A few months ago i was cleaning the house and washed the dogs in a span of an hour. Then when i took a shower i noticed red/purple dot rash erupt over my left hand. It was not raised. My Golden Retriever has just recently started to stick her tongue out and in, she does not do in when she she is resting and she does not seem to be in any form of stress. She is normal in every other aspect. I just want to get an answer on why this has started to happen out of the blue?

You did a great job with your dog in that he lived for 14 years and was in good health. The same things that cause sudden death in humans happen to dogs as well. So the answer to you question is yes, dogs can die suddenly with no symptoms that anything is wrong. As traumatic as it is to those of us left behind, it was a kindness that he never had to suffer and likely didn't even know anything was wrong. Sometimes there just aren't any good answers.

hi I dont know if this is true or not but I heard dogs have different taste buds to humans and they dont feel heat from peppers like we do! I might google it and find out! Ill get back to you with the info........also ill find out if its toxic to animals!!!

boil some chicken livers (I know they are yuck) but, to dogs thats a real treat...if he participates in eating,,,then he could just be homesick and/or finicky, and mix the livers/cottagecheese/babyfood in w/the dog food to flip him back onto his food, and steadily wean him back off... You need to make an appointment with your vet to see what the cause of the redness is. If it's in both ears, it could be caused by allergies or he could have a yeast infection in his ears. A yeast infection, while not as easy to clear up as a run-of-the-mill ear infection, CAN be cured with medication.

There are many PURE bred dogs such as Labs that obtain purple spoting on the tongue aswell as huskies. this doesnot mean they have chow..that is a myth in its own. I wouldn't even waiste my time and money on those BS DNA tests.

I have red and white patches on roof of my mouth! also got a white coated tongue towards the inner portion! and end of the tongue is red it does not pain unless i brush it against the back of my teeth like what happens when your tongue gets burned ! the spots not painful! it feels a little rough in some places and taste is weird apart from that i feel normal. also got one red spot on both of the inner cheek near my molars! no other spots!

My dogs bun level in at 122 up from 85 in December. He is a Laasa Apso age 16. Liver and heart are fine. Phosphorus level is 9.6. My vet has only said this will get worse. So far he is not vomiting but has loss of interest in food and it is a real challenge to get him to eat anything. He sleeps most of the time. My vet has me giving him B12 shots every 3 days. Other than suggesting a low protein diet and Standard Process renal support he hasn't offered me anymore suggestions.

m really scared I have passed it on to my 4 year old son as he has had a very sore tongue initially with yellowish bumps but now red and white patches and what look like cracks. He had a fever the first night and now just seems under the weather with a cough and cold. The tongue symptoms seem similar to my first episode but milder....No blisters on lips or anywhere else in his mouth. Could I have passed this on to him by sharing cups, kissing etc?

As for the twitching, my dogs do a little of that when they seam to dream...but with the eyes rolled back and the tongue sticking out, I'm almost wondering if it's some kind of seizure.
