In order to treat Acid Reflux/GERD I have been taking Ranitidine/Zantac per doctors advice. I started developing various side effects several months ago. To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so.

She prescribed him Amoxicillin for his ear and told me something about the dosage. All I remember her saying is something about 1 tsp. I figured the pharmacist would write the dosage on the bottle when I got it so I didn't bother asking the doctor to repeat herself. Well, when I got the medicine today is says take 1 tablet three times daily for 10 days. The only problem is that the Amoxicillin isn't in tablet form. It is a liquid.
ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?
Now i am doubtful that i am pregnant as i removed my copper T recently. I am under treatment for stomach inflammation. i am taking ranitidine 150 twice daily for the last 2 months and buscopan when i have stomach pain. i take antacid when have heartburn if i happen to eat anything which is not suitable for my present stomach condition. pls tell me, is it safe to take those medicines if i am pregnant? or do i have to abort if i am pregnant? i am very much worried....thanks in advance.

ve visited some medicine dosage conversion sites but I am horrible at math to begin with and this is just overwhelmingly difficult for me to figure out exactly what amount was given to him. So here is the information that I hope will enable one of you to help me work this out.

He was prescribed/given: 2 cc (which if I understand correctly is 2 ml?)
How much was he given?
He weighs 27.5 lbs which as I understand it is 12.5 kg.
PLEASE help. My question is do you think my child's liver, kidney, or heart could be damaged? How would I know?
Here is the story:
Greyson had a 102 fever for four days straight with no other symptoms while we were on vacation. I called the Dr.'s office in Florida and the receptionist who answered the phone just said to give him tylenol. That is what I had been doing-it would relieve the fever for just a bit but it would shoot right back to 102 as soon as it wore off.
Zantac or the generic ranitidine, my Dr gave me the ok on Monday because everything I eat gives me bad heartburn
Please help. I’m on ranitidine 300 2x’s day. This has been months daily worse. Thought I had kidney stone. Ck’d no Stones. Pain under rib. Pain is from under left rib to kidney. ve never been officially diagnosed, just something my GP thought might be bothering me and prescribed me ranitidine... long story short, the ranitidine worked fine (150 mg/2x a day) and I was symptom free within 24 hours. Flash forward to 5 weeks ago, I thought I was developing a bit of a chest cold with some chest tightness. Figured the cough would come along later... funny thing, it never came.
My consultant has taken me off omeprazole and replaced it with ranitidine due to the fact that my magnesium is low, and is making my calcium low too. Has anyone else had experience of this change, and if so, how has your body reacted to it.

I would personally not worry about taking it previously. Hope that helps.
Do not go by his/her age....use the weight dosage. It is more accurate. If the fever continues, rises, or comes with nuerological symptoms....you need to get him to a doctor.
My son didn't even notice it. Just keep the front of his diaper rubbed down with a lot of Vaseline. Him being that young I would ask your pediatrition instead of us. We wouldn't be able to tell you the dosage and what not. I don't believe babies that young are suppose to take anything though. I know it's hard looking at their little weenis like that though.
