Rash kidney disease

Common Questions and Answers about Rash kidney disease

Avatar f tn Hello. Do you take any tests of diagnosing kidney disease? How much is your creatinine and GFR? Generally speaking, high creatine and low GFR will result in itch. If you have no idea about the underlying reason of itch, you should take a kidney function test in hospital to figure it out. If it’s kidney disease, you can try to use Funeng Therapy that is quite professional in the field of kidney disease.
Avatar f tn I am scared and have been reading up and a lot of these symptoms are related to kidney disease. Also diabetes runs in my family... I'm hoping someone can tell me if they've had similar signs and symptoms or any similar experiences and what the treatment/outcome was.
Avatar n tn Someone told me that the total protein loss could be from liver/kidney damage. Can you see any association with the Grover's disease diagnosis and the rest of the information that I gave to you to be indicative of something that you have seen in the past? If so, what tests might you suggest having done. The dermatologist told me that he has seen only one other lady with Grover's disease in his life and he is about 75 yrs old. I would appreciate any information that you have.
Avatar n tn I'm in Florida -- I was bitten in jungles of Mexico-- see the bump and rash a few weeks later and after that I been suffering from all these symptoms decribed in this forum. Took rash long time to go away as I remember first symptoms are high fever /achey /sleeping all the time . Then as disease progressed I get very dizzy and rooms spinning around and I thought it was a stroke. Then I think maybe kidney infection or Urine Infection. Neaver hear of Lyme and neaver associtated the bite at all.
Avatar f tn I work at a day camp and was informed that two of the children had come down with fifths disease - a week later I had the lacey rash and the severe joint pain and swelling. Luckily I knew exactly what it was and did not have to go through all the testing. The doctor confirmed Fifth's and said to ride it out... I read these posts and was horrified by the duration of the disease in adult women (I am 37) - Yes it was a living hell!
Avatar f tn I was recently diagnosed with Shamberg Disease. I have no idea what brought it on but I have blotches on my back, armpits, legs, stomach, and ankles. Of course, the doctor says there is nothing I can do except apply creams which probably won't work. I just spent two years with hives which allergy doctors said I got for no reason. After taking strong prescriptions for two years which made me sleepy, my gynecologist told me to try accupuncture for five visits.
Avatar f tn I went to ER and the useless doctor told me he couldn't see it w only using a little light ( the area was extremelu swollen which covered anything you'd be able to see.) In 2008 I was hospitalized for a week and a half due to Lyme disease. My body started shutting down. Started w my left arm and slowly attacked multiple other areas. I am having many of the symptoms and I can clearly see where the tick is as it's a dot surrounded by yellow puffiness.
865758 tn?1285956504 Most endos treated the D levels and did not look further into parathyroid disease. This is wrong. For patients with parathyroid disease, D levels drop because the body is trying to protect itself from absorbing too much calcium. Right now, my surgeon is leaning toward my having a small parathryoid tumor, but he's not sure. I'm waiting on one more PTH and calcium test. If you want to learn TONS about parathyroid disease, visit www.parathyroid.com . That's where I get my information.
Avatar f tn I started out with swollen lymph nodes on the side of my neck, high fevers, nausea, fatigue, rash and I was really dizzy. It all really started the end of August. SI had no clue this disease even existed. I was hospitalized for two weeks but they had to transfer me to another hospital since they couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. They tested me for a million things. It was a very painful experience and I never want to have to go through something like this ever again.
Avatar f tn A rash can be a sign of the kidney disease. I would have it looked at by a doctor.
Avatar n tn She was taking macrobid for kidney infection in jan. but rash did not begin until feb. she has seen primary care, infectious disease control and allergy doctos and none of them can tell her what it is or what causes it. Biopsy says bacterial fungus, but steroids and antibiotics not helping.
Avatar f tn He/She will start with the specific medications. If an internal disease is found, whether it's kidney disease, iron deficiency or a thyroid problem, treating that disease often relieves the itch. Lastly,Phototherapy can also be tried. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Avatar f tn I was badly bitten by a dog paralysis tick - and developed a weird trunk rash nightly for some days - but not the regular shaped round target looking rash that goes with Lyme disease. 7. I don't take medications other than HRT and recently a statin for cholesterol. 8. I have never heard of pig cell therapy??? What is it, and what does it do?? Thanks.

