ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?
Now i am doubtful that i am pregnant as i removed my copper T recently. I am under treatment for stomach inflammation. i am taking ranitidine 150 twice daily for the last 2 months and buscopan when i have stomach pain. i take antacid when have heartburn if i happen to eat anything which is not suitable for my present stomach condition. pls tell me, is it safe to take those medicines if i am pregnant? or do i have to abort if i am pregnant? i am very much worried....thanks in advance.
A few years ago my doctor put me on 75 mg Ranitidine to take twice a day before meals. A couple years ago he also put me on 20 mg Omeprazole to take once a day for 14 days, after which he said I could start taking the Ranitidine again if i still had the heartburn.
I just had a pain management appointment at my PC doc. He said I tested positive for morphine and negative for xanax. I take 1-2 ,25mg xanax a day-prescribed by him for anxiety. He referred me to pain management and that Dr prescribed me 15 mg Amrix and 50 mg Nucynta ER a day. He said the morphine is not from the Nucynta and that I must not be taking the Xanax or Nucynta that neither one of them showed up. I am not taking Morphine of any kind.
Some studies have linked EBV with Hashimoto's, but there's nothing conclusive. In order to treat Acid Reflux/GERD I have been taking Ranitidine/Zantac per doctors advice. I started developing various side effects several months ago. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so.
ve learned to supplement my Esomeprazole (none of the others work) with ranitidine over the few days and use antacids/Gaviscon advance as needed.
Extra propping up when 'laying down' is also required. It really reinforces all the usual GERD management tips, like eat little plain meals to nourish, avoid greasy or strong flavours, avoid caffeine, avoid acidic (fruit juice) or fizzy drinks.
Zantac or the generic ranitidine, my Dr gave me the ok on Monday because everything I eat gives me bad heartburn
Please help. I’m on ranitidine 300 2x’s day. This has been months daily worse. Thought I had kidney stone. Ck’d no Stones. Pain under rib. Pain is from under left rib to kidney. I am gassed up, with loose stool. I have slimy discharge anally. I’m wondering if it’s the ranitidine causing. Urologist has no clue. Reg Dr wants me to have colonoscopy. What is is, what do I do. I might go to area Hosp. ER tomorrow. Tied of constant pain. Father had cancers. My PSA was high recently. Please help.
ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. Flash forward to 5 weeks ago, I thought I was developing a bit of a chest cold with some chest tightness. Figured the cough would come along later... funny thing, it never came.
My consultant has taken me off omeprazole and replaced it with ranitidine due to the fact that my magnesium is low, and is making my calcium low too. Has anyone else had experience of this change, and if so, how has your body reacted to it.

I would personally not worry about taking it previously. Hope that helps.
I take 20mgs. Prozac daily.
Also take co-codamol 60/1000 x2 times daily. Also, Ranitidine 150mgs. x 1 during day & 300mgs x1 at night. Often take Ibuprofen 800mgs. at night too. Sometimes I take Diazepam 5mgs. per day as necessary.
Recently I've been so depressed I started taking BUSPIRONE 5mgs. x3 times daily.
My question is, are any of these drugs interacting adversely with each other?
You might want to talk to your doctor about trying to eliminate different foods from your diet to see if that helps.
Gaviscon or prescribed ranitidine have been my saviours this last trimester. Was 100 percent against any medication before trying ranitidine. Sickness and heartburn gone!
