566950 tn?1216658403 has anyone ever seen rash on toddler like this? Has happened 3 x this past year. Child with extensive medical history. It was confined to back, burned without itchiness, and resolved within 2-3 hours. No causative factors, such as soaps, etc. found. And no,...he was not burned or scalded by the H2O. Please help! This child has been having strange symptoms that the docs can't figure out since the day he was born.
Avatar n tn My kids will get a raised red rash when they play in grass. Not every time for sure but sometimes. It disappears on its own pretty quickly. It's never spread but localized to the areas that were in grass. Your son may just have sensitive skin???? One of my boys does as well. I try not to make a big deal out of and kind of ignore it and it does seem to go away very fast.
Avatar f tn He took one look and knew it was a type of yeast infection - basically, it starts as slight diaper rash but develops into a larger rash that doesn't respond to typical treatment. She was prescribed econozole - however, many actually get relief from over-the-counter topical creams (apply to the skin where the rash is) for yeast infection. Perhaps your daughter's doctor, pharmacist, or nurse could advise you over the phone if it's worth trying.
Avatar m tn unfortunately the other day I did not know i was about to have a breakout... a couple hours prior to noticing a blister my toddler child shared a fork with me for dinner. What are the chances that my child will now have cold sores too? I have been doing some research online and the pictures of children who have cold sores is horrible! Is there any sort of preventative treatment for children to make sure they do not suffer from a painful and horrible breakout?
4413671 tn?1354204833 Have them get some wipes for sensitive skin and keep the nose and rash area clean he may need some cream for the rash, what do his parents say about it ?
Avatar n tn First, my 2 year old daughter got a rash on the left side, front of her trunk and on top of left leg, about a month ago (still there). She has had no complaints. I thought it could be from laundry detergent. Now, my 3 year old daughter came out with it, no complaints, except when she was first getting it, she said it felt like something was poking her. I called the pediatrician, they said not to worry about it unless there were other symptoms.
Avatar n tn It can also be due to contact dermatitis or heat rash.Pls apply calamine lotion on the rash and also make your child wear cotton clothes. Also in my opi9nion ,you should consult a pediatrician regarding this. I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how your child is doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
Avatar n tn We have gone to all hypoallergenic lotions, etc. I have been using zinc oxide on the rash and it has seemed to keep it under control a little bit, at least from spreading. No one can tell me what it is. I am getting frustrated! My son did not act like it was bothering him until two days ago, he began itching the spots on his belly. I am beginning to think it may be chicken pox. But then again, I may just be over paranoid, no one really appears to be as concerned as I am about it.
676912 tn?1332812551 I've been potty training Elijah, and I'm doing the naked method since it worked so well in Korea. It's working great now. He's going pee every time he has to go unless he just gets to busy to stop. He won't poop yet, but I'm not worried. He only wears a diaper right now when he's taking a nap or sleeping at night. He started getting a rash just above his penis, and his penis looked red around the head.
Avatar n tn However, (not sure if the following is related at all) just a few months ago when the weather started getting colder and we turned the heat on, he started getting a dry rash-like patches on both his legs. Sometimes some patches would last just a day, other times they stick around for a while. Sometimes as we're putting fragrance free Eucerin on it, it probably burns and he cries. But other than that, it doesn't bother him or seem to itch throughout the day.
Avatar n tn Now I can see the same in his chest, on his back and some on his face too. Is it any sun damage or any other allergic blisters. I'm not sure whether it is itchy...since he is not itching any part of the body. What kind of safety measures do we have to take, can I get the expert advice. Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn An itchy rash behind his ears, a rash around his eyes and on his face, a rash on his neck and hive like rash on his belly. The rash took a few days to subside. We are in the process of having him tested for allergies.
Avatar m tn my 3 year old son has developed a skin rash. He started to develop an itch on his penis and had pimple like dots 3 weeks ago and his doctor said it was normal and give him some onintment which cleared the dots. It has been 3 weeks not, his itch has continue from his penis to the rest of his arms and legs and back of the neck. I put olive oil to keep it from being dry and it appears patches of dry flaky spots developed and looked like it could be eczema.
1198479 tn?1267789307 My 21 year old daughter developed a rash overnight on the back of both of her hands. The rash is painful as, it stings and burns, sometimes itchy. Soap, lotion AND water makes it sting worse. She hasn't changed anything in her home (cleaning supplies, etc.) and the cleaning staff at her job say they haven't changed anything. Here are two links to see what the rash looks like on each hand: Left Hand- http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q244/kaybriant/Left.jpg Right Hand- http://i138.

Avatar f tn My 2 year old has unexplained petechaie spots appearing on his body. He gets about 10 spots a day, those fade and then he gets new ones. The spots are mainly on his underarm, back, and shoulders. But now a few of them have showed up inside his mouth (cheek) and on his face. Sometimes they are clustered together and sometimes it is just a spot here and there. He had 2 rounds of bloodwork that came back normal.
1670993 tn?1303750620 And his eyes will water constantly. The doctors have put him on 2 different allergy meds and neither seem to work. EVen if he wears sunglasses, the light still shines through the top and makes it hard for him to see. He could barely find easter eggs yesterday and there was nothing but clouds in the sky! I, Myself, have extremely light sensitive eyes that water all the time, but not the red spots. HELP!!!
1265027 tn?1284839951 Hi, welcome to the forum, adverse cutaneous reactions to drugs are common encountered now a days esp. if the person has an allergic past history. It is quite evident that your son is allergic to penicillins. Such allergy is seen in as high as 10% of patient ranging from mild rash to severe reactions and depends on the body's magnitude of sensitization to such drugs. Patients who are allergic to penicillins should avoid all penicillins.
Avatar f tn My 23 month old son has recently started sleeping on the floor. My fiance and I put him to bed in his toddler bed for his nap or bed time and a while later we check on him and he's on the floor. He's been in his toddler bed since he was 18 months and never had this problem until now. Any suggestions on why he does it or what to do about it?
