Have a sensitive stomach and get burning pains especially if food has chilly or is strong in acid. Ranitidine has helped but from time to time suffer missing hearbeats. Having given up the drug for a while things improved but stomach started to suffer again and thus the reason to re-start the drug.

Please help. I’m on ranitidine 300 2x’s day. This has been months daily worse. Thought I had kidney stone. Ck’d no Stones. Pain under rib. Pain is from under left rib to kidney. So the news broke last month that Zantac has high amounts of ndma in it. Ndma is used in lab rats to induce cancer. How are they giving this stuff to millions of people for 40 years and just now finding it out? Surely the makers knew from day 1 that it could convert to ndma? I took this for several months and took 24 pills of it for gastritis like symptoms. I also have mental health issues.

it might help you heal?! ranitadine is for stomach ulcers and usually you get those from stress. maybe something in your life needs to be changed so it is more relaxing for you? or you could add something in your day just for you to enjoy. read, bubblebath, crafts, walks, computer time, games, puzzles and so on. in anycase i hope things turn out alright for you. i went to go see the doctor before ttc so that i knew i was in good health.

Hi there, Have you had an Endoscopy before? You should get a referral to a Gastro Enterologist for a scope and scan of your Gallbladder to check for stones. hi, i wish I could tell u if rantindine stops working. but I was just diagnosed today of having GERD. and that is the med my Dr. gave me. See your doctor and get referred to see a gastro. You can have an endoscopy and then you will know whats wrong with your stomach. You will be given a PPI tablet if its that,Im on Pantoprazole. I use Gaviscon or Sucralfate liquid. Have you tried Ranitidine? That may work.

In order to treat Acid Reflux/GERD I have been taking Ranitidine/Zantac per doctors advice. I started developing various side effects several months ago. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so.
