Common Questions and Answers about Rash on face

rash

Avatar n tn I was treated for graves disease several years ago and have since been taking synthroid. the problem is in the last month or two, i have been suffering from an unsightly rash on my face which won't go away. I cannot figure out what is causing it and i suspect it may be related to my thyroid condition. i do not think it has to do with any other conditions other than my thyroid problem. has anyone experienced the same type of problem with rashes?? what can i do to get rid of it??
Avatar n tn It sound like an allergic reaction to something, what have you taken or been in contact recently ? is there any bite marks ? You should go to the E.R. right away.
Avatar n tn For the last 3 weeks I've had this rash coming and going on my face, when it flares up it feels really hot. In the first week of it my throat felt like it was burning and one of my eyes was slightly red with a hot feeling to it also. These 2 symptoms have passed but the rash has not gone. I have stopped using hair products ie. hairspray etc and just use a mild shampoo/conditioner, there is also a feeling of hotness to the back of my neck.
Avatar n tn I broke out in a rash on my face in April. It seems to be spreading... It's burning and itching. My allergies have been pretty bad lately so I've been taking Zyrtec. I'm wondering if this is a reaction to the Zyrtec or if the Zyrtec helps it calm down. It does calm down then "flare" back up. It's starting to look horrible. I've never had skin problems and Im embarrassed to go in public. Doctor doesn't seem to know exactly what it is.
Avatar n tn However, they are not on my neck. What can I do to help alleviate this? With the numerous ingredients listed on face products now, is there any way to tell which ingredient may be causing this reaction so I can avoid it in the future? Thank you.
Avatar f tn Can syphillis Rash only be on face? Can rash be due to any other std?
459853 tn?1283140514 Even after daily hair washing, the flaky skin is still there, and on my face. I have also noticed now what looks like pencil erase sized patches of rash (though not red) and dry skin. Any help diagnosing this or any suggestions would be extremely appreciated!!!!
Avatar n tn I have had a "rash" that started on my chin, and has now spread across my face and into my ears. It is very itchy and has watery blisters that dry up and flake off (my skin is very red around this area). I've seen my GP and a dermotologist to no avail. Anyone have any suggetions?
Avatar f tn Pardon? Please explain, I don't understand the link between a dark rash on my face and parasites. How would I get these diagnosed? How would they be treated? What part of my question made you think of parasites? Thanks for thinking outside the box, even if you shocked me!
Avatar m tn I have an itchy rash on my face. At first I thought it might some sort of bite until they started popping up all over. My other family members do not have any type of bites either. They are itchy and then after a day or too become extremely dry. I had a few pop up on my arms yesterday too. Could this be hives?
Avatar n tn I have had a rash for several years on my face (across nose and cheeks) as well as on my chest (neckline). A doctor told me that it was tinea versicolor. In looking at the images on the net of tinea, I do have spots of it but it is not what the rash on my chest and face is. The rest of the rash is not circular and does not respond to any of the creams or medications given to me. This rash is just a general redness.
Avatar m tn I have had this rash on my face for some time. I'd say 18 months, to 2 years. Symptoms: I have this red rash (as seen in the picture) that sometimes peels, and on rare occasions itches. It often becomes sore if I wash it with any kind of soap. If I just leave it alone most of the skin appears smooth, but in the crease on the side of my nose dead skin flakes off. Peeling rarely happens anywhere else. It use to be just on the side, and end of my nose.
Avatar f tn ve had them before and they went away but this time there are more bumps and it has spread to the side of my face, under my nose, on the outside of my ear, and on my chin. I have not changed anything in my make-up routine, lotions, perfumes, or medications. The bumps are not red and don't itch. I have been washing my face with mental soap and warm water. I have no clue what cause the bumps/rash but I would like to figure out a way to treat this. Than you for your help.
Avatar n tn I have a had a persisitant rash on my face now, for over a month. It started out as flesh colored bumps and it itched. The bumps became very red and the itch got worse. I have both eczema and severe allergies. The rash is just along the right side of my face along the jaw line. It has not spread, and no one else has caught it from me. I went to my physician and he said to use 1% hydrocodozone cream twice a day. It went away briefly and then came back. Now the cream is not helping at all.
Avatar f tn My 1 1/2 month old has developed a rash on his face (majority on right side) it didn't look like it's bothering him but is this normal?? I also been looking up some stuff on the internet and I came across baby acne....any opinions??
Avatar n tn I have a rash on my face that started about 4 days ago, I don't know what it is but it is REALLY itchy, It's mostly concentrated on my cheeks, and forehead. Mostly my cheeks though, and it extends to my neck and ears. I do have a history of mild acne which has occurred on my forehead and chin but nothing to this extent. I'm dark skinned, or more like tanned so when i get acne i do have hyperpigmentation. Would cortisone help? If not is there any medication you could suggest.
