Last wek I got red and itching eyes, since then my entire face has become red, itchy and burning with some swelling. My neck now have become red and blotchy and is starting to itch. I've chanaged to new cosmetics incase something was old or wrong with them, this has not helped. Last year I had an allergy test and was told I wasn't allergic to anything. My diet has not changed. Please Help.

My wife developed this red rash on her on her face mostly on her cheeks and nose about six to eight months ago. At first we thought it was acne but no acne treatment helped. Our dermatologist doesn't know what it is. It happened about the same time she had her ears pierced. The backs of her ears have been swollen and red and she has a rash down the side of her neck starting from the base of her ears. She also says that her neck is itchy.
The thing is, you can only see the majority of it when it comes into contact with water - it gets horribly red and has spread over my face over time.. It now has a small place on my neck as well.. Now, it is always slightly visible (even moreso these days) on my cheeks.. and for added info when a dermatology place that came to a health fair was checking "sun damage" underneath a UV light.. you could see the rash discoloration of my face (malar)..
I have this rash which started on my face, neck and ears and has now spread to my arms, stomach and back. Its looks like small pimples with no whiteheads or anything on them. They are REALLY itchy, especially on my neck, which burns. I've only had them for a few days but they're getting worse. I haven't ate anything different or used any products that i don't normally. Any suggestions of what it could be?
I've searched the net but haven't found much yet.
I have a really itchy red rash all over my face and a little behind my ears, on my neck and a little on my chest. I started noticing it about 2 days ago. I figured it'd go away but it is getting worse and it is very uncomfortable. I don't know what to do about it. I asked my cousin and she said it was hives/shingles?? hi, about 8 weeks ago i noticed a rash on my body and face, mainly chest arms and shoulders had LOTS of small red bumps. on my face and neck i had lots of small skin coloured bumps. bout a week after the outbreak i went to the sti clinic and had some warts removed and i was given some cream for them, and antibiotics and some other pills for a bacterial penis infection. i told her about my rash and she said it isnt related.
Everytime I go to the beach or am exposed to the sun I get terrible acnelike red marks in my face and neck. I also get them in my upper back. I have been using sunblock #90, and also the rashguards (stretchlike shirts) to wear to the beach. My back problem is resolved with the shirt but my neck and face are breaking out and they hurt. I was told by a friend that petrolleum jelly is ok to put on the rash. What other product you recommend? Could it be an allergy to the sunblock?

For the last 3 weeks I've had this rash coming and going on my face, when it flares up it feels really hot. In the first week of it my throat felt like it was burning and one of my eyes was slightly red with a hot feeling to it also. These 2 symptoms have passed but the rash has not gone. I have stopped using hair products ie. hairspray etc and just use a mild shampoo/conditioner, there is also a feeling of hotness to the back of my neck.
Whenever I get wet my skin becomes extremely dry like its being pulled back on myseelf. It started as a red rash on my neck and has progressed to this. So about 8 months ago my son who is 9 broke out in a rash/bumps which started on his butt cheeks, moved to his legs (mostly around ankles) but still had bumps on his theigh too, then He had about 15-20 bumps on his stomach, back, arms and neck. Hmm...for several weeks I'd been working around and fighting some very dry skin and itchy patches on lower front neck and under/on earlobes.
Now for the past few days the front of my neck looks like there's a sunburn. While it is true that I'm on Doxy for my face, I truly do not think that only my neck has burnt. Some times it's worse than others. The itching really kicks in if any perspiring occurs in the area of neck rings.

Such itchy bumps can be due to contact dermatitis, allergy, hives or bacterial or viral infection. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used, whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid. But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
I have always gotten red in the face and had a red neck. I do have high blood pressure and do take medicine. I am a smoker and do drink some alcohol. I take procardia, metorprol and lisinipril for the blood pressure. With these meds it is regulated. I did have some tests done earlier in the year. One was a speical Cardio CT Angiogram and showed some narrowing of one artery, but not blocked. I have to watch my diet and stop smoking. Recently my face has gotten red more frequently.
