Hello, I have this recurring rash on my neck. It comes whenever my menses is to start. I was wondering if it could come from having oral herpes. Recently I have had a sore throat twice in one month two weeks apart. The rash on my neck is very painful. My doctor seems to think that it is some type of fungus. The dermatologists suggest that it is eczema. But I don't think that is the case.

Here is a picture of a rash on my neck. I also have a rash on my left arm thats bigger. They have lasted a few weeks. I have had recurring rashes for the last few years that come and go on my arms, upper legs and inner thighs, my neck and upper chest. They don't appear directly on my genitals or my back, or at the bottom of my feet. They itch and have a slight discoloration of red. They are slightly raised non-blister bumps, and have been lasting longer the last few months.
Have you been wearing anything around the neck or around the chest which could have triggered this reaction? Prior to the discoloration, have you noticed any redness or rash over the area? Is the rash itchy?
Based on the weight and height you have given me, your body mass index is 35 kg/m2 which is on the heavy side. I suggest that you try to maintain a healthy lifestyle and start to lose weight. Losing weight may help these dark discolorations disappear .
I'm undiagnosed and chronically I'll and any helpful information in regards to tests or doctors is greatly appreciated.

I've had this red ring on my neck for a few weeks now, it doesn't hurt or itch. I feel healthy otherwise. The skin feels normal and isn't rough or painful. It sort of looks like a hickey.

I went on a short trip and when I came back there was a small rash on my left hand. I knew it was probably an allergy so I left it and thought it'd go away after a few days. Now however, its spread all over my arms and its begining to show on my back and neck. They're small red rashes and spots probably 5-20mm in diameter. They don't itch, but spread. I have no idea what it is. In some of the rashes, it appears the skin at the centre of the rash has dried and died out.
A few days ago, I woke up with a very strange rash on my neck. There were two circles that were red, slightly raised, and very itchy. My whole neck seemed to be swollen. I'm a 58 y/o female who had a left total knee replacement 15 months ago with a subsequent MRSA sepsis. I underwent a second surgery where the left knee was debrided and the plastic part of the joint replacement was changed. I was treated with 8 weeks of IV Vanco and oral Rifampin. Now I have continual pain in my left buttock with "sores" only on the left side only. I continue with pain in the left buttock muscle, as well as most of my other joints.
I have a slightly red rash that's blotchy but not too noticeable that comes and goes that's located under my ears on the sides of both my neck. It seems as i have the same thing on the back of my neck on my traps. What I noticed is after I constantly use head and shoulders shampoo for a few times it goes away; when I stop using it, it comes back. Any idea what this is?
this is the most relevant question is it a dark place that everyone thinks is dirt and it dont come off no matter how hard you wash it i have this on my neck and inside of my legs.. there are several factors that can cause it to grow is being over weight not eating right or working out normal i have this also and had gestanonal diabeties and it went a way but it runs in my family on both sides so i am more likly to get it does it run in your family most diabeties is genetic.
I was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and I was researching answers for different questions when I came across a forum on this site. It talked about how a sign in young children for diabetes was that they would have discoloration on thier necks, almost like neck dirt. Ive had this for as long as I can remeber.
Sometimes it is lighter but it is always a much different color then my skin tone. I was wondering if there was anyway to get rid of it? Any certain product? Routine? What causes it?
I am a 61 yr old woman. For about 2 years I have had type 2 adult onset diabetes. Food mangement with Metformin and Glyburide. MG. usually 80- 140. Yesterday I was sick with flu like symptoms including a fever and chills. I slept off and on for 36 hrs while getting up to eat what I could. My left foot and ankle have been swelling for about 3 yrs and more so for the last yr as I now sit more at work.
I have had a red rash on my neck for at least 6months now. It hasn't really bothered me too much, as I tend to wear my hair down and it's not very visible and also doesn't really itch very much, hence I tend to forget about it! However, it has recently started to irritate me as it does not appear to be going away and is more visible if I tie my hair up. There is also an additional red patch at the base of my hairline at the back that I have recently noticed.
