1340448 tn?1276527341 I have cold, red upper arms for years now. Also my palms are always red. Can somebody explain to me where this comes from.?
Avatar m tn I have these little red bumps all over my upper arms, and they have been there for many years now. I have seen my doctor and he did a skin biopsy which came back with nothing. The bumps don't itch, and they don't get any worse, they don't annoy me at all, but I would like to get rid of them if possible. Does anyone know what they are? 968590 tn?1247587654 Ever since I was little I have had what looks like a rash on my upper arms. Little red bumps that sometimes have a white center like a pimple, but nothing else (like the puss or scabbing) that you would attribute with acne. It doesn't itch, burn, or otherwise bother me except cosmetically, and that my skin seems to be very dry in that region and lotions do not help. I am 22 years old and slightly overweight...
Avatar m tn I have been having stiffness/weakness in my upper arms for about a year now. It comes and goes, changing sometimes in the course of the day. The only findings a year ago were high thyroid antibodies (but normal thyroid function), low vitamin D and fluctuating cortisol levels. My upper arms particularly are bad, but sometimes I have a general stiffness/crampiness in my calves. I generally do not feel well. Is there any explanation for this?
Avatar n tn I have a constant rash on my upper arms that has been there for years. I was told previously that it was infected dermatitis but the cream i was prescribed didn't clear it. Fucibet and Fucidin. It is not itchy, but consists of tiny red or white bumps, the white ones have a white substance when squeezed. The sun seems to help clear it but it returns again. Could it be an allergy. I am asthmatic. I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I notice it is much worse if I sweat or if I wear lotions that cause my upper arms to sweat. Unfortunately, like every one else explained, scratching the skin only worsens the itching, and then the topicals we use don't work. There is no rash, and I also think that is what contributes to doctors thinking it is psychological. I have been using Gold Bond Lotion for itching, with menthol in it. Unfortunately it is a lotion, which sometimes creates more sweat.
Avatar n tn I have a rash that is only on my upper arms and the backs of arms close to armpits. Small red bumps, somedays worse than others but always there. I have had it for over a year and a half now. Not painful, not itchy. Just there. What can I do about it? Is there a home remedy or over the counter cream I could try? My family Dr. told me a year ago that it was dry skin and would go away. It never has. Help please! It is nearly summer and I can't wear sleeveless clothing.
Avatar n tn I am an 18 year old female and have had a semi non itchy red rash on my chest, upper back and upper arms for about 2 years. The rest of my skin is smooth and clear and my doctor prescribed me Westin cream and it was not effective. I have changed soaps, lotions, luandry detergent and clothing and none of those elements seem to be the problem. It gets better at times and worsens at others but never fully goes away. It started on my arms, then went to my chest, then my back.
Avatar n tn I'm becoming more concious of them now and was wondering if you know what they might be. The dots are on the upper half of my arms and only on the top side reaching from my shoulders to just below my elbows. I also have similar dots on my legs, only on the thighs and only on the front but they are more purple in colour and smoother than my arms.
Avatar n tn I have noticed lately, more then usual, I am getting red spots on my upper arms. I can count at least several dozen on both arms, plus a small cluster of them on my right elbow area. I have had them on and off pretty much my whole life. They are about the size of a pen tip and bright red. Just kinda curious what they are, and if I should be worried.
Avatar n tn i read the forum on the red bumps on upper arms and I have the same issue. When i was visiting a doctor a few years back for a few shots before i left the country he asked if I had always had them I said yes cause I cant remember a time when I didnt. He told me that a vitamin would help make them go away, he said it was a vitamin they you get in the sun, as the sun apparently gives us this vitamin, therefore when it was said that they get better int he summer it made sense.
Avatar m tn This looks like urticaria or hives. The swellings or wheals produced after itching can be pale (of skin color) or red. Urticaria is usually triggered by allergens, such as drugs, foods, insect bites, inhaled substances, in response to sunlight, cold, heat, stress, exercise, or a viral infection. Other common allergens are pollen, mold, dust, pet dander, or cosmetics. Since you experienced an itch, just go over these possibilities in your mind. Something may strike you.
Avatar f tn Hi, I have lots of red bumps and uneven skin on my upper arms; recently some of these bumps have become spots which then scab and i'm left with unsightly bleeding sores. I now have lots of scars that are much darker in pigmentation than my normal skin tone - and only get darker in the sun. I'm getting married in october and am desperate to get rid of this but have no idea how, please help!
Avatar n tn It's during the treatment when I realized an awful rash on both my arms from wrist to shoulder. They do not itch at all, however they are red and often have white "head" puss inside them, which when squeeze it comes up like a pimple. They are raised, red and/or tanned and sometimes look like clogged pores. When I excercise and sweat they feel quite hot and a little burning. Can you please give me an idea what this could be?
Avatar f tn Lately, I've deveped some red, dry, round patches on my upper arms and wonder if that could be from the LS in place of just dry skin? Also, my mom has Scleraderma, and I wondered if that could somehow be linked to LS?
Avatar n tn I've had red dots on my upper arms for a while and can't remember when they appeared. They don't fade neither do I seem to be getting more but its hard to tell. They also do not seem to bother me in anyway. From what I've read they might be petechiae. They do not fade when I press on them. Its hard to tell how many there are because I also have a bit of keratosis pilaris along with brown freckles all over my arms.
Avatar n tn Keratosis pilaris is a skin condition commonly seen on the upper arms, buttocks and thighs. The skin cells that normally flake off as a fine dust from the skin form plugs in the hair follicles. These appear as small pimples that have a dry ''sandpaper'' feeling. They are usually white but sometimes rather red. They usually don't itch or hurt. Keratosis pilaris is particularly common in teenagers on the upper arms. It may occur in babies where it tends to be most obvious on the cheeks.
Avatar n tn I have red skin on both sides of my neck and my skin below my throat in a "V" shape. It doesn't itch. If I mash the redness below my throat with my finger and remove it there is a breif white spot that turns back red.
Avatar n tn I have always had a series of small red spots on the back of my upper arms. no matter how much i mosturise exfoliate etc I cant seem to get rid of it. Any suggestions???
Avatar n tn I am 30yrs old. I have had a skin rash on my upper body (arms, chest, & back). It is similar to acne, small red raised bumps. They itch very badly. Previous doctors say they do not know what it is and always tell me to take benydril. I have had them for 4 or 5 years and they come and go. Has anyone else had this kind of problem with Hep C? Could it be related? I have never been treated for Hep C because it has always been nonactive.
Avatar n tn I am wondering if anyone can give some insight as to why, over the past 6 months, the pigmentation of my skin in my upper arms would change? I am fair skinned (with a red hue) but lately the skin around my upper arms seems to be redder, blotchy, with some darker purplish areas - almost as if someone was squeezing the blood supply out of my arms.
