Now she got a new flare up on the left side of her face. I have pictures of this from the start, we have seen every doctor possible and we are still needing someone to help her. She can't just keep having these and the only answer I get is to give her pain meds. The rash comes on within seconds, I have seen it and 1 second it is there. She said it feels like needles are coming through her skin from the inside out and can feel this pain some days before she will break out.

My 4yr old son has been sick for the last week with a fever, cough, congestion, joint pain, ringing in his ears, and now a rash on his face and sore on his arm. I noticed last week that his cheeks were flushed but I figured it was from the fever but now that the fever is gone, the rash on his face noticable. The rash looks like little bumps but all together in a bright red circle with some of the little red bumps are on his nose and lips. The rash is also dry and flaky.

I have had this rash on my face for some time. I'd say 18 months, to 2 years. Symptoms: I have this red rash (as seen in the picture) that sometimes peels, and on rare occasions itches. It often becomes sore if I wash it with any kind of soap. If I just leave it alone most of the skin appears smooth, but in the crease on the side of my nose dead skin flakes off. Peeling rarely happens anywhere else. It use to be just on the side, and end of my nose.

My son just turned 2 this past May. We've noticed within the last 4 months or so, when he gets angry... and I mean angry like a Terrible Two Tantrum type deal, he shakes violently, turns red, and when he is done crying/screaming - his entire face is covered in what appears to be busted/broken capillaries... all around his eyes, cheeks, lips, forehead... near his ears. Its almost like this insane rash covering all his face, it looks painful but he doesn't appear to be in pain from it.

ve now got tingling on my neck (that falls in line with the strip on my face)--even though the stuff on my face is scabbing over. I'm using abreva (the pharmacist said that it doesn't hurt you if used on healthy skin) in case it is simplex-1.

Before surgery they had him try amtriptyline after being on it for about a month he started getting a weird rash on tops of both hands we stopped meds and rash stopped. So on to now he was doing really great until few weeks ago when he started getting headaches again.

I decreased the dose back down, but the tingling/burning sensation has progressed to my whole face, tongue, lips, ears, sometimes eyes. I have a minor rash in patches on my face, but it is nothing compared to the steven-johnson rash pictures online. I was just wondering if anyone else had these type of symptoms and if they went away? This is the only medicine I have found to help me, and I really don't want to go off of it?

My friend describes it as inflammation, itchy, rash, and uncomfortable. I wish there is a way to post pictures may be it will be more understandable. Thank you!

My child broke out in a red rash on his face - tested negative for strep - no sign of illness. The red went away and the skin is now very, very dry. The same has happened to my face. What could it be? It is not itchy, it was initially alittle warm.

Hi, everyone! :) So I'm really hoping someone can help me with this! I developed this rash a few weeks ago. I'm 21, never had it before, it's not too big, doesn't itch, a bit dry/flaky, bumpy, and red. It's only on my right cheek, the rest of my face is clear. Before it showed up, I had not put anything on my face that I don't usually put. It may still be some sort of allergic reaction though or maybe stress? I don't know.

The only thing I have to go on is that it could be from the mango, although the physician assistant seems much more hesitant to label that the cause anymore. But the rash I had on my face is NOTHING in comparison to that on my penis. Plus it seems to be spreading, slowly. I was treated for graves disease several years ago and have since been taking synthroid. the problem is in the last month or two, i have been suffering from an unsightly rash on my face which won't go away. I cannot figure out what is causing it and i suspect it may be related to my thyroid condition. i do not think it has to do with any other conditions other than my thyroid problem. has anyone experienced the same type of problem with rashes?? what can i do to get rid of it??

It sound like an allergic reaction to something, what have you taken or been in contact recently ? is there any bite marks ? You should go to the E.R. right away.

For the last 3 weeks I've had this rash coming and going on my face, when it flares up it feels really hot. In the first week of it my throat felt like it was burning and one of my eyes was slightly red with a hot feeling to it also. These 2 symptoms have passed but the rash has not gone. I have stopped using hair products ie. hairspray etc and just use a mild shampoo/conditioner, there is also a feeling of hotness to the back of my neck.

I broke out in a rash on my face in April. It seems to be spreading... It's burning and itching. My allergies have been pretty bad lately so I've been taking Zyrtec. I'm wondering if this is a reaction to the Zyrtec or if the Zyrtec helps it calm down. It does calm down then "flare" back up. It's starting to look horrible. I've never had skin problems and Im embarrassed to go in public. Doctor doesn't seem to know exactly what it is.