Next morning, swelling was back with right eye almst swollen shut. Swtched to o.c. Benadryl 50mg every 4-6 hrs. Swelling decreased more, itchy rash started on face & neck. Next mornig swelling decreased greatly, itchy eyelids, facial skin horriblybumpy, rash spreaded to chest, back, and upper arms.
3203287 tn?1346460234 You need to jump on this quick, the rash can snowball out of control very quickly. I got the rash the first time three days after I started treatment. Call your Dr. and tell him to prescribe something, mine finally prescribed fluocininde and it worked well, others have had different things prescribed to them and they will eventually chime in. But make sure you do call the Dr and be your own advocate and make him prescribe something.
Avatar f tn I would defiantly look into Lyme Disease and other tick born diseases as a possibility. Lyme Disease can cause all the symptoms that you are suffering from. I know from personal experience. Testing for Lyme Disease is also extremely inaccurate. The tests only pick up on 50% of cases of Lyme Disease. If they have already tested you for it, have them test you again. I know from personal experience, because I was sick with many symptoms for months and doctors had no idea what was wrong with me.
Avatar n tn Aside from dry skin due to cold weather, pruritus without the presence of rash can be due to certain medications, underlying conditions (diabetes mellitus, liver disease, kidney failure, jaundice, thyroid disorders and even blood disorders), parasitic diseases, irritation from soap, detergents, and clothing. The presence of hemorrhoids, anal fissure, or persistent diarrhea may also lead to itching around the anus.
4302001 tn?1352641867 I believe her rash looks like the bullseye rash associated with Lyme disease, just as mojogal has stated. I looked up many pictures of it, cause I wanted to see if maybe I remembered having a rash associated with a tick bite. Your daughters looks like some of the pictures. The other information I found out was that the bullseye rash can take up to 3 weeks to disappear but it will go away. I too live in Texas. I live in Austin, and believe I saw the Lyme rash 4 yrs ago.
1550149 tn?1340004330 Dermatitis Herpetiformis Dermatitis herpetiformis (DH) is an intensely itchy, blistering skin rash that affects 15 to 25 percent of people with celiac disease.3 The rash usually occurs on the elbows, knees, and buttocks. Most people with DH have no digestive symptoms of celiac disease. DH is diagnosed through blood tests and a skin biopsy. If the antibody tests are positive and the skin biopsy has the typical findings of DH, patients do not need to have an intestinal biopsy.
Avatar f tn Soo anyways, I still have tender lymph nodes in my armpits and crotch daily, intedtinal issues daily, hard skin patches that have formed and the hard blisters, chronic sore throat with sores in mouth and in nose (one of my nostrils have almost closed down permanently), ear aches daily, muscle twitches daily (mostly in legs), sleep deprivation, very troublesome intestinal problems, kidney pain, spleen pain (I assume is due to fighting a disease), slight liver pain, and random muscle pain.
Avatar f tn I am a 22 year old female, have always been very healthy, but recently was diagnosed early with lyme disease. I was put on doxycycline based on a huge bulls-eye ish rash on my leg, even though my blood test was negative. I developed a rash a day or so after starting the medicine but attributed it to heat rash and/or sun exposure. Was finished with the doxy, but the rash persisted.
Avatar m tn I have extremely high CRP levels, so high that my doctor said the nurse had never seen a 32 year old with my level before (whatever that means), my kidney level was high, my liver level was high, I am extremely B12 deficient (i do b12 injections) my doctor believes that the bells palsy i experienced was releated to the b12 deficiency. I have vitamin D deficiency...
215220 tn?1191460464 Some forms of kidney disease do have skin manifestation. However, streptococcal skin infections may present as clear blisters or vesicles usually affecting the lower extremities. I would suggest that you have this assessed by a medical internist. You may need topical antibiotics for this. If you have not complied with medications for the kidney infection then you may need to have a urinalysis and urine culture done as well. A fungal infection is a likely differential here also.
Avatar n tn This medication should not be used by patients with kidney disease, low blood calcium levels, or if allergic to biphosphonates. Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: trouble swallowing, ulcers or other gastrointestinal problems. It is also important to not smoke and to limit the amount of alcohol used as these can increase the risk of osteoporosis. This medication should not be used by pregnant or nursing women.
Avatar f tn Hi, How is your mother? The generalized itching with no rash may be caused by an underlying systemic disease, a skin disease in its early stage, a drug or food sensitivity, infections or even psychogenic. Anemia, kidney, liver and hormonal problems need to be ruled out. Have her evaluated by your doctor for proper management. Blood tests will help rule out these differentials. Vitamin B12 may not be a direct cause. Take care and best regards.
Avatar n tn Hello everyone! For years I've suspected I've had either IBS or Crohn's Disease. Recently I've had some crazy symptoms and was told to come here. In addition, I have typed in most of my symptoms on a diagnosis site thingy, and Crohn's came up as number one.
