Avatar n tn Why would you need to take anything along with Advil? It is so safe it is sold over the counter like aspirin. Are you taking a lot of other drugs for something else? Even so, it's unusual for ibuprophen (Advil or Nuprin's generic name) to be contra-indicated with other medications. In fact, it is often prescribed with other things. Ibuprophen is an anti-prostaglandin and relieves muscle cramping. It only takes one or two (standard dose) to relieve menstrual cramps.
Avatar f tn I'm 5 weeks along with my first baby and I'm still having cramps. Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn Im 30 weeks today and I keep having menstrual cramping feelings that actually hurt. They are not not extremely close butthey do keep happening.
Avatar n tn Menstrual cramps are normal to have and I get severe menstrual cramps on the first day of my period as well. Typically it is just from hormones that causes the cramping, as the surge will cause contractions, making her period painful. Prevention is much better than management for pain. Exercise and eating healthy can help prevent menstrual cramps to a certain point, but won't always get rid of them.
Avatar n tn My ablation was unsuccessful and now to make matters worse, I have severe menstrual cramping. I take ibprofen every few hours and it does nothing to relieve the pain. I am sick and tired of being miserable every month. Do you know why my cramping is even more severe now and do you have any suggestions to relieve them? Could it be a hormonal thing?
Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn I have horrible menstrual cramps and the only relief i have found is ibuprofen, naproxen etc (Nsaids) but now i have developed stomach ulcers and gastro infections from it. So i I started taking paracetamol, and pretty high doses. But its not working. At all. What can i take for my cramps that works but are not nsaids? Not taking anything is not an option as I litterary wont be able to stand upright from cramps. I do take 80mg nexium a day. Thanks in advance for any help!

Avatar f tn I've been having lower back pain, menstrual like cramps, and occasional shooting pain through my abdomen. Anyone have ideas about what it is/how to relieve it. I'm drinking tons and took a tylenol.
Avatar f tn Any of you experiencing back pain?! Omg its not cool ;( any tips to somewhat relieve it??
Avatar f tn Theres no real concrete proof any methods like a yoga ball or squats start labor, just a whole bunch of coincidences :) I would feel ridiculous, like I was humping a ball for nothing lol
Avatar m tn This month, exactly 1 week ago today, I started having lower abdominal cramps. Mild ones like menstrual cramps, off and on, I was also experiencing some constipation. When I was able to go it would not relieve the cramps. These cramps have been going on for 7 days now and my period isn't due for another 7 days. I have felt a bit nauseous a handful of times over the last couple of days.
8171031 tn?1399327634 Ive been having leg cramps for the past few days. It usually feels like growing pains in my knee and sometimes up my thighs. I have tried lying in left side and right side and my back and no position really helps relieve it. Are there any exercises or things I can do to help get the blood flowing and lessen the pain? It wakes me up a lot, I havent had more than four hours sleep in a while.
Avatar f tn I get so dizzy I can sit up or stand AMDwind up in a ball on the floor squirming and crying tried every aspirin or menstrual aspirin out there and it doesn't help at all. Sometimes I am able to force myself to throw up and I feel better, other times it doesn't work and I'm left to deal with it for an hour or so. I've gone to the e.r 4 times in the past year for this and they never take me seriously, they tell me its a stomach bug or "normal" without even running tests!
Avatar f tn Try yoga, I've heard a lot of great benefits with doing yoga while pregnant. I get horrible back pain during my pregnancies.
Avatar n tn Im on week 31 and get the same symptoms i noticed drinking water and stretching helps alot. If not i take a nice "warm" shower (NOT hot) and it seems to relieve the pain. But they do say menstrual cramps are a sign of labor contractions but my doctor said if its not consistant its most likely false contractions or your bodies way of preparing its self for labor.
Avatar n tn pulling and tugging in my lower abdomen, cramps (menstrual type), and bloating. I got my first u/s at 5 wks/3days and the doctors saw one sac, but there was nothing visible. Is this normal? I still feel very pregnant. I’ve had not spotting or morning sickness at this point. When should I schedule my next u/s?
Avatar f tn Yes. I stretch my legs, massage them, or take a bath. The pain comes and goes for me.
Avatar f tn Going on my third day of a lower backache that comes and goes and menstrual like cramps with my braxton hicks. Did anyone else feel like this and how long before you went into labor? I've been 1 cm dilated and 25% effaced since 36 weeks, Dr appt today to see if I've progressed any! TIA! No other noticeable symptoms other than a little increase in vaginal discharge.
Avatar f tn The pain in your butt could be your sciatic nerve. Try yoga stretches to relieve the pain. The pain in your vagina is probably just stretching of everything. I get sharp pains down there occasionally. My Dr. says it is normal since everything is connected, you will feel stretching pains everywhere. If it feels very uncomfortable or oainful, it probably wouldn't hurt to get checked out.
