try BiPAP, which is a bi level pressure device, which regulates according to inspiration and expiration, and hence is more comfortable. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

Avatar f tn I have been taking Relpax 40 ml for the coming on of a migraine. I have been getting fewer and fewer over the years. However, I am only allowed 9 pills for the month thru my health insurance. Is there another new migraine medicine out there that I could get that would be similier but would allow me more pills for the month.
1088430 tn?1259159773 t cover your entire Relpax prescription, I am posting a link to a coupon for $15 off of your Relpax prescriptions. You apparently can't use this coupon if you have any sort of federal or state insurance, or if your private insurance covers 100% of the prescription. Otherwise, you can print this coupon and use it every time you fill your Relpax prescription (but it expires next April).
967168 tn?1477584489 Alternatively, you could try BiPAP, which is a bi level pressure device, which regulates according to inspiration and expiration, and hence is more comfortable. In addition, if any nasal blocks try to keep them patent with OTC nasal decongestants and aim for optimum weight with exercises or long walks. Hope This Helped and Do Keep Us Posted.
Avatar n tn Another good option is Relpax. It is a tablet BUT one of the benifits is that it helps with vomiting also. I did fine on this and I'm a huge vomiter (yuck, lack of a better word). Sure wish I had insurance still...Anyway, I'd seriously think of giving Relpax a shot as I was for sure it wouldn't work and it did wonders.
Avatar n tn Most everything lasts a while past expiration before deterioration, including food. Expiration dates have a margin of safety built in. That being said, the above is true, but vitamins usually have way more that anyone needs in them so a little deterioration in potency isn't that big a deal depending on why you're taking them. After all, much of them just goes down the toilet anyway, so again, a margin of safety is built in there, too.
Avatar f tn What is the best way to treat migraine, when you've taken the medicine your Dr. has given you, but it's not working? I take Relpax 40 mg., sometime it helps and sometime it doesn't.
152264 tn?1280354657 There should be an expiration date on the package--if its expired then I would not use it; pesticides can break down and become less effective or more toxic with time.
Avatar n tn Yes, a PFO can cause fatigue as the blood/oxygen level pumped into circulation may be compromised. More likely, the cause of being tired can be related to low blood sugar and anemia.
Avatar n tn These were precribed to me but I noticed the bottle expiration date is 10/2008. I have almost full bottles so I haven't thrown them out. Can I consider these safe? My husband says yes.
Avatar f tn You may want to check and see if there is an expiration date. Even if the expiration date is past, there are still okay to use as the expiration date is for the packaging. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I also use Relpax, as needed, for migraines (which has been on a daily basis for the past week..so much for the KeppraXR). Relpax is the only thing I have found in the past 8 years that works (it turns my migraines back into plain old headaches). I am still trying to pay my medical bills on my own...I constacted five organizations that assist with medical bills...all said they are no longer able to help...donations are down. What is 'pronex'?
Avatar f tn Thank you for the reply. My normal way to sleep is on the stomach or left side I never sleep on my back. I was on my back during heart by-pass surgery when they found the apnea episodes. I have 14 episodes an hour one point under moderate, I feel I don't really need the c-pap, I now have to sleep on back for comfort for my face,I spend most of the night trying to get comfortable on my stomach but can't!
Avatar m tn Alternatively, you could try BiPAP, which is a bi level pressure device, which regulates according to inspiration and expiration, and hence is more comfortable. Discuss these options with your consulting doctor. Take Care and Hope this helps!
1646889 tn?1301481228 I would question the fact that the pharmacist chose to ignore an expiration date, I don't think they just pull expiration dates out of the air, thet are there for a reason, it is not legal to sell a medication beyond an expiration date, I don't know why you would be advised to ingest one and have it be effective? He may be confusing a synthetic with a desicated medication, it could be synthetics have a longer shel life, but I would not use any that are expired, even over the counter meds.
152264 tn?1280354657 Is an unopened bottle of Systane that's 1.5 years past its expiration date safe to use? At least until I can get to the store for a fresh bottle?
