t been on ranitidine long, i recently swapped from omeprazole which did nothing for me to ranitidine, so im still giving it some time before i rule out whether its working or not (although so far im not feeling much difference) I didn't realise that food intolerances may not come up in blood work, thanks for that information! seeing an actual gi doctor will be my next step.
ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. Flash forward to 5 weeks ago, I thought I was developing a bit of a chest cold with some chest tightness. Figured the cough would come along later... funny thing, it never came.
Had IV fluids for a day and Cyclizine injections to stop sickness, plus Ranitidine antacids which made a huge difference for me. Will be on Cyclizine + Ranitidine oral tablets for the rest of my pregnancy, am 18+2 and looking forward to being able to enjoy it at last!
My symptoms are constant nausea, feeling full very quickly after small amounts of food, loss of appetite and sometimes stomach pains. I also lost my period when I started to lose weight and I haven't got it back just yet although I do get pms. I've been getting really depressed because I just don't see how it can get any better. My doctor says there's no cure and he can't tell me if it will just go away on its own.
But instead of three tablets of 120 mg he is having only one of 120 mg at night as his body weight is only 41 kgs and he cant tolerate more. But he is feeling a kind of suffiocation in chest and breathlessness. He is also feeling low and tierd. He is 86 and till now has been a very active man. Please advise. He did not feel any effect of high psa- it was shown in a regular check up.
I have 10 month old twin boys that were born 9 weeks early and have suffered from reflux since birth. They have been on domperidine, ranitidine and carobel ever since. We have managed to ween them from the domperidine which seemend to go ok only a little bit of sick. With advice from our paed we have recently taken them off the ranitidine but ever since they have been up all night , uncomfortable and suffering from a sever cough.
Changed my diet and included good amount of vegetables. Since 2008, I moved from Nexium to Ranitidine. Well, you had sex on day 18 of your cycle . . . late for conception typically. Periods can be late all the time and being sick, in pain, on meds--- this can cause that. Stress, changes in routine, weight gain or loss too. I'm guessing you are just late. If you don't get your period in a full week, then go ahead and take a home P test. But again, I am guessing you're just late.
ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?
I also went to the doc for a lump on my inner left buttock. The doc prescribed my antibiotics and ranitidine. I took the antibiotics and the lump/bump went away, but I never took the ranitidine. About one week ago, I drank some beer and as I drank the beer my stomach started hurting, but I kept drinking (a lot). The next day my stomach started hurting bad! I had a sharp pain and super nauseous. I had a bowel movement (diarrhea) and my stomach feel better.
I am once again trying to exercise and work toward losing weight, because I know that all of my weight is causing the troubles with asthma and reflux/gerd. My doctor even prescribed metformin, a diabetes medication, to attempt to help me get some of this weight off because it is unbearable and causing more problems for me. However...
Now i am doubtful that i am pregnant as i removed my copper T recently. I am under treatment for stomach inflammation. i am taking ranitidine 150 twice daily for the last 2 months and buscopan when i have stomach pain. i take antacid when have heartburn if i happen to eat anything which is not suitable for my present stomach condition. pls tell me, is it safe to take those medicines if i am pregnant? or do i have to abort if i am pregnant? i am very much worried....thanks in advance.
A few years ago my doctor put me on 75 mg Ranitidine to take twice a day before meals. A couple years ago he also put me on 20 mg Omeprazole to take once a day for 14 days, after which he said I could start taking the Ranitidine again if i still had the heartburn.
After taking some higher doses of ibuphofen for a back injury, I started to have heartburn where my whole abdominal area from stomach to intestines felt on fire and I began having yellow stools. This has been going on for 2 months and I have lost 17 pounds. I was put on omeprazole which helped with the burning for a little while and then seemed to stop working. They tried ranitidine and it didn't work at all. Now I am on protonix 40mg twice a day.

Have ordered Rupatadine/Rupafin from Canada. Trying to find info about possible side effects, esp hair loss (yes I am vain).
In order to treat Acid Reflux/GERD I have been taking Ranitidine/Zantac per doctors advice. I started developing various side effects several months ago. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so.
first loose weight. use an acide reducer like nexium or something else. small frequent meals and do not eat after 7pm.
